Hey everyone! I updated my Modding Tutorials page; this time with a tutorial for basic Cyberware Recolours. I also show you how to edit .mi files, to combat the Embedded Textures present in certain options! (Shoutout to Scrabbydoo98 who first introduced me to editing .mi files and gave me permission to pass on that knowledge in this tutorial) SCWblushHEART

I also uploaded some Powerpoint Slides that show you the names of the Cyberware Options in the game files, as well as their respective .mi files; so you can easily see which option is which in Wolvenkit doggolove

I'm heartbroken at losing the screenshots of people's projects that they made

Considering some of the stuff people upload to Nexus, I'm not sure why my tutorials were an issue

I'm gonna hold off on publishing my projects for now. Just sad about it all tbh

I'll stop going on about it though, don't want to spam.

It won't be cleared up, I emailed them and to make a long story short it somehow doesn't work with their rules and I don't think I'll ever get the page back

I'm gonna go take a break now, I might permanently move to Patreon because Nexus is low-key pissing me off KEKW risitas kkek

IMO it would be good if you guys could discuss internally how the fallout for something like this could be managed. Losing comments and pictures sucks, especially if the stuff has been up for a long time

maybe you could archive that and offer it for download for a time, or something like that

As I would never ever ever have found that stuff on the Nexus forum, and the whole "Modders Resources" category makes no sense if it has to be a whole mod

Well in regards to "modders resources" it means not a text document

because while text documents on Nexus are not optimal for modding, they are still better than no guides at all

and there are many of them

#

and trying to direct users towards the forum means that anyone who isn't active on the forums (e.g. me) will never see them

plus, there are no clear rules about what should or shouldn't go into that category

or at least, none that I've been able to find

Well, this is a disheartening thread to stumble across. 😦 I never would have published the one mod I have thus far published without instructions I found as a modder's resource on the Nexus.
