Best weapon for strength build (ng suggestions only)

Exile GS is a perfectly good str weapon afaik

Greatsword is good too so you could try it out when you get more upgrade mats, it's mostly gonna come down to preference

FUGS is alright, but it's heavier and has less AR than the Greatsword. It does strike damage and has a poke R2 though, and block frames on its stomp WA

Exile, fugs, or dragonslayer’s greataxe

Or good old claymore/astora greatsword

For SS I’d choose broadsword

For regular axe go dragonslayer’s axe

U can also force buffs on any weapon

Lightning blade + fugs is op

And dragonslayer’s greataxe + lightning blade deletes bosses

I shifted to exile in late game around the ringed city dlc and it works amazing, dragonslayer greataxe will be helpful against all bosses just spam the weapon art and you are good to go

an ultra greatsword getting less AR than a greatsword is not "good" by any stretch
