Since, most of the chips, I wanted to make in the first place were codded, I started Polishing the existing ones / relevant mechanics.
I realised, that the memory perks, that grants player specific perks, are not that easy to evaluate what they do, since player will have to go back between perk tree and chip description, to know what the chip actually unlocks, so I Updated the chip display, to also show relevant perks on the separate tooltip next to the item tooltip. The perk tree, also shows which perks are semi-unlocked by the chips too. I also though it would be interesting, if some of the memory chips, had hidden effects, and they would only be shown to player, if they occur in game (for example player equips relevant chip and cyberware at the same time):

Also, few more chips I have been working on in last month 😄
Also, trying to figure out, some unique effect for Judy's chip. My original idea, was to have it automaticly counter enemy attacks in melee, as to kind of what I felt happened to V, durning Judy's questline, though, I wasn't able to code it in the end.
for now I have it just unlock few perks, but I deffinetly want to try to give it some better unique effects
If someone has some ideas for that one, feel free to share 😄
Is this Phoenician cookin⁉️
Ooh, these are so cool! This is a really neat system, and can't wait to use the hell out of these when released.
I wonder, are you able to use these to effectively spoof cyberware? Like for Judy's Doll Chip, could you have it activate a brief Berserk effect at the start of combat or something like that?
If the cyberware spoofing is possible, another idea I had was inspired by the comic Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown- a driving shard that activates the driving skills and "equips" a sandevistan and kerenzikov for driving purposes
hm, generally didn't want the chips to be replacing any existing cyberware, though, I do have some that have synergy with existing cyberware / changes how the existing cyberware works
some kind of buff at start of the combat sounds fun for Judy's chip though
that's totally fair! just wondered if that was in the scope of this project. ||If you're not completely opposed though, maybe a series of special Iconic chips that have cyberware effects. Not anywhere near as powerful as chipping that cyberware yourself, but still a bit of something special|| Another thing you might be able to do for Judy's chip is give V the ability to use Focus with throwing knives. i know i've seen that implemented with other mods, so it's possible at the very least
and if you haven't read Kickdown, i cannot recommend it enough! it's all about these software chips, and might help with lore and design
this is so damn cool, can't wait! glad you're addressing overlap w/ base game perks - you've come up with some really cool bonuses
Oo I did not see it before, now you got me interested to check it out 🤣 been trying to read most lore books thqt would have cyberware / chipware before
really really cool premise, shouldve been in the base game tho
icons done 😄
Hey my bad I wanted to ask how are these chips gonna be equipped
Do they take up a specific slot in the Cyberware page like the OS
There is one more face cyberware slot for new type of cyberware 'neuralware processor'
