Does anyone have a good tutorial for SPSS basics?
hey guys what is the area and volume of this
😞😞
Good luck for the mains tho
I'm prepping for ssb rn
solve it as if its 2 pieces of rectangular prisms
Is it possible to calculate definite integral of 0 to pi of sinx dx using Riemann Summation method??
Can someone help me with this problem?
any tips for studying math?
currently I just have a formula sheet and a bunch of problems without answer I try to solve them, then ask chatgpt for the answer to check myself. But this feels kinda silly cause I don't ever really know whether I'm right cause chatgpt can hallucinate any tips on what I should do?:D
uh, Im not 100% sure what domain and range are since I learnt this topic in a different language but id assume the domain is [-5;-1) (0;2] and range is (-3;5] if that helps
Find problems on the stuff you’re studying online that already have answer sheets you haven’t seen, even better if they show the math so you can check your steps
im kinda clueless on what the proper way to solve this is but since noone helped Ill try my best, I'm pretty sure the max is p=5 and q=5, the minimum is p=10 q=0 then just place those into the given (p^2*q^2)/100, subtract one from the other and you have your answer
p+q have to equal 10
so any two numbers which do so work
10+0=10, 5+5=10
5^2*5^2 = 625, 10^2*0^2=0 that is the maximum and the minimum
(625-0)/100 = 25/4
the one thing I struggle with when trying to do that is that im learning in lithuanian while the problem sheets online are in english so its kinda hard for me to match up what I know even if I understand english perfectly well:D
I assume from your phrasing, Lithuanian equivalents of such don’t exist? Better to ask your professor for resources, answer sheets, or get a language translator as an extension on your browser, maybe even find videos online in that language. Unfortunately whatever study tips or schedules you do garner will be unrelated to the actual material especially for something as inflexible as math. Where results will always need a solid foundation
Can anyone show me how a line is parallel to both VP and HP in a visual representation

