once you figure that out, try to see what range of ip hosts are available

and then go from there

so you can prob go from there and see which host is available (the first one is usually reserved for your default gateway)

VMs usually do not have wifi, it is an virtual LAN (Local Area Network) where your host device is the gateway

It simulates an ethernet connections (cable)

idk what libraries you're using but maybe use a for loop and loop through the columns of your dataframe. If column is less than 800, add 800 to it and then save it

And i need to calculate de difference between those comlumbs thats is easy and i know how. But sometimes the end-time is lower then the start-time(when it started befor midnight and ended after midnight). Then i have to add 24hours to the end-time and then calculate the diffrence. I also use golang in cybersec related tooling, c++ if I need to evade stuff like AV

But my recommendation would be get good at 1 language first, if you understand the general programming terms switching between languages won’t be much of a problem but a strong fundamental on 1 language is mandatory

Just in case if you still need other's opinion, obviously your project and default environment has linked to different python versions, you can change the paths or use venv. If you don't want to spend more time for this, you can simply uninstall all your python versions and re-install the one you want to have (but if your python within conda, it will be different case).

i am definitely not an expert in this but i have some minimal experience in coding

1. coding basics include variables (stuff u store data in), if-else statements, while and for loops but most of them you can just learn online with any beginner tutorial guide on youtube

2. i think you must first determine what you want to do with the skill. do you want to make a website? the best learning happens when you have a clear goal and project in mind. i suggest that you look for cool projects that you can copy and learn from. freecodecamp is a great place to start.

3. i think python is a great language to start with. most peeps say that it is easy to learn because you dont have to memorize too much conventions.

4. only if it supports/is essential to the job that you are applying for. i dont think all fields require or need coding experience. nevertheless having coding expoerience on your cv definitely shows that you have problem solving skills

5. im not exactly sure with this, but keep making projects with deeper difficulty and i am sure you will grow

6. freecodecamp, Harvard CS50, and i think your recommended will bring the rest hehe

7. i think coding is possible for any laptop, just check the documentation when building stuff

Yeah, learning programming language will make your CV better, but your math and logic thinking, problem solving skill will be the best choice. I've seen alot ppl applied their cv with 2-5 years experienced at JS, Python, Java, etc or frameworks like React, Angular, Django,etc but very less ppl will apply their problem solving skill into their cv. You'll see your lecturer taught you how to convert OOP knowledge into assignments but when customers asking you to convert their problem into real OOP knowledge, you might have a very very bad nightmare during the project
So conclusion, Logic thinking and problem solving make you cv perfect than ever. Anything else beside technical skills, i won't tell you rn either you can learn it during exposure to the working environment

Can anyone help me? I am fetching data from an API and need a clever way of connecting data. I am looking up NFL teams from their matchups. I want to be able to fetch a team's name from one link to another.

Under "items" are all links to each team. The issue is that these looked to be sorted in alphabetical order at first, but they are not.

If you follow ["leagues"]["events"]["competitors"] you will see ["id"].

I assumed that this "id" would map to each team in alphabetical order (Arizona Cardinals: id = 0, Atlanta Falcons: id = 1) and so on but unfortunately it does not. Maybe someone can recognize a pattern on how they are organized?

For example, the Baltimore Ravens ID is 33, but there are 32 teams in the NFL so my index went out of range. The odd part is that it works for some matchups but that must be luck since they are not sorted correctly.

**Since it is not, how can I match the team matchups (link a) with their respective links in (link b)? **

Yes that is a workaround, but I want to get the ref link so I can access that team's stats by its ID. The issue is that the ID #s go in acending order from 1-34, but they skip 31 and 32. This was my issue, I didnt see this. it goes 29,30,33,34 for some odd reason. I put in a if/else block as a bandaid but I need to come up with a more optimal solution now

The reserved registers are used to index the stack:
ebp (also known as the base pointer. contains the address of the base of the current stack frame)
esp (stack pointer), which contains the element of the current stack frame (top element of the stack frame)
eip (instruction pointer, always contains the address of the instruction that is currently being executed)
The Stack is a data structure comprised of elements, that is managed by operations. These operations include:
Push (Adds a stack to the top)
Pop (Removes a stack from the top)
Mov (Given two arguments, copies arg2 into the location referred to by the first arg)
add (adds the value of the two arguments, and stores the result in the first argument)
sub (Second arg is subtracted from the first)

