So I have found a issue where when my vr is connected, my ALVR is open on meta (or oculus wtv you call it), its open on my computer, developer mode is enabled on my oculus, and I allow files yet it still doesn't detect my vr and just says Unknown, image provided below

use one vr program only

#

so do not use alvr at the same time as steam link or meta software

#

try disable your microphone, maybe latest version has bug related to this

#

also check that the device is "authorised" - you should see a popup when u plug cable in

#

if its not authorised it wont show up

Turn Developer Mode off and on in the Meta Horizons app and it should ask you on the headset to authorize it. That's the only way I could get it to work. Allowing file access is not enough.

#

As in the app on your phone. Not on the headset. No idea why.

I was having the same issue and I fixed it by downloading the older vb audio cable
