what's the headset that's showing in SteamVR window?
SteamVR only ever allows one headset. If that other headset driver loads first, then ALVR can't
Sorry context. I upgraded from vive(wired) to quest 1 (wireless) i tried with the vive unplugged too + a reboot. It still refuses to let alvr detect steam vr. Since i installed monado(before i knew was seperate) and disabled addon/used command to disable it, still... alvr doesn't load in
Os is ubuntu
well, something is still there and claiming to be a VR headset
Okay ill try removing the usb to usb cable on the linkbox. Maybe tahts still registering
That didn't work. Alvr still doesnt detect steam vr even with the entirity of the vive removed... monado broke it
used to work no issue pre monado even tho monado is disabled... its still brickwd
Any more suggestion? Only things in my pc are main monitor, mouse, and external hard drive.
I have a duel boot with endevour... it doesnt fair much better. Alvr Dashboard cwn open steam vr but... it refuses to call steam vr connected and no pciture in headset, eeven tho the headset calls it connected.
how did you install steam?
Yay and aur for endevour. Debian package for ubuntu. I just meed either oen to work
Before monado ubuntu worked flawlessly...
After some help from everyone here on the form with fixing the sound.
Now its nuked. And alvr endevour finds steam vr now and will not work.
Ubuntu only workee in alvr tcp mode by default. Alvr just will not work on endevour
It wont let my headset work
Monado bricked it so bad on ubuntu im tempted to just nuke my entire system jsut to get alvr back... but i dont wanna lsoe my data. It shoulsnt require an entire system nuke to fix...
