The vigilante has been outclassed for years. Even if it can be used in missions, so can the oppressor. Vigilante is something you only buy as a gimmick.

I don't mean far distance, I mean when on missions and you have a bunch of NPCs you need to shoot

just an example, when in Dre's contract you go with Ballas and Families to take the car from Vagos, you can simply jump back onto your Kuruma and shoot them all from there, without being shot back
