its not really the speed that's the problem (as long as you're the only person using it) its more the connection type
latency and NAT are more critical to gtao working
there is not a lot of actual data flying around when you run gtao so beyond about 10mbps the link speed won't actually make much of a diff

a lot of ppl dont realize this because they don't actually know or actually understand about anything and go "my internet is perfect, is 100mbps" when they're actually NATed up the wazoo or on a crappy tethered link that might bench fast but scores horrifically on latency and NAT
but in your case if it's 5mbps from the outset in 2025 it is probably poopy tier in not just speed

8000 players are legacy menu users whose menus no longer work in enhanced (or dont work at all anymore) - they were able to migrate because their menu / method made their account money look legit since rockstar clearly didn't do rank checks during the migration validation and despite what they said it's mainly about where your money came from which blocks you from migrating
there's only a select few menus in enhanced, they can't do that much yet and also unless they're actually using a bypass they have the same limitations as in legacy - i.e. they can't stick around in public for long before they get booted
this is why most ppl aren't seeing menu users in enh
