sorry bun, idk how you managed to lose a rigged survey
yes
i know this is an old mssg, but can you share how you take notes or study for accounting? specifically for problem solving and whatnot
not much to say
do practice problems
draw pictures
use T-accounts, draw timelines, draw pie charts that let you visualize proportions
alrighty, thx!
oh and also, i'm studying accounting too! (if it wasn't already obvious
)
I am build a Web application for Marketers how run ads to help them analysis of their ad creatives.
im studying a levels business and i have my a2 paper in the may june session and honestly ive started way too late january is almost about to end. im not fully familiar with the paper pattern or how to properly answer questions like 5 markers 12 markers and 20 markers. i do have notes lectures and past papers but im not sure what the best way is to approach from here
need help asap 😭
not a very intellectually ethical way and not actually a studying method but what I did for my a levels was pulling up 10 years of past papers of the paper I was going to sit and then alternate between the two other version papers also going back ten years and found the pattern in which questions showed up
first did it for my GCSEs and managed to accurately guess more than half of my exams
so it works but not particularly if you want to learn the material
i also didnt solve the questions i just read the answer key
What in the world-

hello rich ppl
Hi, I’m Ella 👋
Been learning e-commerce on the side and love meeting people building cool things.
Anyone here working on something interesting lately?
Hi guys, i’m Em 🙃
I’ve been working on a new business idea and I’m finally ready to take it seriously.
I already know the niche I want to go into, now I just need a reliable person who wants to build growth to.
If you’ve been looking for a real chance to start something that can pay off, if this sounds like you let’s connect.
Hey could you give me feedback on my howto-page? I've been building a party game for friend groups and couples but a lot of people told me that they don't understand it.
Would be cool if you could check it out and tell me whether you "get it": https://rank5.io/howTo
like, I've written this from the feedback, but it's hard to find people who like to read manuals
The animation in the logo is super choppy and laggy, hurts to look at, reccomond a static one
huh interesting... it works on my machine but now that i tried another computer it does lag yeah
this is so cool
thanks 😃
Hello, self promo is not allowed so I will have to remove this.
Is there anyone here majoring in or working in marketing? I’m currently working on a proposal for a marketing competition hosted by a Korean private insurance company (Samsungfire). But I'm finding it quite challenging, and I would love to get some advices.
The core theme of the project is "Creating a culture of gifting insurance." If anyone is willing to share some insights or advice, I would be incredibly grateful. Please feel free to send me a DM! Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello guys, I work with paid traffic management (ads) and also worked for 10 months at a startup competing with cameo. I have expertise in Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Analytics. If you want to share knowledge I'll be here

Black market is where it's at
what are the cons of not having a kidney
Of course I will be available, if you want to make a call via google meet or here by discord I will be online.
At first I recommend choosing a tool that is already interested in Google Ads or Facebook / Twitter Ads, Click and explore the tool (Ad Manager) read and pay attention to its details and click more and more. If you prefer to have the basics read the help center for each tool (it will not be easy but you will have incredible technical knowledge, it helps when talking to customers)
oh thank you very much
I am part of a community managed by a very famous traffic manager in Brazil. From what I was able to research abroad many people have already taken the course of this man https://khalidschool.teachable.com/
Khalid Hamadeh
Paid traffic is almost a philosophy of life. Everything is a test, every business has its audiences and traffic, so win if you test more and discover / explore. The good thing is that as a paid traffic manager, you can manage ads for different businesses without investing money (you practically study with others' money)
Basic concept Google is intention and Facebook is attention
really the only drawback is that if you donate 1 and the other gives out your fucked, otherwise there isnt much of a difference
Hm
You only need the one, but you really do need at least one
hello everyone!👋🏻 hope u r doing well

Should I do MSc in CSE or MBA?
Hey guys. I'm currently a student in an International School (Year 11) taking the ACT program looking to go to UNSW to get my Bachelors in Commerce. I was just wondering what your guys thoughts were on what my majors should be in order to land a job as an Investment Banker? Cause I'm only just like, making life plans now... and ya boi needs some of that easy advice, ya dig?
don't focus on money too much. pick a job that would interest you, being an investment banker is extremely competitive so are you sure you're up for it?
i've always been up for competition and a fast-paced work environment is just what works for me (i've always been shitty in slow paced spaces for either study... or really just anything to be honest). I know investment banking has a bit bad rep, but it's what I think will throw me into the deep well enough to then be able to leave after a few years and join (or a startup) a PE firm. it's all just ideas in the works of course, but with an optimistic mindset and some (or realistically a crap ton of) work beforehand, I think it would be aight.
OK, if you say so. its pretty late to choose as i believe you've decided your majors but it wouldn't be that much of an issue as to be an investment banker you can come from any any angle if your portfolio is built extremely well. however i would still recommend to try and get any econ based majors. I'm not the best person to ask so make sure to ask others.
Hello, anyone that know at least some Spanish can help me with these questionnaire, it’s for my school final project, i need 400 answers, hope you all can help me
Nice to meet you and have a nice day, keep studying!!!!
what do you mean
what makes a coin worth its price?
the belief that it holds value by people
yes but let's say why is Dollar worth less than Euro?
How do you guys remember business concepts 🥲
Use mental associations
Colours, acronyms and word associations can be especially useful tools to help you hold on to thoughts, patterns and concepts.
Disclaimer, I am not in economics:
So there are a ton of different reasons why a currency would hold its value, increase/decrease. The first things that spring to mind are:
- the stability of the country(ies) that use that currency, this stability is in economical, political and social aspect, and probably in more aspects as well
- the amount of countries/places that accept the currency
- What can you buy with the currency
- I believe it has to do with the amount of gold reserves the currency has as a balance
- How trustworthy is the currency (This has ties with the stability)
- Do people want the currency?
Again, like I said before I do not do economics or anything related but I just hope that this helps you understand what influences it in laymen terms. There are a ton of different things that influence a currency that I do not know about, some of my examples might even be wrong, I don't know (but feel free to correct me)
this helps a lot, thank you very much
The dollar is not tied to gold. People just stick to it because they have to use it and thus believe in it. You can look at money like a good, so it follows the axioms of supply & demand. Some currencies have more supply, some less.
Ya te respondi mano espero que te haya sido de utilidad
ooh this chat is for busines like a studying subject? I thought actual business is being made here xD
GOt a question for here, how do you market a hotel?
I would market it at common places where people have to transit @thick ermine
something like a hub,
Special breakfast offers, special rates when flying with certain airlines/travel companies (granted theres a special deal made with that company)
hotels are tough to market, I think most of the time its about the reviews that are being made
Thats too vauge of a question
u need ot know ur demograpic first
Do a swot analysis
Do the 5 C's

