At that point you are usually only invaded by Heysel if you don't do questlines

And it's easy to miss her invasion trigger

You're approaching this through the wrong lens. No one removes code or features before distributing pirated games

Can't speak for ds3, but in ds2 there are a bunch of offline/online exclusive invaders
