I noticed with the quest 3 controllers there is a feature with the triggers where it can detect where your finger is on the trigger itself, and i was wondering if there was a way to use that in a way where you could emulate the index touch pad, and i also noticed that there is a sensor on the quest pro controllers where the thumb rest is that is very similar to the index touch pad and i was also wonder for the users that have quest pro controllers if there was a way for that touch pad in the index emulation

i see, and just to clarify i do mean that you could potentially use the inputs from the trigger sensor as an input for the thumb pad on the index controller,
lovely, well i hope that it is usable because imo this would be a pretty cool and potentially useful feature
true
afaik valve is currently improving that so you could probably remap it later the steam link patch notes mention paying attention to the touchpad
there's actually a stylus/strap force sensor too
They're hopefully going full hybrid tracking support later
What do you mean full hybrid tracking? I'm curious
Cameras always track hands even when holding controllers, no transition time, also it's supposed to track wrist direction so your elbow is in the right spot.
Do you mean it's related to this #1194462993786871919 message ?
Yes, but better in the even newer firmware.