Just ask them they should be able to do what ever windows you want. If you have windows 10 legally the update is free no matter what. I dont think a hard drive could break windows unless a virus was installed. Just take it to your service centers and hopefully they can fix it. Some times trying to fix something yourself will no knowledge can further damage it.

hello, i have a question. when i transfer my files on google drive does it take up storage on my laptop? does it mean transferring them on gdrive is useless when i want to free up space by deleting files in my desktop?

your convert() function is returning "Error\n" instead of "7.5" for that test case. Means you havent accounted for an input case. Dont know what this exercise is but you should take a look at what that function is expected to return and think about where it would cause an error

curiously are you using python3? in python 2 using ints like 5/100 will floor and return 0

when u upload your files on google drive a copy of the files is stored on the google drive so you can delete your files from your pc but if you ever need them back just go to your google drive and download them from there

see so basically the question is, user will give input in either 12 hrs or 24 hrs time format, it only 7:30 is given , means it is in hours, but if p.m. or a.m. is given then we will have to convert it to 24 hr format and then to decimal (like 7:30 p.m. shld be converted to 19.5 and if it lies in the time slots(either breakfast or lunch or dinner) then it shld give the output and if it is not in the time slot, then no output)

there is one additonal challenge with ques ( i coded keeping that in mind also)

Where do i start with learning how to make simple programs? Any books/courses/websites/whatevers?

I have never done anything like this before (besides VERY simple c++ programs and even simpler html websites in highschool that i had to do but didnt necessary enjoy at the time) and i am clueless where to start

Just want to do it in my free time, will probably NOT practice more than 30 mins/day unless i really start liking it

hello @elder swan... You can start with web dev its easy and fun but if you want to learn more about programming and all you should start learning C. Its going to give you a lot of basics like it did for me...but remember that its just my pov and i got it from my experience, so you should ask more people and look for what you want as a priority so you can aim the best programming language for you.

ok, since I cant see what the actual input for the test case is, I shouldve asked you to do this earlier. add print() statements throughout execution and do a trace of your code. print the variables as well as their types. when you run the test they should show up and you can go from there

you need to think about why the testing program would output an error from your convert function. It could me a typeerror, syntaxerror, a whole range. but since the function works on your dry run its probably not a syntax error. so i'd think that its being given the wrong type and youre not handling it

I am finished with pointers and dynamic mem. allo. and now I am moving on allocating mem for nested structs it works but I have no clue how to store values in the allocated memory.

tried a lot of stuff and even moved the for outside the function of mem allocation to make it easier still throws errors

It might help if you try just assigning for the non-nested struct first. Then when you can get those values stored try the syntax for nested

in this scenario I think there is too much going on and youre trying to debug in one file, if you use that small example in another file and just mess around with that and run it I think you'll esaily figure out what the problem is

yeah I think graphics/games/space industry is the only places its used now. most of the fast movign tech side of things is all java and python, even though theyre legacy codebases

development overhead for C is crazy though. I cant imagine developing any product in C other than games or highly optimised systems because you can whip up products in java and python so quickly and leave everything to dumballoc

This is quite specific but if anyone is dealing with code I'd like the assistance.

My problem comes with learning g coding in general, specifically OOP. How do you visualize the code your working with? When you are learning about, say, a MERN stack how would you go about remembering the different ways of coding them, what objects we are manipulating, the environment variables etc?

Tl;dr when you are looking at code you have to learn, what is the best way to visualize how it all connects and how to write it up again so it works properly?

Try making a diagram to show how the elements of the code are related to each other, such as how the processes of each function affect the code. You can try this on a piece of paper to make diagrams or in Canva, in Diagrams.net, Excalidraw or TLDraw.

In addition, try writing down comments to explain what each part of the code does. This will help you remember what they do, making it easier to modify the code when needed.
