I’m having problems with the devise showing in the connect step. I have noticed that the led on the board lites when I first physically plug in the device but then goes off. I also noticed the port list acts like it was about to update but then reverts back to the original list. Question is : Is the led a power indicator and should stay on? Is then devise not liking the connection? I am using Chrome on Ubuntu and have used it to flash other devises. Thanks for any help!

The LED is controllable from within Home Assistant, it won't be on until you have flashed it.
Most likely Ubuntu is the issue, you need to make sure the usb group has permissions and that you have the ch340 drivers installed (I think Ubuntu does but worth checking)
