#Which weapon should I stick with?

I just found the sellsword twinblades and since I had heard it's considered one of the best weapons ingame, i wanted to give it a try. It didn't really blow my mind to be honest, I'd much rather use the Irithyll straight sword but I am not certain. Which do you consider better for early game (lvl. 25 right now) and for later, i wanna stick with one and eventually start upgrading but smithing stones are few and scarce now. Irithyll straight sword or sellsword twinblades (current important stats: dex: 16, strength: 10)?

It's not a matter of opinion

#

Sellswords has the best dps possible for a non sl802 build

#

Irithyrll ss is one of the worst straight swords in the game

#

If you like the feel of a straight sword and want to do the best damage possible while using one, broadsword is the answer

If you want dps, you may want the weapon with the highest dps in the game

In this very short convo I've made 3 statements. In one of them I state that sellswords has the best dps in the game, and in another I say that the irythll straight sword is one of the worst in its class

Sl 802 is the highest level. Means you have everything maxed out. Then, and only then, a 99 dex str and luck hollow broadsword will outdamage the sellswords

Are you using sellswords 2h and mashing l1

#

If not, that could be the reason why you aren't feeling the dps. Because it isn't there

dealt like what 80-100 per click

I don't know what right clicking corresponds to in a controller, but you should be seeing your character hit with both the blades

but godamn you were right, i first tried the stray demon while only getting hit once, died twice with the ISS

An optimally built sellswords has ~40% of a damage output gap compared to the average dps of other optimally built weapons

Ds3 dmg formulas be so needlessly convoluted devs couldn't bother checking
