Hi, I've expanded upon the original mod, Renamed Quickhacks by FrogHater90, with my own ideas and due to requests from commenters on Nexus, I've uploaded my version of the mod with the original makers permission. Thank you, I hope you enjoy it.

Currently, the mod features the Detailed Command Codes pack, which gives every quickhack a fully code-like style with symbols and structured syntax, making them feel like actual commands you’d run in a cybernetic interface. But that’s just the beginning — I’m also working on additional packs that cater to different preferences and playstyles:
Note: All attached images are taken with the Detailed Command Codes pack installed.

Simplified Command Codes – a cleaner, easier-to-read version that removes most symbols while keeping the technical, command-like feel.

Reimagined Default Quickhacks – stays close to the vanilla names, but adds extra clarity and polish.

Life Path Hackstyles – future packs that will tailor quickhack names to the player’s chosen life path (Corpo, Streetkid, Nomad), reflecting how each archetype might “think” about hacking in-world.
Examples of what these rename packs will look like can be found on the mod page.

The idea is to give players options, whether you want full immersion with code-heavy commands, a slightly refined default experience, or roleplay-driven naming that fits your character’s background.

I’d love feedback from the community on these ideas — whether it’s which packs would like to be seen next, or suggestions for additional quickhack or interaction renames.

This mod adds more immersive cybernetic interactions by renaming quickhacks to be more code/command/program-like.

I really like the idea, but it feels a little inconsistent with how output redirection is done. Sometimes its a regular >>, sometimes its a pipe, sometimes it is a Java-esque operator, or sometimes it is value assignment via "=>" of all things. It is just so non-uniform.

I would say it breaks my immersion a little, since, if I invented a new quickhack, I would not know how to write it down in this syntax.

After looking at it more I actually saw a few inconsistencies. I've gone through and made sure all the quickhacks use consistent operators, which are also detailed in a lil syntax legend I made on the mod page. So that'll all be fixed in the next update. 🙏

Late discord update

Released Detailed Command Codes Pack v1.2-1.3
1.2 Changes:
Changed “Ram Cost By” prompts to use dedicated extension prefixes (++/ and --/) instead of the universal ./ prefix.
Added new pipe-forward syntax |> – indicates commands whose outputs can flow into subsequent processes.
Added |> to certain interactions, and quickhacks to hint at stackability. See ReadMe in download for details.
Added startup text changes(intentionally and accidentally).
Added another missing quickhack rename(Remote Deactivation).

       __1.3 Changes:__

Added 25 changes, some missing, some new.
Added language support for Simplified Chinese and Portuguese.

  • Accurate Syntax Commands(New Pack)
  • Less-Detailed Command Codes(New Pack)
Both new packs changes are up to date with everything added in Detailed Command Codes v1.3, not including language support, yet.

There are now a total of 7 Rename Packs on the mod page! 5 of which are very unique, the other 2 are more simple and easier to follow and have Quickhack-only versions for those who prefer the minimal changes!

Currently the LTBF Optional file only supports the main rename pack "Detailed Command Codes", but the next batch of updates will include more optional files to give support to all the other rename packs available.

Not all rename packs have language support yet either so keep that in mind! Only the first 3 packs have some support and even then only 1 pack has support for 4 languages while the other 2 only support, well 2, for now.*(LTBF Optional File language support will be added eventually but will be limited due to the limited amount of translations for the mod.) *

Thanks for supporting my little mod! 🙏
