hi ok, i have this keyboard that uses ZMK firmware for it. on my PC i use the "English UK" keyboard. when i have UK keyboard selected on my pc, any key i set as backslash wont actually type backslash but it'll type "#"

is there any way of fixing this? (please be aware that i have absolutely no knowledge or experience with coding or anything to edit the firmware)

im pretty sure its a semi custom built firmware that im using i think?

#

would importing thoes replace it/break the custom firmware?

What's the keyboard and where did you get the firmware? Depending on your definition of "custom", I would say all ZMK firmware are custom and there's no such thing as "non-custom" ZMK firmware.

#

The usual way to change keymap is compile a new firmware for the keyboard and flashing that. In that sense it will replace the old firmware.

And where did you get the firmware? I searched that name and found a few store pages and reddit threads but nothing about firmware.

from the owner, he flashed the board with it, i can ask him for the firmware if that would help?

You should ask whoever you bought it from for a ZMK configuration/keyboard definition you can build. Yes.
