Is it possible to do something to change the main half to another (from the left to the right and vice versa) at the touch of a button, or, for example, that when the right half loses contact with the left, it becomes the main one?

no, not that trivially. you would need to flash both halves with reset firmware followed by firmware that assigns different central/peripheral config.
