Pay no mind to the toxicity. To answer your question although I've never done a salvage yard contract, the weekly update videos or newsfeed will tell you the cars that are available and the mission names associated with it. You can then cross reference the cars on your salvage yard computer.

cockstar has designed the ui of salvage in such a way that you cannot really see which robbery will happen when selecting the car to steal. You have to rely on online sources and then you will get to know which car robbery is which.
