Actually, no copyright does nothing but hurt the music industry in the digital age. The reason why it existed in the past was because it was a lot harder to get out and people to hear it so that you can advertise so they wanted to have monopoly on advertising and showing of songs.

But in the current era, whenever you see that someone is going to play a song that’s copyrighted all that’s gonna make people do is not want to play or listen to that song for fear of your stream or your movie or your game getting taken down which is gonna do nothing but make it hard harder for you as an artist to get your name out there because people are going to avoid your music
