Yes sure , it depends the most on myself . the only thing is , so far i always worked with paper and pen . But since i entered medical school , i cant work with the same efficiency as in High school so i thought about changing my way of taking notes and to compress all the stuff i write down on one tablet .

Not sure if this is helpful, but if you're writing a class anyways, maybe using SQLAlchemy's declarative base will be helpful (I think this is what xanderle meant by an ORM). https://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/13/orm/extensions/declarative/basic_use.html. Basically something like this:

the reason why the if statement is seen as true here is because your boolean condition is "or 'Y' "

In Python, characters can be converted to their ascii values, and in the concepts of falsy and truesy values for python, 0 is seen as false and any number that is not 0 is seen as true

therefore 'Y' is seen as an ascii value that is something NOT 0, and makes your if statement true

a window manager, manages windows. it puts the windows decorations on and lets you move them around (awesomewm/openbox)

You can initialize a variable as the starting number ( i = 10). You need to initialize one variable to keep track of the total ( total = 0) and one variable to keep track of the string you're going to print at the end (message = '').

But seems to me that this syntax ('0' || '1' ||...) will not work, java does not recognize that you are trying to compare a character with each of these characters.

You may be able to do compare equality like this:
if (input.charAt(i)=='0') || (input.charAt(i)=='1') || ....
Alternatively, I suggest checking whether your input character is within a character array.

If you are deeply interested in mechatronics then i suggest go on and do some courses on those. One i would suggest is autonomous mobile robots by eth zurich on edX. Other than that you'll find a lot of theoretical knowledge on some coursera courses.
Try learning some softwares like ROS which helps a lot in these fields. Have a combined knowledge of coding, electronics and mechanical stuff. It helps a lot in such courses. Have a deep knowledge in linear algebra. If you are solely interested in the coding part then start learning machine learning and interact on bigdata. Rest assured you'll do good on what the professors are teaching and how much efforts you out in them.
Even ill be doing my post grad in the same field soon, so i have fresh knowledge on the same. Feel free to contact me if you need any help. cheers mate 🙂

Hi for an assignment I have to make a program that calculates the sum of a range of numbers, and outputs a string with an equation with the numbers in the range. We can't use any string manipulation and if the first number is greater than the second number it should say invalid. So far I have this:

General purpose :
gets as input: amount of variables aka n, list of numbers aka a separated by spaces, list of numbers aka b separated by spaces.
goal: to calculate for each item in a aka x x to the power of corresponding item in b aka b[i] add all of them up, and then check if sum is divided by two
line breakdown

  1. waiting for an input from the user input() and converts it to an integer(int)
  2. inputs() always returns a string containing everything the user wrote until the line break(when the user presses enter) so if the user wrote for example "1 2 3 4 5 6" is a string containing numbers, but we want to operate on each number and not a string, so we split it. the split() function get a string, and returns a list of string, for example "10 20".split(" ") will return ["10", "20"]
  3. same as line two
  4. initiate h to be 0
  5. initiate i to be zero
  6. a is a list, so for x in a[:n] means: for each item in a, until the N-th item, do the following
    9)as we discussed in line two, each item in a and b is a string so we convert it to int int(x) int(b[i]) (b[i] mean the I-th item in the list b).
    next the * * just mean to the power of (3* *2 is 9)
    h+= is the same as h=h+ whatever
    10)we increment i by 1 to get the next item in b
  7. % returns the remainder of dividing the left hand operand by right hand operand

i split it up into two parts

i basically set up an event node graph

from there i used topographical sort to set up the path based on dependencies to one another

using critical path analysis i found the optimal timing to ensure all battalions were at their best potential at time of war ie no time wasted sitting around

#

i connected the ships 1-501, 2-502 to assure no time was wasted and only 2 trips were used

#

this is O(V+E) for the sort
