Errors on startup

I got an error when I tried to use ALVR with popos.
I don't understand what it means, please tell me how to fix it.

in steamvr settings check openvr options

reinstall steamvr might fix it

Thank you for letting me know. I can't view the settings because steamvr closes immediately after launching it. Is there a way to open the settings without launching it?

I tried changing the OS.
garuda linux (arch base)
I got the following error:
'SteamVR linux files missing, aborting startup, please re-check compatibility tools for SteamVR or verify integrity of files for SteamVR.
I checked the compatibility but it's the same

make sure you are not using proton for steamvr, its native linux app

Is it ALVR for popos? Does the steam client use native or runtime? Sorry for asking so many questions.

https://github.com/ValveSoftware/openvr/issues/179 old issue but check if the file exists elsewhere and sym link it to the correct location if so

i ran into this problem myself recently, my config was messed up because of wivrn

i had to reset my config and run steamvr with no options to reinstall it

im having the same issue, what config file do i have to reset? Running through the ALVR wizard did not fix it
