hey!! thanks so much!
if you think u don't need windows then you can just use the erase all option instead of creating your own partitions
do u know how can i install it?
yeah it is a very simple process
there are vid on youtube but i know that distro just launched this year
u mean ubuntu 24.0 ?
yeah i dont really need windows, its an old laptop just trying to get it run smoothly
yesyes!
u could
but will subsystem be fine as well?
it is still a little slow but not lagging anymore
last time it took forever to open chrome and sometimes i had to force restart it
do you mean a virtual box in windows with linux installed ?
no its just a subsystem? i did exactlyy in that video
theres also a video on virtual box
virtual box are slower because only a part of the system resources are shared to it
u use it just for testing purpose mainly
if i m using ubuntu can switch it back to like windows like real time
it will be fine if you are not interested in using linux gui applications as subsystem just uses only little bit of your system resources
but if you want to development maybe run docker or some heavy applications which uses lot of ram then i would say just install linux instead
Then a subsystem is ok for now
yep it is indeed running fine but its still alittle slow
Yeah it will be
so whats the possible solution?
Just install Linux completely
