you got this man, dont be afraid of him. he looks big and scary but hes not all that, roll towards him always if you're not already. Also roll into the direction he is swinging to lower your chance of getting hit. Dont freak out in second phase. He is one of the toughest bosses in main game (not the toughest but one of).

He was the hardest boss so far for me. In my first playthrough now, and defeated like 5/6 bosses after him that were all significantly easier. A piece of advice that perhaps not many will give you: try a greatshield, preferably with magic shield spell (only 10 intelligence and simple staff required). I had little luck dodging both their attacks, but blocking them was actually doable, especially with magic shield spell. Of course your strength stat has to be high enough to wield one
