The important thing is to get rid of the guards' helmets - that makes it a lot easier - that only takes destroying 3 shipments. If you destroy 6, they will have light armor and mediocre weapons. If you destroy 10, they will have no armor and weak weapons.

Yes, it would honestly be worth filling up with cash to complete an elite challenge over risking getting caught on the way back to the airstrip just to fill up with weed. As opposed to before all the patches and nerfs, cash is no longer the worst target, weed is. Now after all the nerfs and patches gold/paintings/cash are just about the same in value because they got buffed while weed itself remained the same making it less valuable.

Did you happen to leave immediately after the cut scenes? Word of advice, NEVER leave the game after any set up for cayo perico or you lose the progress to said set up. Instead, it’s usually better to simply go buy a clothing item or change the color of your car or SOMETHING that requires you to make a purchase to force the game to save. You COULD also simply switch between saved outfits and force the game to save that way, but I’ve noticed doing anything else after the set ups to force the game work better.