Anyone here understand the Black-Scholes model? 😅
I understand that it's all mumbo-jumbo to me hahah
anyone familiar with management accounting? my mum has her exam in that but I am cluelesss so I can't help for shit
does she pursue a specific associate degree? (i.e ACCA, ACA, CIMA) ?
because as I know, although managerial accounting, is managerial accounting. There are different syllabus in some cases that depends from the associate degree structure
ohhh thanks for replying... she got it in the end
Good, I would definitely recommend her to check out opentuition.com if she pursue one of the above qualifications. It's really useful resource, free of charge, that contains small videos made by experienced teachers on every... yes... every chapter of any book (including managerial accounting). When I find a difficulty to understand the material from book, or professor, they are the first place I go to.
oh that is phenomenal tip. thank you I'll let her know. I appreciate it

hello i have a problem with maximum likelihood. im trying to wrap my head around what this vector theta actually looks like (marked yellow). it just confuses me so much. f isnt defined and how can you define a vector as a result of a function with ITSELF as input ? isnt that recursion? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/843614499973365769/852605236505608207/image0.jpg
😦
@restive dove hello! So as far as I understood, they are not defining the vector theta, rather they are saying {wt} comes from a distribution f which is parametrized by theta
So I dont exactly know the context of this particular paragraph, but you can think of theta to be the parameter of some distribution
so for example, if you have a Gaussian distribution then theta would be sigma(standard deviation) and myu( mean) You can google gaussian if you're not familiar with it
This helped me understand the intuition: https://towardsdatascience.com/probability-concepts-explained-maximum-likelihood-estimation-c7b4342fdbb1
this article was really helpful
thanks
You're welcome 🙂
does by any chance anyone here knows how to calculate de Gini coef. with integrals ?
Can anybody around here recommend a good textbook for learning econometrics? I study computer science but have a hard time wrapping my head around business math
Yes me
Can anyone here suggest a buisness related book like rich dad poor dad?
bruh rich dad poor dad is one of these books which are so abstract and unspecific it can literally be summed up with "dont waste money"
"getting past no" is similar although not as unhelpful
One of the better Business books to read is Start With Why by Simon Sinek
It's one of those books anyone in business should have read at least once
@indigo verge brother do you have it's pdf?
Lemme check
One sec
Ok waiting
Guys do you know any good books for business?
@indigo verge rich dad poor dad
I have it already do u know any others?
@indigo verge have u read it full?
Start With Why
think and grow rich
Your Money or Your Life, I Will Teach You to be Rich, The Richest Man in Babylon, Unscripted, and Simple Path to Wealth are some good books comparable to Rich Dad, most are even better imo
@white rock thank you so much dear
does anyone has an example of SWOT planing??
Can you elaborate?
I don't fully understand the question
It's a tool to help you plan, it's not a plan by itself
Are here people that really study/make investments? (not "rich dad, poor dad" crap)
like someone actually using it, not just the theory of it
Investments as in stocks, or businesses?
I'm sure there's plenty of examples out there
hey, who can give me some money
Is millions enough
Hey who can give me 1trillion?
I am studying in this theme
is there a difference between joint log likelihood and concentrated log likelihood?
is there books for accounting you would recommend to a grade 11?

Ye
Can someone help me invest in webull im new to it and I don’t know what stocks to buy, my budget is $10
Hiya! What is your goal with investing?
Building private income, I don’t want to work a 9-5 job
How much do you know about investing in general?
10$ will become 50$ in 3 years ,
If you are damn lucky
If you want financial independence, there's two ways of doing it:
- Take risks and hope you multiply your money in a short amount of time. But this way it's easy to lose money, so it's best to be done with money you don't mind losing.
- You invest safely in ETF's to build sustainable wealth over the long term. This is the safer option and pretty much ha guarantee because you use compounded interest. It takes a lot longer, but it will make sure you have a great pension
If you're not comfortable losing the money you invest, don't invest in single stocks
In general, a maximum of about 30% of hedgefund managers are able to beat the market and these are people that have studied to be able to beat the market.
The chances of you as a layman investing in "the new Tesla or Apple" are very slim
I am a big fan of playing it safe and building wealth over the years, and the richest people in the world agree... one of those people is Warren Buffet
If you have money, invest in real estate
But tbh, 10 dollers is not a lot and if that's all you can spare... don't take risks.
Invest smart and grow that 10 dollars
so... those ads on youtube of investing on amazon or google or apple or tesla...are fake right?
They make the truth seem better than it is... Most people lose money investing in single stocks
That sounds pretty good ngl
I am watching Everything about entrepreneurship, a course where you can learn everything about business. I am making notes of it and if you want I can share it here for free so that you can learn from it?
So would you like to have them?
I'd like to see those!
Most people don't even make huge financial gains even with a diverse portfolio
Just means the losses are less painful and the gains are less big
Yeah. No such thing as a quick buck with stocks, even though youtube and other platforms might make it seem that way
Historically ETF's have always had positive return
Exactly
And investing in single stocks is basically gambling, so never do it with money you're not ok with losing
People hear all these succes stories and think they can do it as well, but reality is that most people aren't that special. So it's often best to play it safe and focus on long term success
And everyone who wants to join the telegram channel where I share notes about a business course where you can learn everything about businesses for free, here is the link t.me/EAEnotes
no advertising.
because of Covid, the price for Euro skyrocketed. Does that mean that it will get cheaper from now on?
since travelling will be a norm again, wouldn't it be normal for the price to increase?
what do you think frens
shut up and buy dogecoin
not a good investment anymore. it just blew up for a bit because of elon. now its dead again. the problem is it doesnt have any practical use .
I think you should read more about this. Just because the price is going up or down doesn't mean it will go the other way
You can make educated guesses based on knowledge you've gained from reading up on the subject, but it will always be a gamble
Currency is a very difficult beast to predict imo
can you help[ me with that too? what sites/sources can I read about it? Thanks in advance
understandable
I will search more, thanks a lot
Look into ETF's as well!
I think same good ETF best variants for beginners
hello, does anyone know the difference, or more so the pros and cons, of a business and marketing degree/major
I'm trying to figure out what to major in and I was wondering how different (or similar) these degrees are, in college and when looking for a job after graduation
My advice would be to 1. look into the courses for each major and see which seem more useful for you. 2. look into job postings for your 'ideal future job'; what kind of majors and skills are they looking for?
To me it seems that business is a more general major, which may be useful if you decide you want to be open to jobs that aren't specific to marketing. If you really want to do marketing, the marketing major may open more opportunities to work on marketing-related projects. But it depends on how the majors are designed at your school.
Regardless which one you choose, make sure you take one or two "core" technical business classes. For my school, these were financial accounting, managerial accounting, and economics. Imo lots of business/marketing skills can be learned on the job, with the exception of the technical material taught in these core classes.
wow tysmm, I'm just starting the college app process :') so I still have ways to go on college/major research and this def helped
Nice - also, I'm sure the upperclassmen will be able to provide much more detailed information about the majors at your school and whether they like it. If you get the opportunity to talk to a current student, definitely take it.
ooo true true, thx again!
Hi
Idk why I can’t think of reasons but how does your geographical location (specifically within a country) affect unemployment?
It can be affected by how developed your area is, the job availability of the area, the level op development of your country, infrastructure and main exports
And whole lot of other reasons
help pls
Perhaps increase in sale volumes and increased relationship/goodwill between buyer and supplier
Can anyone tell a good platform or website for reading business case studies?
Will also decrease the purchase cost.
https://libguides.mcmaster.ca/business-cases/free Something like this?
Finding case studies and cases for business.
@granite dust thanks buddy. 😁
No problem!

