anyways heres my end point I think that gta V while it is a open world and has free roam in both online and story mode it cannot be defined as a sandbox game since the core gameplay of the main Story mode singleplayer mode is a linear story driven campaign, with free roam afterwards. Additionally the online mode is driven by a update-to-update dripfeed system with the main goal of accruing money to buy access to future updates and other activities such as pvp and vehicles. There are sandbox elements and modes such as director, or customizing vehicles and apparel, but since these reqcuire earned or purchased currency they are not a creative sandbox. the main game play is a open world free roam, not a sandbox, thus it can only be defined as a open world game with sand box elements. There is an argument that it is a sandbox since you have a wide range of activities that you can pursue at liesure but that is just the definition of open world, not sand box.

for nightclub passive income you don't even need to upgrade MC businesses, only if you plan to use them (I wouldn't recommend it, though, not enough effort<>money ratio) the only business worth upgrading is bunker, again, if you're planning to use it.
if you want another good way of making money, agency is a good one, Dre's contract is a clean 1M you can do over and over, no surprises, straight forward, and you also have the side hustle here and there with the other contracts and the phone hits, just if you're bored and need something in between other activities
