if i infuse my shield with hollow, while being hollow, does my luck (for bleed) will be "higher"?

steel fog
#

if you have 15 or higher hollowing any hollow infusion that is visible on the character will give you luck based on the reinforcement of the level of the item

small gate
#

i have that shield on +10, with luck lvl43

#

with skarp bandit's knife+10

steel fog
#

luck has no impact

#

+10 hollow infusion with 15 or more hollowing = +5 luck

small gate
#

so the bleed wont be "buffed"?

hazy yew
#

I mean

#

yeah

#

so if you're fine with putting extra points somewhere to make blood go brrrr you're better off with 18 faith and gnaw

small gate
#

faith boosts bleed chance too????

hazy yew
#

nope

#

you need 18 to use gnaw

small gate
#

ahhh, gnaw

#

i use knife

hazy yew
#

well yeah knife in right hand and cast gnaw with left

small gate
#

i can try

#

gnaw is in divine deep braile tome, right?

hazy yew
#

probably, the one you take from the mimic in the cathedral

small gate
#

yup

#

thats the one

#

thank you for explanation!

#

got my hollow shield

#

and being hollow

hazy yew
#

(that implied you should remove points from luck because on sharp added bleed buildup is close to none)

#

(refer to screenshot)

small gate
#

ik, but it adds to critical, and bleed infusion is only if i attack mych

#

much*

#

i mostly parry

#

but i may get 2nd knife with bleed infusion

hazy yew
#

luck doesn't add anything to critical hits

small gate
#

ik, but for bleed if i decide its best to just DPS 'em

#

but except foir that, i parry

hazy yew
#

that luck barely does anything with your current sharp infusion, also you will make em bleed pretty often if you cast gnaw

#

tbh even saying that luck helps with bleed infusion (which has better bleed scaling) is a big stretch

#

you'll be having much more frequent bleed procs with 3 times less stats investment if you just use gnaw

steel fog
#

^ luck is a pretty bad stat in this game

small gate
#

the bleed infused bandit knife has very low base dmg

#

like very

#

(both compared at +10)

#

and has worse scaling

#

s

hazy yew
#

yes, you use it sharp. what I was saying is luck is useless even if you want enemies to bleed. There are just better ways to achieve that

small gate
#

can abyss watchers bleed?

steel fog
#

it has worse visible scaling, the luck scaling is better than on sharp (still not worth)

!ds3 boss data

small gate
#

higher = harder to bleed?

hazy yew
small gate
hazy yew
#

yes

small gate
#

so pretty hard?

hazy yew
#

but as long as there's a number they can bleed

small gate
#

to proc

steel fog
hazy yew
#

am I blind

small gate
#

im gonna play on bleed, and beat abyss watchers with it. and then ill decide if i use sharp and no bleed, or bleed infused

hazy yew
#

considering how much abyss watchers move around, it's unlikely you'll make them bleed a lot

steel fog
#

they're also really easy to backstab so that's less bleed buildup too

small gate
#

wait...

#

now i realised

#

if yo uhave 74 bleed in stats, and abyss watchers has ~600 points in that, that means i have to hit 'em that many times, for 74 each hit to reach ~600?

steel fog
#

yes, also not accounting for the decay in buildup over time

#

which should be 5 per second

small gate
#

oh oky

#

not i understand

#

thank ya all

#

ok ok, im gonna go for sage

#

he is bleedable, right?

#

lmao ye

#

he is, real easyly
