It pays pretty well with the upgrade, and unlike Nightclub which takes a while to pay fully back, you'll make the upgrade money back pretty much straight away, then you have a nice business you can run in the background with a relatively easy sale missions, just like Nightclub.
If you AFK then Nightclub is the king of businesses, but otherwise it's just a good one with two passive sources of income.

but its a balance of getting griefed and poetntially losing all your stock if you failed to shut down the game in time, vs earning less but having a guaranteed sale in invite only

on console its probably a good idea to have a lag switch as a panic button for that reason

the low tech alternative would be to have console on wired network, break off the latch tab from the console side of the ethernet cable, and wrap the cable around your foot

ghost org etc has to be used strategically since it won't cover your entire sale mission

its a semi-free business aimed at ppl starting out

semi-free in that there is a cost for the acid lab but all the missions before that pay for it
however most ppl spend that money on a car and come to discords saying "i've no money for acid lab"
