i was following these videos and this is the only thing stopping me
This is video will show you how to setup your ALVR headset & controllers (Quest 1 or 2) as vive trackers for full body tracking or to just use ALVR controllers with another headset.
As of writing these features are currently only available in nightly builds, they will be part of the next stable release.

If u r like me, somehow happen to have another quest 1/2 laying around, maybe u bought it so that u can play with family member, or u got it but already upgraded to a better VR headset, and u don't want to spend money on vive tracker but still desperately chasing for fbt, then this is one of the solution

There are multiple methods to this, I wasn't able to find the exact solution, so hopefully Jules may be able to shed some light on it!

ensure that you change Allow multiple drivers to true in the config file of Steam VR for it to work, found at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\resources\settings
are you using VD or Link for your Q3?

i'm not sure how it works exactly with link but, make sure you launch link first then open ALVR then launch it with ref on

idk if this is normal but my headset is showing up as a controler
make sure you have good straps or mounting, otherwise you'll have to reset a bunch
