idk its just gone I haven't seen it since getting alvr properly configured

I haven't really had this issue in awhile so I forgot I even had this issue

I misunderstood its role in how alvr worked for me it doesn't prevent alvr from working for me but it does appear

This was exactly the solution for me (Arch linux, same basic error). Notes: my firewall settings don't save on reboot, and vpn has to be disabled.

I don't have a firewall on my Arch system tho I have a VPN but its not connected most of the time

the firewall isn't needed because I'm behind 2 routers

and one or 2 of them has a firewall

I'm on Nobara and this exact solution fixed it for me too 🙂 GUI for firewalld is called firewall-config, you likely have to install it from dnf.