hello, does anyone has book recommendation for accounting information system?
I don't have any particular books in mind, since my own course isn't in english, but a common author for both basic and advanced studies is Kenneth W. Boyd. Also Barry Elliott and Michael Coltman.
I don't know if any of them focuses on information systems also, but i'd think they would make for a good start.
Do you have any particular information system that is used in your course?
i'll keep that in mind thank you!
No prob.. Good luck with your studies! ^^
Hello, can i know what's the difference between production overhead and manufacturing overhead ??
Anyone trade stocks like I do
yes
@white rock okay dm me
hi does anyone know how to do q3?
You want to know the economic well-being of a country. GDP only tells you the amount of money there is. GDP does not consider how much money you need (price level) or how many people need the money (population).
-
Let's say that next year, you have more money, but everything at the store is more expensive. If you only look at how much money there is, you may incorrectly infer that economic well-being has increased.
-
Let's say that next year, you have more money, but your family is bigger, so more people need the money. Again, if you only look at how much money there is, you may incorrectly infer that economic well-being has increased.
I have a question for the people in America… what’s the best place to get a bank account??🤔💳
hi everyone, is anyone here can help me do my assignment about business organisations?
i see thank you
hi @grand cloak where are you from im an accountancy student 🙂
try reading this https://www.academia.edu/33407160/Financial_and_Managerial_Accounting_Williams_Jan_SRG_ :))
Academia.edu is a platform for academics to share research papers.
Hi I'm thinking of starting a business but I don't know anything about pricing.
First, my business plan is to use a Blaupunkt pressure washer PW5200i to clean floors and cars in my city. This week I'm going to start cold-calling people by either calling them or knocking at their door. It takes me about 4 hours to clean a 200 square meter area of granite but I can clean cars in less than 2 mins. I don't know if demand is price inelastic or price elastic. Does anyone have any advice on how I should price my services? Minimum wage per hour is around 5€ here. Maybe that's a good place to start? Thank you in advance to anyone who reads this :))
Price will be elastic because if you price your service high, people wouldn't want to pay for it as it's not a necessity. If you're going to start a business, make sure your costs of direct and indirect costs are covered, plus how much you're willing to profit from it all. You'd also need to do your own market research first before anything else.
henloooo :)))
you would also have to pay for the car shampoo and other stuff. I assume you have to rent the pressure washer and then the cost of transportation , the extension cables and other stuffs price also has to be taken into consideration

u guys doing MBA?
I just graduating cum laude with marketing from RBS, but I'm really into retail market trading. Anyone else here do marketing or finance ?
What's the project about
I might consider it in a couple years after having worked a steady job. I'm currently doing an extracurricular course on fintech where I have to pitch a start-up and it's honestly kind of interesting
this is actually really cool
i might do it, pays pretty well, it can also be a boost if you already have business running
Yeah it is! So I have to present tomorrow. I'll be presenting a start-up that creates a platform where governments can purchase carbon sequestration capacity from private companies. Under the Paris agreement we want to be net-zero regarding emissions by 2030. To reach this goal we can't just decrease emissions, it won't work. The other solution is carbon capture and storage (ccs). Our idea is to create a blockchain based marketplace where ccs facilities can offer their capacity to countries that need to meet their net-zero emission targets but don't have the capacity to create such a facility themselves. Whether that is due to monetary/time constraints doesn't matter.
that is indeed awesome, good luck on your presentation
Thanks :)
I'm doing summer homework for econ next year and I'm struggling to understand what this question is even asking. It's reffering to Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations: According to Smith, how does welfare one individual contribute to the Nation’s domestic value?
Does anyone know what the question is trying to ask? I'm a bit lost. Maybe my brain is having a moment idk
I'm thinking theres some typo but I don't know where
what do you want to learn?
I want to learn on how to have a business that gives me passive income
A good place to start would be stock trading
Learn the basics, open some sort of account, and learn how to play the market, and make money while you’re at it! Lol. Of course, there is also a potential to lose money, but if you’re smart you will learn what works and what doesn’t over time
thanks a lot
I red the channel name instead of business i red it bussins

Any IB HL Business students here?
idk if you should promote things like this man
hi i wanted to know more about how stocks work r they the same as shares and if i buy a share in tesla do i still get dividends before selling the share?
If u want to receive a dividend you have to buy a stock “before” and not “on” the Ex-dividend date. And if u sell ur shares “on” the Ex- dividend or “after” you’ll still receive the dividend even if ur no longer a shareholder.
I think the word stock and share are used interchangeably by people and they’re kind of the same. But if u want to know the difference then think of it like this “Stocks are divided into shares”. Well that’s what I think soo maybe there is a better definition somewhere.
@lament plover help me
hey im a chronic procrastinator and i need to get 25/25 in my upcoming exam in Business Studies. Any tips for this poor soul. I have nothing to lose, hence I'm asking y'all

