Just a lil thing for the poetess Naomi shihab nye who lost someone recently and hasn't been able to come to my uni for lecture

Gust of wind rushed through my window today
Message from another place
Carrying scents from another time
Sweet reminder, bitter remembrance.

A gasp of life, one time came.
The ticks of a clock started to run to its end.

There is no word, no line nor chapter to add
But a whole story merged to mine.

Oh sweet pie I swear I won't sink into wine.
I'm sure none would agree on seeing me sad.

Coffee milk and honey i blend,
Little bee still fueling my flame.

As i type on my keyboard, your laughs in the distance
Punching keys committing a sublime crime
Delivering the last embrace
As the day fades, sun's last ray,

Shines on my last line:
"I come soon, hope your room is clean !"

You are a failure
Would you even pass the exams?!

I dont like it when you are sitting quietly in your room, in your own thoughts.

the title's a bit off but otherwise this is noice

it seems more like a person pointing himself out in the mirror telling themself to improve and get out of their old self ig

tbh it's pretty funny imo 😄 but im not sure if it was meant for that purpose
i mean it feels like someone on the path of self growth and self improvement and yes those are 2 separate things

sahil is too metaphorical and you are too literal but tbh i prefer your style coz sometimes i am dense and and too tired to get through the metaphors and would like something plain and strong thrown right up at my face
it hits different and i certainly enjoy the experience

i mean now that i read it again and again
i can understand it i think but most of the time i am smh

our actions have the power to alter the world around us - the actions/our responses may seem huge or small at times but every action has a consequence that will define whether we will be happy or filled with gloom
also the second line could also be interpreted as- there are ups and downs and they are just part of the life and sometimes we just have to roll with the punches
