The host doesn't really seem to know how to do a cayo without being detected and we kept failing, he restarted many times to the hell with elite bonus, but then when we finally managed to get main and full bags of gold, he goes out from the storage like a walk in the park and get detected AGAIN

but we made it to the exit

once I'm out, the screen froze for a minute and then I started running on an empty scenario where there were no NPCs, then after a few secs it tells me "FAILED, your CEO left"

So I spent like 30 mins trying to help this mofo for nothing!

and he ends leaving!

Happening across multiple ISP/locations during the same time frames. The person I responded to is also from India, We have talked, he is completely on the other side of the country from my perspective, has a different ISP ; Yet when he said it, I had experienced the same sitting at home, one of my other friend from another part of the country was kicked out.

I ran network utils on my PC while running the game : No jitter/traffic overload/packet loss and the bandwidth I get from my ISP is sufficient to do much much more. SO unless All three ISPs in the country went down at the same time or the local networks at three different places (geographically separate) happend to have an outage /overload at the same time (Granted it is possile, but the chances are slim) I'd say it could be because of some maintainance / change going on on the server.

I am a network engineer whose bread and butter is networks, so..

Unless we hear of some sort of an outage /load balancing issues across ISPs in our country, It is safe to assume (and plausible) that it is the servers.

you can build an entire NOC in your home and monitor everything, but you can't do much about it anyway, the only thing you can do is to complain to your own ISP if they're causing you issues

I'm open to learn more. From an end user perspective, for a co-op multiplayer, you have co-op, specific IP ranges and ports whitelisted - which in most cases in SOHO routers, are not restricted anyway.

If ISP has an issue, you'd see drops or issues with multiple routes from source to destination specific to your game or any other application for that matter, this is why we run generic utils for different apps, because behind the scenes connectivity is always (is client able to connect to server) no matter the app

are the required ports open? (Yes)
are the required IP ranges (which any clients connected to whitelisted) ? (Yes)
are there any drops or packet loss on your local network or any hops between u and the server the client is connecting to? (No)
are you stilling connected to a Wifi (on a band which does not reach your PC ) -- so local connectivity (sometimes this happens) -- Na, I am good.

If the answers to the questions above are the ones that I provided, then it is safe to assume certain things my dude.

I got an idea for a GTA Online DLC. What if we could chase Tornados with a Declasse Yosemite 3500 (Which is based on a Dodge Ram 3500 Dually from Twisters 2024)?

So our business would be an NSSL (National Severe Storm Labratory) Business as we can capture photos of various tornados (Photos - $50,000),Deploy Probes ($75,000) or Intercept ($100,000). And passively you can get up to $85,000 to $150,000 normally - But you can boost that to $300,000 (Per 3 in game GTA Days) if you got business upgrades such as (Storm Tracking Data Research,An Upgrade Area for your vehicle

The Yosemite 3500 can get an exterior armor rollcage,a Mesonite (For looking at Wind Speeds) and Augers (Which are spiral drills that you can use anchor your truck or storm chasing specific vehicle to the ground to avoid being picked up or moved.) - (It's missile capacity is normally at 3 but can go up to 7 with the armor upgrade.)

Your associates can each pick one up yes but there is a limit to how many spawn otherwise it’d be too easy. I only ever helped people with two others so there was only three at a time. Max could be 4 not completely sure but if I were doing my own work, I completely solo it. I don’t lose anything in the process by not paying a single dollar.

Casino bugs and "bugs" are numerous but they're mostly related to your internet connection and your framerate
having everyone in the heist a) not have internet that sucks donkey testicles and also b) locking to 60fps (PC) or quality (i.e. 30fps console) will help prevent most of these from affecting your heist. That goes for everyone in the heist, not just you as host.

and remember that NAT / cross-player ping, not many MBps you have, will affect your gameplay more - because every idiot who says "my internet is fine" usually has lag up the wazoo but doesn't realise it. speedwise GTAO can be played on a 20MBps link totally fine.

the real problem in gtao is matchmaking, not the p2p aspect
why tf do i ever get matchmade to someone thousands of miles away in a mumbai suburb on tethered with massive lag and transient ping spikes of >1000ms when there's thousands of players near me with almost no lag and <100ms ping

matchmaking has been patched and patched into oblivion and it barely now works
the fact that we've seen an influx of ppl like my friend in mumbai over the last 5 years and the crappy matchmaking is why online is getting so bad

I don't see why you'd want to source for the nightclub when it is all automatic. I don't remember seeing Yohan giving two items to pick up anywhere but I feel like it doesn't happen because people just naturally solo it.

Crates warehouse doesn't matte how many associates. You select either 1, 2 or 3 crates to pick up. I only ever solo'd my vehicle warehouse so I really don't know if you get several cars to pick up if you have several associates working for you.