Heyy Hello everybody☺ ,
are there and business owner?
yo anyone know what proceeds from long term borrowing means in a cash flow context (accouting) is this just the cash that you receive?
If you're referring to a cash flow statement, it might be cash flow from investing/financing
Thanks yeah did some more research and it is money made using the money borrowed eg if you invested the loan and made income
100% I’m doing consolidated cash flows now I absolutely hate them haha
Yo is there anyone in here that’s in college majoring in Econ? Thinking of majoring that in college and just wanna talk to someone who is in the major Thanks!
guys im studying year 1 maroeconomics so i just wanna ask, is the reason that we're constantly printing us bills because inflation is constantly happening?
its more complex than that often part of a process of quantitative easing if you know what that is
Quantitative easing—QE for short—is a monetary policy strategy used by central banks like the Federal Reserve. With QE, a central bank purchases securities in an attempt to reduce interest rates, increase the supply of money and drive more lending to consumers and businesses. All of this aims to sti
I'll look into it, thanks a ton
Not really. Super low interest rates over the last 10 years since the GFC (plus the US Fed is still selling assets it bought during the last recession) put the Fed in a position where it couldn't really lower interest rates, so quantitative easing was their only feasible option. QE basically means the government is buying corporate bonds, only this time they didn't just buy AAA corporate bonds, they bought a whole lot of less ideal corporate bonds because they had to, they couldn't run the risk of businesses failing one after the other. This has left us in the position where 25% of US currency has been printed since Q1 of 2020. However, it didn't have a super big impact until because the businesses can't spend all that money at once, but now that the economy is well and truly open up again, businesses are free to invest and hire more. This drove up prices for both goods and services once vaccines started rolling out, thus the big spike in CPI numbers last quarter.
So now the Fed is facing another problem, inflation that they've created. They can either a) increase interest rates, b) cut back on QE programs, or c) start selling more treasury bills. b and c are quite obvious first steps, but it won't be anywhere near enough, especially if, as expected, inflation next quarter is just high. So the Fed is going to have to raise interest rates, and sometime soon by the looks of things. Raising interest rates will affect everybody who has taken a loan recently, notably mortgage payments will rise. It won't be by much, but it'll spook real-estate investors enough that much of the value that real-estate has gained in the last few years will disappear - to combat inflation the Fed is going to have to kneecap the housing market. Again.
TL;DR - poor forward planning by the Fed lead to very cheap money, which has put us in this position. The solution will be painful in the short term, but don't expect hyperinflation anytime soon.
I don't think printing of more currency is helping anyone. Printing of money will increase the supply of money while reducing the value of money. Earlier if a bottle costed $10 then now gradually it will increase for example $10.1, $10.2, $10.3,... Etc etc untill it increases a lot.
Printing money isn't necessarily a bad thing, and if you subscribe to quantity theory (which should be covered in any decent first year macro course), it's not quite as simple as printers go brrrr causes inflation.
You'll learn to see the system more as Money * Velocity = Price * Output. Printing more money makes sense if velocity, how many times one unit is used in some time period (essentially measure of how many transactions a note or coin will be involved in any given year), has decreased. Covid lockdowns meant people were out of work, earning and spending less, and saving more. All this decreased money velocity, so the fed acted by increasing the supply of money to balance the equation.
Now if velocity was stable, and the government started printing money (see Zimbabwe, Venezuela, and Germany), then we would see large levels of inflation. All these examples were governments in debt printing money to pay for that debt, instead of taking the L and coughing up.
That's not what we saw in 2020 - the money printers were turned on because the money printers had to be turned on. Only start to worry if the printers are still turned on high speed 12-18 months from now.

Can anyone explain me the meaning of formal contracts and simple contracts?
A simple contract is one that hasn’t been legally recorded or sealed so it could be written or verbal.
While a formal contract is one that has been legally recorded and written.
Okay thank you. Btw can you explain to me how can formal contracts be valid even if they lack consideration?
What I know is that if the element of consideration isn’t there then there is no contract
The four elements of a contract must be present for a contract to form
Here, it is written that "validity of formal contracts depend upon their form. They are valid even if they lack consideration. They are of two types:
- contract under seal
- contract of records
Contract under seal are in writing and signed by the parties to them.
Contract of records includes the court judgements and recognisance, obligations in such cases arise out of judgement and not under the contract."
This is the part I am getting confused at.
Monica = 150000, Assumpta = 250000, Christina = 100000... This is the amount credited to Scholastica by all the other partners on her admission. Entry for the same will be - Monica a/c debit, Assumpta a/c debit, Christina a/c debit To Scholastica a/c

Hi is it alright if someone can help me with Q1 part e? I’ve been stuck on this question for ages. Ping if you do and thanks in advance!!
heyy, first you can write the defination about flow production, then write about the advantages and disadvantages of it, while linking it to the case study
The question's asking if using the flow production method is more efficient and cost-effective than using the batch production method. In this case, I'd say Carlos should not adopt the flow production method (also known as continuous production) as that'll create more wastage considering he's only selling his goods to local shops. This also insinuates the demand for these loaves and cakes are low and are consumed locally. You can then elaborate your answer further by making a comparison between the two production methods (i.e. assuming it's a local, one-off bakery; a batch production allows Carlos to assess how much stock/ supplies he needs to make his productions in-house...etc.)
Thank you so much!!

wat is da purpose of cash flows? and why most of da companies are using it?
why is statement of cash flows very useful for the company?
cash flow statement serves as a statement to know where the cash is being utilized by the company, the cash flow is not only useful to company but also to other stakeholders such as shareholders, investors, creditors etc. The cash is utilized for various purposes ranging from operating to investing to financing. Cash Flow ascertain how much the company has used in what activity. it is not compulsory for all companies to make cash flows. companies that are required to prepare cash flows have to follow Section 129 of Indian Companies Act,2013 (whatever corresponding law your country has on Financial Statements). Thus it is compulsory for certain companies to make Cash Flows.
Cash Flow Statement helps management to ascertain where cash is being used up. which in turn helps to manage its flow and control the excess flow if any. For example the cash balance shows negative balance since 3 financial years and the company is investing its cash only in Fixed Assets then after seeing the cash flow statement the company will curb its investing activities and redirect any excess to operating or Financing. Redirecting in Financing can also help company clear its financial liabilities. and redirecting excess to operating can help company expand its operating efficiency (main business).
thanks buddy
How single discount rate affects WACC?
Do we deduct cash discount first or trade discount?
We first deduct trade discount and then we deduct cash discount from any item. We do this because the buyer may or may not be sure to purchase the item on cash basis at first. Another possible reason is that the seller wants the buyer to think that he is giving two discounts to the customer.

