You can test the persistence easily by taking a mk2, and taking a toreador, and taking a ruiner for comparison, you on the mk2 will have a Buddy in a toreador and ruiner shoot at you, when the toreador shoots at you, once the missile gets close you can do a tight boost turn dodge to evade the toreador missile however if you try the same with a ruiner you can not evade it because the ruiners tracking persistence is literally that strong
