Auto shop unlocks perks like being able to customize your vehicle at a lower level and it unlocks the Union Depository. It comes at the price of KDJ and Sessanta. (Nothing I want and everything I don’t want.)
Salvage yard is money on the side on top of whatever other businesses you have. You could do three contracts a week and able to tow cars. (I’ve never done a contract and only got one to tow cars)

for missions if u want armored vehicle get the kuruma its cheap and virtualy bulletproof no NPCs have rockets so its basicaly god mode

also if u have story mode u can go into story mode and increase the aim assist in settings and it carries over to online mode.. it makes shooting bad guys a lot easier

downside is ur more likely to lock onto the wrong target but its fine

idk if aim assist is the correct name of the setting but theres a setting

and u can only change it when ur in story mode