hi! can someone explain what up economy is? thank you.
The question you asked is very open ended, the definition of economics extends to a lot. With the change of era and expansion of world economy the meaning and the significance of economics has also changed. During 1900 the definition was way different than what it is today. So please ask a specific question, like you want to understand what microeconomics is or what macroeconomics is etc etc.
what is managements primary goal? what do investors expect to receive when they buy a share of stock?
management's primary goal is to attains targets/goals/plans effectively and efficiently . Investors holding shares expect to earn profit on those shares that he has purchase. this is a general scenario. some investor may invest to earn dividend or just to be the owners of that company. Investors hold shares till company earn large profits and its price increases, when this happens the investor sells those shares and earn huge profits.
Thankyouverymuch as always @elder tendon
i'm confused if do investors know for sure how much they will receive?
No investors cant be sure as to how much they will make profit as the market price fluctuates and depends on the profitablity. Although a investor can speculate as to much he can make, for eg if he thinks that company is going to make profit of around xyz number then maybe the price of his share will increse thus he can make a profit of abc number by selling his holdings
if i am free i can answer and so i do it
Income statement is a snapshot of firms performance
I don't know about the first part though 😅 i am very poor with cash flow statements...i am getting answer of 7million$ 😂😂
why income statement? my answer is balance sheet😅
disregard the first question hehe
because see performance in business is ascertained by profits you earn in a year. since the income statements show all the expenses and revenues and helps to ascertain profit it plays a pivotal role in the performance. balance sheet on the other hand only states the current status of all of our liabilities and assets
its the feature/characteristics of income statements to show performance while balance sheet to show financial position of the company
oh i see, income statement is more vital than balance sheet, wow thankyou though
Yes balance sheet is just for comparison, what income statement is to the stakeholders can never be to balance sheet 😂😂😂😂
so stupid of me lol🤣

could it be due to restructuring of the company?
sry im not a biz student but probably not throughout the country
as a country grows economically, it's citizens will move from primary to secondary and from secondary to tertiary sectors
due to being richer they can start importing goods and services created by the primary & secondary sectors
so those sectors will decrease

what is the shape of a unitary elastic supply curve? does it slope downwards from left to right?
Yes, all supply curve slope downward
A company is experiencing sluggish growth despite cutting major back end cost savings.
What strategies can we suggest as a consultant, to increase annual growth and profitability?
Growth is less reactive to cost savings and cuttings because it could be due to the so called growth slump. I major factor in growth and profitability is to reinvest profits and to cut down interest rates. Another alternative could be to use equity leverage. That is raising debt capital in equivalence with share capital. Reinvestment in the same business can take a long time but it does have its own set of benefits
Reduction in costs increaes profitability at the current level of selling price. But if this also isnt helping then the company needs to have an internal audit of its activities to find loopholes in their system.
@elder tendon thankyou
I hope u understood

U have to answer the effect of these entries
i guess either u have to write the effects in para form or give journal entries
i am not totally sure as to what u have to do, once u get the clarity on that i can get u how to do that
I think you need to write down the credit, and debit in each transaction. However, you also need to do a balancing between debit and credit.
thats passing journal entry
Or you can ask me in private chat. Because I studied when I was a first year. Lemme open the book first hhhhh
@supple vortex did you get your answer ??
Yes. I did. Thankyou
Thankyou guys. Just opened discord. And we have the same thought. I thought I'm wrong about it but it turns out we have the same thinking about the problem😊
I did the journal entries
okay...glad that u were able to solve it on your own
Yesyes. 🤍
Is this answer to the question correct? "I would say I would agree partially. Because quantification of intangible assets accurately is not possible. Only the perceptional value of intangible assets can be marked at the time of acquisition. in case of Nvidia, the ratio shows that book value is inflated and the market value of the company is much lower. But the market value of the company doesn't include intangible assets of the company, which will increase the price much higher at the point of acquisition."
yes you can say that as the market value often does not have the amt of intangible assests but a rough idea of all the values of intangibles do exist in the market for example, today if the market worth of apple is 900 billion then it may contain its tangible portion. The point is that adding the value of intangibles in the market value wont substantially increase your market value.
i'd say partially that your answer is correct, the reasoning is somewhat justified, according to my knowledge though i havent studied acquisition till now. i think you should remove the fact that the intangibles would bring the value to the point of acquisition.
thanks guys ❤️
But i must say that aquisition has no relation with book value
like u need to check the book value and all but once you acquire the company's major stakeholding you have already aquired the company
https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/knowledge/valuation/market-to-book-ratio-price-book/
You can have a better understanding of market to book ratio from this article

Hi I need help for this
by using the formula of effective interest rate i.e, [(1+i/k)^kn - 1] the effective interest rate in your question is coming at 0.22099659336 or ~0.221
if u want to know the formulae then tell, i can explain that also
sure, that would help alot
how about the quoted effective interest rates?
i dont know what quoted eir is 😅😅
if u could spread some light on what it is maybe then i can help
i think it's nominal interest rate
ohhkay
Here in your question the nominal Rate of Interest is 4% while effective is 4.074% calculated by the formula mentioned earlier
this rate is for a single year
for a period of 5 years the nominal Rate of Interest is 20% and effective rate is ~22.1%
the crux of the above is just that nominal rate does not show the impact of compounding every month in its rate while effective rate show how much effectively you are earning in a year
oh haha thought it seemed like reddit where i could tip you for helping me :D
u mean that tip...No.. no . dont take that i help because i can not for any consideration in return 🙏🙏
btw can this formula be used to find the nominal rate of interest?
ahh appreciate this man
i dont know exactly if u can use this because as per my knowledge nominal is just plain percent interest which in your case is 4%
🙏🙏
done 👍👍
Thank you so much
how does managerial accounting work? and whats the main focus and basic principles of managerial accounting?
Maybe this could help
Thankyousomuch
anyone a business IT expert?
Guys
What is Profit Planning and Wealth Maximization?
need help
Wealth maximization is the objective of management, it states that the wealth of the shareholders be maximised. Wealth as in the amount they have invested in the company. This leads to a obligation on management to not invest or take decisions that could hamper future growth.
Yeaahh go ahead ask
I don't know about profit planning. But as name suggest maybe it's certainly related to planning profits for the management to work upon. This is mostly done by the top level managers and through delegation and decentralisation the target is distributed throughout organization through various budgets, that they have to adhere
what is the main goal of financial management? and what are the elements of financial accounting? i'm somewhat confuse.
are the elements of financial accounting are liabilities, assets, income, etc?
Profit maximisation and wealth maximisation are goals of financial management. Their are other goals too but these are considered the main as others align with the goals of management as a whole.
As far as Financial Accounting is concerned the elements are - Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Revenues and Expenses.
i thought its assets liabilities equity expense and income, my bad. thankyou for correcting me.
does equity almost synonymoud with ownership? and equity is made up of assets minus liabilities and it represents the net assets of a business?
synonymous*
Income and revenue are kind of same thing ... revenue is just the technical word
Equity is actually [Total Assets - ( Non current liabilities + Current Liabilities )]
Equity is synonymous to ownership, but in accounting it is how much the equity/shareholders have invested in our business. Since company is a separate legal entity, any amount invested in it by anyone else apart from the company itself is a liability. HERE LIABILITY IS THE LIABILITY ONE. NOT THE ELEMENT ONE
This equity is shown on the Liabilities side of the balance sheet
And equity has ( equity share capital and preference share capital )
It makes sense now. Thankyou for helping me. It's a big help. And thankyou for correcting me. I really appreciate it.
🙏🙏

