Have i been playing ds wrong?

I have played bloodborne ds1 and so far ds3 while following fightincowboys walkthroughs, should not have beed watching walkthroughs?

I normally use his walkthroughs if i get lost or something but other than that its fine if you prefer it that way

ye. i've noticed his quides rly straight to the point and helpful when I get a bit lost or stuck
