You clearly didn’t see rockstar previous game trailers. Some trailers including GTA 5’s uses cutscenes from other angles in the trailer. Example in one trailer where Trevor says “now what” was literally taken from the final cut scene of ending C, they just moved the characters to another location.

Trailers from bully and rdr 1 use actual gameplay with an editing tool. You can make trailers by just using rockstar editor.
