Had a guy come in after he did a trans oil change and he asked us to do a transmission reset so basically we teach the TCM when to shift gears, this only needs to be done if you’re swapping a gearbox or repairing a gearbox, not if you do something as simple as changing the transmission fluid, so the guy has probably been scammed by a garage and deluded into thinking that it’s a necessary step when doing an oil change on the gearbox lmao

It was so funny to me because I kinda just stood there for a full minute and looked around