Hi guys. Does anybody know how does it make any difference if the comp adopt cost model or revaluation model to value the asset? How does this affect them?
also what does it mean by " The transfer of surplus on revaluation will only be made in full upon disposal."
Their are 3 key element in the statement "surplus on revaluation", "transfer made in full", and "disposal". "surplus on revaluation" is the surplus that you find in the question or through calculation. "transfer made in full" means that all the surplus that you are getting need to be transferred in full amount on "disposal". "disposal " is when you sell the asset or throw away the asset, basically removing it from the balance sheet. Therefore, the revaluation surplus that you obtain needs to be transferred in full upon disposal of the asset. Now the question is where it needs to be transferred, that is what you will obtain from your textbook/pdf/ppt.
ohh okay 🙏🙏
i dont know what these models are but as far as i think maybe u are talking about cost and market value model. if so then the market value model is a blunder and violates the Historical Principle of Accounting. This model will require u to revalue every assets of the company to the market value which is a godly task as practically every company holds a number of asset which makes it impossible to revalue every year. while the cost model requires u to record asset on cost and when required for disposal we can revalue it to ease the task.
Historical cost is the very principle that enables recording of depreciation, otherwise recording at market value may or may not include depreciation, for example the market value of say a Car at it launch was 10k and u purchased it at the launch, now due to demand and supply the prices have risen, if that happens we cannot calculate depreciation, thus cost model, as i have understood, is important and essential for a company
Noted on this. Thank you so much mate for making it super clear.
Hmm I'm not familiar either with the terms u used. But to be sure, I'll check back later.. again thank you for your time. g'day!
Yeaahh even i am not clear if your doubt is solved
😅😅
Welcome, it's great that u understood everything 🙏👍
later I'll check w my lecturer, and I'll let you know if u want to(?) haha
Yaa do let me know in dm
how does managerial accounting work?
the idea is to keep a running record of assets, liabilities and equites -> based on the principle of Assets = Liabilities + Equity
They should always be equal so any chnages on one side of the equation should have a proportionate affect on the other side

Ayy does anyone know provident funds entry in final acc
Provident fund has 2 treatments...as in employee's contribution has a different account and employer's contribution has a different account
If only provident account is given and there is no mention of anything like employees contri or employer's contri then treat that amount of provident fund as a liability under current liability. As it is to be paid to the govt.
i really dont know what to put in the principles of managerial accounting, im confused which is right

If Wal-Mart issues its credit card at an annual percentage rate of 18% and the balance for one month is $565, calculate intererst for one month.
is it $8.475?
do you still want the answer
because the combat or test may be over by now 😅😅
Now let's understand this. We'll firstly begin with how much call money is kn arrear. That in this question is 3300. This share is fully called by the company hence on on the final call the company may have passed the entry for call due. Which is
Equity share first and final call a/c ----dr
To Equity share capital a/c
Calls in arrears toh baad mein hua hai. So we now they are telling to forfeit the shares. Entry for which is given. It's a basic rules in most cases that the amount we have received from the forfeited shares is mostly transferred to share forfeiture account. Now the company has reissued all the shares at ₹8500. Which means that we have issued those shares at discount. This discount is paid from share forfeiture account always on reissue. Now by simply observing the balance remaining in share forfeiture account we can know the amount to be transferred to capital reserve.
Thank You very much
i did everything thing but for that discount on reissue part that's why lol
thanks tho
yeah i guess you understood

How to get rich fast ?
Think
I would go to the toilet and take a nap
hi all, high school economics question: what is the simple formula for aggregate supply?? I only remember aggregate demand (AD = C + I + G +X -M) and google is giving me various answers that look way too complicated
AD = C + I + G + ( X - M )
Well aggregate supply is equal to savings plus consumption AS= C+S
That's the simple formula and then you can complicate it much as required
If being rich was as easy as asking this simple question then each of us would have been a billionaire. One thing that i have noticed about a ultra rich person is that they are superbly intelligent. They not only possess great skills in their field but also have a great marketing and human management skill. Take for example jeff bezos he is intelligent plus he can also successfully mobilize a team of highly skilled engineers that are way way more intelligent than him. All in all a person becomes rich when he becomes a successful leader. Apart from this a lot of individuals become rich these days by investing in crypto or in any asset that can earn them millions. This requires a great speculative power and a great level of intelligence. Therefore you need to develop that skill to how to become a rich person. Read books on how rich people think and maybe their you can find your answers.
thanks man, appreciate it

Hi guys I really need help with my accounting work, i’m from canada so if you can help, please dm me! Thank you so much!!
So basically i need help with some transactions
i need help with this folks
You are the customer service manager for a small software manufacturer. The newest addition to your 10-person team is Aubrey, a recent college graduate. She is a little overwhelmed by the volume of calls, but is learning quickly and doing her best to keep up. Today, as you performed your monthly review of employee e-mail, you were surprised to see that Aubrey is corresponding with employment agencies. One message says, “Aubrey, I’m sorry you don’t like your new job. We have lots of opportunities that I think would much better match your interests. Please call me and let’s talk further.” You’re shocked and alarmed. You had no idea she was unhappy, and your team desperately needs her help to handle the onslaught of calls generated by the newest release of software. If you’re going to lose her, you’ll need to find a replacement quickly. You know that Aubrey did not intend for you to see the e-mail, but you can’t ignore what you saw. Should you confront Aubrey and demand to know her intentions? Should you avoid any confrontation and simply begin seeking her replacement? Could you be misinterpreting the e-mail? What should you do?
help
I'd confront her and ask her what problems she is facing here. I'd convince her through offering monetary or non monetary perks whatever that would help her reconsider her situation. I'll definitely seek her forgiveness for checking her mails without permission, but I'd also mention the fact that i have not read any other mails.
Thank you
Thanks bro😘
You are the human resources contact for your firm’s IT organization.
The daughter of the firm’s CIO is scheduled to participate in a job
interview for an entry-level position in the IT organization next week.
It will be your responsibility to meet with the three people who will
interview her to form an assessment and make a group decision
about whether or not she will be offered the position and, if so, at
what salary. How do you handle this situation?
can anyone help me with this?
Ask her purpose when participate in a job interview. If her purpose satify competitive advantage of the firm, you can move to the next step as we known is her professional skills interviewing
When both of conditions can be satisfied, now you will make a deal with her. Their are 2 options:
- Make a milestones and let her decide how many percentile she want to have until both of side agree with it
- You will decide by yourself
I would recommend the oprion 1 because it more fairness than option 2 and the daughter of the firm’s CIO cant arguement with you anymore (she make her choice and she has to take responsibility about it)
Thank you!!!
It seems like the companies fault for giving her those expectations. It's a communication problem, you're basically penalizing her good work. 1. You should talk with the committee and reevaluate her pay grade (Tell her that). 2. Set incentives for each project e.g. 2% or 1000$ idk for every project she finishes. 3. Give her more holidays? To slowly ween your other employees of and compensate her for her lesser pay. By the way, you should look for a new employee to replace her.

