#V20.10 is locking up my whole computer

Tried to run the new v20.10 streamer and my quest won't connect and now my whole pc just froze, only my mouse is moving and all the applications are frozen

I can't even record it, it's all locked up

this actualy seems to be a bug that got introduced in some v20 point release

i dont know what happened but I restarted it another 2 times and now it working flawlessly

so much for "protocol compatibility" sigh, I'm doing my best

oh uh, I realized that the dashboard/server may crash if server and dashboard are from separate versions. there is no perfect way to avoid mismatch. the protocol version doesn't take into account dashboard-server communication

Do you happen to know how to make alvr launch other apps when you launch steamvr via the connect script or does it not do that?

but your pc has serious issues, you either may have to reinstall windows at some point, or change faulty hardware

I tried that but when the dashboard and steamvr are launched differently it doesnt connect and makes the game start in desktop

oh wait, that connect script is for when the headset connects, not when steamvr launches
