Hey all, I have a Sofle i bought on aliexpress and trying to flash it. I can see by double pressing the reset button that the info it gives me in INFO_UF2.txt that I think it is using a nicenano:

UF2 Bootloader 0.6.0 lib/nrfx (v2.0.0) lib/tinyusb (0.10.1-41-gdf0cda2d) lib/uf2 (remotes/origin/configupdate-9-gadbb8c7)
Model: nice!nano
Board-ID: nRF52840-nicenano
SoftDevice: S140 version 6.1.1
Date: Jun 19 2021

However, should I use nice_nano or nice_nano_v2? I've tried to flash both but whilst it seems to flash properly (the keyboard disconnects itself), the keyboard doesn't actually work and the display seems corrupted. Any troubleshooting steps I could follow?

Probably nice_nano_v2; what does the controller board look like? From Ali, I assume it is a SuperMini clone or similar?

#

Do you have a GitHub repo set up so you can build the firmware with GitHub Actions?

Might be worth enabling USB logging

Er, I guess the bot does not come on here

I'll try it, thanks

Anything show up in the logs when you press a key?

No, just some similair messages occasionally

Emm, I don't know if that is necessary just yet. How are the controller boards attached? Can you pull them from the sockets?

Are you sure it's not the integrated controller variant?

Could you post a photo of the keeb, near where the USB goes in?

Unfortunately there's a 3d printed case around it, I can't take a look at the insides very easily 😅