budget by $100,000 (USD). You have been focusing on two options.
The first is to not purchase all the software licenses needed and
instead make illegal copies of existing software. (The software piracy
rate in Armenia is 93%.) The second is to terminate the employment
of two IT employees. You have identified who would be terminated
based on their recent job performance and their relatively low level of
anticipated future work activity. What would you do?
My answer is ⚡⚡
my answer is
although piracy is not good, but i guess it would be better to use pirated copies along with original ones rather than terminating two employees because employees would be more badly affected on losing job in environment of financial crisis whereas loss to software company would be bit less as you would be still buying some original copies.
ANY OTHER OPINION? ⚡⚡
do we have to choose from the above mentioned options only ??
i'd choose the second option. Either way the fact that the plant is experiencing hardship due to global crisis remains same. Therefore if by eliminating 2 employees the current level of profits can be achieve while purchasing new softwares then the option is feasible. once everything becomes normal we can house more employees. Illegally purchasing softwares can hamper my reputation as a fortune 1000 company.
You can use open-source instead of license source to reduce the cost. But eventually your product will be low-quality before world financial crises
Excommunicate employees will be a tough strategy especially at Software Outsourcing firm. I've learnt about Human Aspect In Software Engineering and the condition of successful software is employees attitude not the tools
Thank you everyone

After completing her Bachelors in Fashion Designing from a well-known college in France, Aditi has
opened a boutique in a posh market in Kolkata. She has divided the work in smaller units and each
employee is well trained to perform his/her task efficiently. The sales persons are allowed to close a deal
with a buyer by giving a maximum of 5 percent discount, whereas the decision to give any further
discount rests with Aditi as the final authority.
"The sales persons are allowed to close a deal with a buyer by giving a maximum of 5 percent discount,
whereas the decision to give any further discount rests with Aditi as the final authority." Identify the
principle of Management being followed here:
(a) Centralization and Decentralisation
(b) Authority and Responsibility
(c) Unity of Command
(d) Unity of Direction
help pls
It's centralization and decentralisation
why not authority and responsibility ?
Authority and responsibility is when a subordinate is given a authority with responsibility. The principle states that when this authority is given it should be given with the right amount of responsibility.
While Centralization and Decentralisation states that certain decision be taken by the subordinate but bigger decision be centralized in the hands of the superior. Just like in this case, where sales persons have power to give 5% discount but in the end any discount more than 5% lies in the hands of aditi i.e. the superior. Here responsibility is not given rather a authority is given to take decisions upto a certain point.
okay i got it thank you for explaining
You're welcome
Can someone help me with these problems pls?

You have 15 years of experience in sales and marketing
with three different organizations. You currently hold a
middle management position and have been approached
by a headhunter to make a move to a company seeking a
chief privacy officer. The headhunter claims the position
would represent a good move for you in your career path
leading to an eventual vice president of marketing position.
You are not sure about the exact responsibilities of the
CPO position or what authority the person in this position
would have at this particular company. How would you go
about evaluating this opportunity to determine if it actually
is a good career move or a dead end?

Heyy guys,
I am planning to start a small clothing line as a business (since I am very much interested in fashion) and planning to start it off as a IG page …can anybody tell me how much should be the capital roughly?
The opinions are mixed for me. Keeping myself in the position, I'd say I'll take, because i can adapt to the situation/job and if i am not able then I'll go to my superiors. But with a generalized sense, the person should not take up something that he has no knowledge of, because that could fail severely. Taking up something that's not one's domain is good as well as bad, it's up the person how well he can manage in a different environment with a different rules and different powers.
That's a very generalized question, you need to think for many aspects of the business that you are starting. I'll tell them in personal but one thing is for sure the investment will be huge, if you are going with multiple products.
Thankyou
👍👍👍👍
Hey guys my bosses asked me to make a little research about NFTs that might do well in the future and since I'm still learning about it I was looking for someone who can give me some lights.
I need to be able to list several NFT's that are on sale on opensea.io preferably in ETH, that cost (highest bid less than) $400 and whose artist has a potential for growth. I also need to list 2-3 reasons why you think it's a good investment/purchase and that artist or art piece might increase in popularity in the next years.
Tbh I don't even know where to start but I need to make a good impression since I'm new on the team, can someone help me?? I really want to work on the NFT world and this would give me a big opportunity to work with them!

Don’t worry about it, we got enough participants!
Ok great for you !
how to do this question, it would mean alot if you could help
Yo Mohammed, I will try to explain you (I'm a french student so don't be rude with my English hahaha). A normal good means if your incomes increase, the consumption of this good will increase too. In the other hand, a inferior good means if your incomes increase, the consumption of this good will decrease. In this case, we can see four indifference curves and a pitch point between BL1 and IC2. If you increase your incomes, you're going to have a higher budget line. You can easily see that with a higher budget line, your consumption will increase and that for both goods (X and Y). So, you deduce that X and Y are two normal goods. I hope my explanation will be understandable. PS: note that the IC are strictly convex and it doesn't crossed between them.
Merci beaucoup 🥰

