Hey Lewis.

I have 3 x ep1 on their way (EST3535)

DHL in Canada is a complete dick when it comes to import packages. They're hitting me for an additional $20 in import fees (not the taxes, this is on top of that), which is just them rubber stamping the import and a way to suck additional $ out of their deliveries. This doesn't happen
with other couriers.

I really have a gripe with DHL. I ship quite a bit with business and have told them flat out that we'll never use them strictly because of this double dipping policy they implement.

Only ways I can get around this are to claim it as a demo rather than a purchase or physically go down to the shipping centre and sign the piece of paper myself (unfortunately this is a 5 hr drive from where I live). Well, that or I refuse and then they return it to you and don't refund any
costs.

Anyway, would you be cool with it if I cantacted them and said what you're shipping me is a demo and not a purchase?

Not sure how that impacts your side. I can understand if that doesn't work for you. Just drives me bananas when companies gouge people when they have them bent over the barrel

Hello!

Can understand the problem with that, it is quite annoying. Having said that, DHL have been insanely good with delivery, we have zero issues with them in terms of delivering properly, in excellent condition and never losing them. You get what you pay for though I guess and we are in the process of adding other options!

I'm not sure if they will accept that because on the commercial invoice it'll be down as sale not demo

Ya. Might be too late for this. Just a kick in the you know where.

Taxes: $18.38
Handling fee: $18.39
If I lived near Calgary, the handling fee would be $0 if I go sign the papers, which I know many who have.

All good! 👍

I live in Mexico and yes DHL is way more than other delivery companies, but never lost anything or held at the border with DHL, lost packages and had one lost for three months by FedEx,

Yeah, DHL hit me with $280 in import fees on my shipment of EP1s. They got here quick, but damn was it a pretty penny. Nothing that could really be done about it by what I saw.

@undone oyster I don’t have a DHL tracking number. My two orders have a DPD Local tracking number and neither of them have provided a status for a number of days, simply stating that it left the UK. Order numbers #EST4394 and #EST4350

Your tracking number says due for delivery Friday if you have a look at it

Oh I see. I though DHL was the standard. Must have missed that. I hope Customs doesn’t block it

#

Interesting, I just checked and didn’t see that. I should pay more attention

No DHL is a premium service (like insanely fast and really good service) so costs the most

#

You've gotta put in your zip code and it'll tell you the delivery day

It’s a Canadian postal code and the prompt states that it’s for UK addresses

#

But it worked. Thank you!

I put in your zip code and works fine 😅