Hey guys
Can someone help me to solve a problem in macroeconomics
It’s about the consumption function
And i need to draw a graphic
And to analyse it
Try sending the question if someone know they'll send you the answer
yo guys
can someone help me with this problem in microeconomics?
it's a hypothetical question, where I need to analyse the situation and give an explanation
If the airline company is the only one to operate in the town then yes, it is a monopoly but I'm not sure of what "other services" means in the question. But if there's more than 1 player in the market then it's called "perfect competition"
i think "other services" refers to other transportation services like bus, tram, transit,... or even other airlines outside of the region. i put down the monopoly on the paper as a geographic one, and in a perfect competitive market, there will be little competition from other services.
Let's assume that the airline company is owned and controlled by the government and the other services like trains and busses are owned by private corporations. So there would be a similarity in the type of service offered by these private institutions. Hence, the services are homogeneous and there are plenty of competitors in the market leading to a perfect competition.
It could fall under the categorization of Oligopoly, then you'd have either a Bertrand or Cournot competition, in the Bertrand case it ends up with one firm undercutting the other one, and if it also charge the monopoly price then it's a monopoly, or if the firms are the same than it is in fact a case of perfect competition
If you take the city of Bologna (i'm there :P) in Italy you can see that we only have one airport present, it is a monopoly; but to be more specific it's a natural monopoly, meaning that due to the constrictions of space it would not be profitable for any other entity private or public to build another airport near the city.
Natural monopolies occur in markets where the entry barrier to enter (ie fixed and sunk costs) is too high, in this case since the city is relatively small and low in population it creates a condition for monopoly
Ummm , idk if this 1 goes here , if some1 is doing trading for some time could u Dm me

does anyone have any idea why the cash value in the machinery account is 50000 000
shouldn't it be the original price the asset was purchased by?
its on depreciation of fixed assets
- The cash value in the machinery account is 50000 because 10 units @ K5000 ??
- On 01/01/2008 two motor car were sold.. [10 - 2 = remain 8 units and you got profit (5600-(5000- (1000*2)))*2 = K2600 ]
I guess. haha
But wait it doesn't say anywhere in the question that there 10 units, does it? I don't see it
"motor cars" is not one unit. right? haha
We knew a cost is K5000 and amount in transaction is K50000
If we want to know the units of motor cars, we will 50000/5000 = 10 units
The question doesn't tell us directly.
Ooh wth that's such much work when you already have to open three separate documents
Why do they do this to us T.T
[10 - 2 = remain 8 units and you got total profit [5600 - (5000 - (((5000- 1) * 20%) * 2))] * 2 = K5199.2 ]
*scrap value = 1
Not sure. haha

thanks so much!
Can anyone explain to me in monkey what sticky wages are? lmaoo
congrats!!!
Sure mate! We are seeing sticky wages right now in the real world! Sticky wages is just a term used to describe how wages doesn't immediately adjust to the outside factors. For example inflation is pretty high right now, but the sticky wages does not appreciate at the same rate as the inflation - it's a slow process. Does that make sense?
Congrats! In the case that you actually find economics and business interesting (as i assume), you should definitely try to find like-minded students to hang out with. When They have asked u the total manufacturing overhead you have to multiply the per unit with the units manufactured. And in the second part they have asked you to convert this total overhead into per unit and u can do that by dividing it with 8000 i.e. The units produced
@elder tendon So it would be (var manufacturing overhead)1.40x8000= 11200+(4*10,000)40000=51200 =Total manufacturing overhead
512000/8000=6.4 =manufacturing overhead per unit

Does anyone understand the significance of organisational structure
why do businesses implement them?
See anyone can give u a google answer...though basically in short words organisational structure eliminates chaos in the organisation. You know where to report something to someone, you know where u can go to solve your grievances, you know who has the authority to give you orders. Basically any organisation without structure is like a classroom without a teacher where noone know what to do, but all know that we have to study.
Google this and you'll get a textbook answer.

Describe a whistle-blower by portraying an example of a scenario with regards to unethical action in an organization. In your opinion, how can managers protect whistle-blower?
i dont understnd what does it mean
A whistleblower is someone who tells a truth about someting (a snitch). Usually this is something where people could get med at the person for telling. Managers always want the truth from their employees - so you have to explain how the managers can help the whistle-blower in the situation where people get mad at him/her
i.e. make it easier for employees to let the managers know that something bad is going on

I found this piece of information in a caption from "climate_science". You should find the whole caption from their instagram . Maybe you can get some ideas from it. Hope it helps!
As COP26 wraps up, let's recap on what happened during week 1!
As thousands gather at COP26, key decision makers have come together to determine what role they will play in solving climate change. Important decisions have already been made, giving us more hope for the transition to a more sustainable world. For example, among the first key policy decisions, was the pledge to end deforestation by 2030 . This includes plans to conserve forests, reduce vulnerability by empowering communities, and redesign agricultural policies to incentivise sustainable agriculture [1].
..........the near future.
Thank you.
hi, i am taking a trading course in uni and we are all divided into different teams in order to trade the market for a competition. Basically the winner is the team that trades more successfully (?). Since i am a bit lost do you know by any chance, a site, like a link, or a youtube channel or anything that explains the basic of it really well so i ca be prepared??
what are you looking for exactly: a broker recommendation, trading strategies, research sources,...?
Do you have to trade with real money?
i think more like research sources where i can learn trading strategies(?)
they said we have 1 mili and we have exactly one month to trade it. At the end of the competition the group with more money wins.
By research i meant like studies/newspapers/etc so you can get your facts straight in order to make an informed trading decision (if you're in the us you can check bloomberg, wjs, cnbc). Investopedia is a good source of information on the different types of analysis (fundamental, quantitative, technical, your gut, etc) you can make when it comes to choosing your portfolio, so that would be a good place to start.
I'm curious, in what kind of platform are you supposed to do the allocation and keep track of the returns?
can i ask for help?
Feel free, that is what this channel is for 🙂
thank uu, my professor uses investopedia too and the platform is called stocktrack.com!! i’m from italy btw
Yo can anyone help me understand the terminologies and concept of market analysis....
market cap, market size, etc...
Hey
hi
anyone knows how to use SPSS? µ
Market cap for a company is basically the total market value of a company in terms of outstanding shares
The formula for market cap is Shares outstanding x Market price of shares
Market size probably refers to the total size of the market
When you say for example "The sports clothing industry is worth 2.6 Billion USD"
That means market size of the sports clothing industry is worth 2.6B USD
I found the solution, but maybe in the near future, when i don't understand some things, could I maybe contact you?
Sure just mention me in the channel and me or someone else will likely jump in and help 🙂

Do you want to learn accounting for your own reasons or for professional purpose?
Accounting you probably need a textbook as beyond balance sheet it can get pretty complicated
Are you looking for management or financial accounting?
For professional reasons, and I’m still exploring what type of accounting I wish to pursue
I just want to get a head start before I officially begin my college courses as an accounting major
do you know the basics of accounting?
Yes
For basic management accounting you could consider "Management and cost accounting" by Bhimani, Horngren, Datar and Rajan and for financial accounting "Financial accounting with international financial reporting standards" by Weygandt, Kimmel and Kieso