hey guys I have a question
A block of wood 4 cm x 4 cm x 0.5 meter long is thrown on the water. The question is what position the
wood would be. Is it in the upright position (vertical) or Horizontal position. Explain your answer.
Do i still need to compute this to determine if it will float horizontally or vertically?
This is under bouyancy
You can write it as
(1+2+3 ….. + n )/n^2
now the formula of 1+2+3….+n = n(n+1)/2
hope it helps
Plz help ( just to be clear at the lther of part of the equation it's x² not everything ²
can someone give me tips for math proves i feel so overwhelmed and i dont seem to grasp it. I was so good in analysis in highschool and aced basically every exam without studying much but now im just struggling because... well i dont even know why i grasp the topics but when trying to prove its never the same idea as in the correction sheet. of course when i have to do suprema proves or something i get it that i have to start with epsilon ideas but then i always get stuck or lost and do something thats not allowed
is someone good here at Complex Analysis
Yes, to some extent I can help.
Merciii
can someone pls help to solve this?
I am
yo guys
could anyone help me with c please, my goal is to do it without the definition
so i got the derivative signal for v(t) which gives the derivative of x(t)
or x3(t)
but do i then jsut integrate the dx3(t)/dt signal to get back to x3(t)
how tf do i even start???
does anyone have any good recommendations for discrete math books which focus on writing proofs
which can also include exercises ofc
Can anybody please help, how to go about with these questions
anyone know and is able to teach me differential calculus
got a midterm in 2 days and im struggling
Can someone give me a roadmap or some links through which I can learn linear algebra and calculus from scratch.
how??
the limit is x -> infinity right?
i did it in short and in rough
wait il put the pic in chatgpt
and send u a detailed answer
@heavy blaze
i think you can but its incredibly lengthy
this is why taylors expansion was made in the first place
ahh alright
i have looked
how did you make your name upside down
nd I didn’t find any answer
I’m sending u a website
alr
I would recommend you Miguel de Guzmán's 'How to speak, prove and solve in mathematics' (Original 'Cómo hablar, demostrar y resolver en Matemáticas')
Wait wrong pic
Is this value equal? Or two different things
cuz I tried a different approach on differentation
Photomath says the other solution while I got the other solution
I asked chatgpt it says its equal I just need a second opinion
They are equal I’m pretty sure
yeah they're equal
If u substituted values into the numerator for x you would see the answer would be the same each time
Help please
do u know what the answer is
Nah questions have mark schemes. When u don’t understand how the answer is what it is u ask for help on how to get it right. So he may already known the answer
Yes bro thanks 👍
No bro i didn't know the answer
Yh that wasn’t the point but Alr
the final answer bro
No bro i don't now
it's ok bro dw 👍
can you please share some resourses if you have any ! thank you
I can recommend resources to you
I can't share intelectual material with copyright withouh consent
Obviously
I would recommend you the following readings:
-Rudin, Real and complex analysis, 3rd ed, 1987.
-Vera Botí, Variable Compleja, problemas y complementos (Complex Variable, problems and complements), Royal Spanish Mathematical Society Editions, 2013.
-Rao, Stetkaer. Complex analysis, an invitation, 1991.
Rudin's book is a classic for every math major in the world. It is famous for the elegant shortness of its proofs.
Vera Botí 's book is a wonderful 500 pages long collection of fully solved exercises throughout the main topics of every Curriculum in Complex Analysis for math majors.
Rao and Stetkaer's is a perfect invitation to many other topics with different approaches to those of Rudin's.
hey there , thank you so much for replying , i really Appreciate your efforts ! ill definetly go through it
probably a bit of a simple question, but cant figure out how b can be a prime number..
sqrt(50)=sqrt(25*2) = 5sqrt(2)
2 is a prime number and 5 is an integer
oh shoot never wouldve realised that tysm
Omg that was in my end of year exam last year.
sheesh im guessing your a level now then
Nope still at GCSE
Can someone help me on this problem?
I didn’t get the issue
@keen walrus
does any of you have exercises about exponential functions?
@everyone
Go ahead
We have random processes, and their type and it feels pretty vague. Like i can think about it for some time, but then when I am on next topic it feel like I have retained nothing. We have not been provided with any solidifying numericals either.
do u have such an example??
Is the Regular Expression of this NFA: a*b**a?
How do I prove using Arden's Theorem?
Can someone help me with this problem?
Got my final maths exam which will affect what college I go to today. Pray for me pls
I just did the exam. I actually cooked a masterpiece. Predicting a 100%
Genuinely locked in
hey does anyone know of any programs or really anything to do with college algebra? I’ve been doing ok-ish but kinda suck ass. Anything helps
Hey guys can someone help me on this problem please?
do you know the integration for sqrt(a^2-x^2)dx
you just have to use that here a = 2 and let u = x+1
then apply u-substitution
if you dont then try applying inegration by parts for this for a2-x2 and 1
If anyone can help that would be great ty
did you find the values for g(1),g'(1),g''(1) use t_4?
this a general expression for it
i think thats all you have to do
GUYS I spent 2 days on this damn question. I'm blocked at ii).
If someone is in masters, or knows perron frobenius theorems, then he should be able to do that.
Thats the book:
https://ucsb.app.box.com/v/LecturesNetworkSystemsSildes
It can be solved using progression and series concepts also but I want the Permutation and Combination based approch... helpp plss
a number is divisble by 3 if sum of digits are divisible by 3 you find all such combinations a number is divisble by 11 if the sum of odd digits - sum of even digits you find all such combinations and then subtract their union
I appreciate your help but I know this part... but the problem is I can't think of anything any further
well whats left after that though?
like is your answer not matching?
no, it is supposed to solved using permutation and combinations
and I am not that good at it
thats brutal there are so many possible combinations tho
but i can tell you the procedure ig
when you find all the combinations find the total ways they can be rearranged for eg (1,0,5,3)
this can be done in 3x3x2x1 ways
and (1,2,2,4) can be done in 4!/2 ways
similarly (1,1,1,3) can be done in 4!/3! ways ie 4 ways
you have to do this for every such combination
i guess i'm cooked
Hey guys, so I have a straightforward question. What are the major steps in Simplifying Exponential Expressions? So like every time I am trying to solve an expression with exponents like 2-4 terms in the numerator and 2-3 terms in the denominator. I always mess up with these kind of questions. So like my question is what should I always solve first? Such as negative exponents and bases that can be further simplified. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks! (I tried my best to explain it in the simplest form)
can someone help me on this problem?
you can either use leibniz rule or in this case simply evaluate the integral and differentiate it however that might not always work so prefer use leibniz rule
Huh ?? Is the answer key in any way correct
I think you are right, it is 2/36 so 1/18
Can someone help me on this problem?
sure
still awake?
anti derivative is the reverse integral so you need to find F'(x) to get f(x)
then plug it in and integrate
sorry I went to sleep
can someone help me with this? "Panjang OP" Basically means OP length
I dont know how to answer the question since they didnt provide information for DO or OA
the answer is 18 ?
Do you have any formula or sum that i can use to answer other question that's similiar to this one?
Triangle DOM and Triangle DAB are similar triangle.
When triangles are similar the ratio of their corresponding sides is the same so,
DO/DA = OM/AB = DM/DB
So from OM/AB = DM/DB
we can write
x/24= 3/9 ---> x/24 = 1/3
x = OM = 8
And OP = 2OM
thus OP = 16
Unfortunately, I don’t have
Thankyou my guy omg 🔥🔥🔥
Can someone help me with solving rational equations for values of x im lost ash and i have an exam tomorrow 🙏
3n-1/5n-1 is this the answer?
no

Please do it
How much you want ?
On m’a proposé 55 pour tout le devoir

take de 55 of that guy
Instead of paying someone to do your homework hire a tutor lil bro
Within that hour you'll get knowledge that will stick with you
Can you become my tutor ?
What level of math are you doing
Idk your syllabus but math is math
Im un fourth years after baccalaureay
Master 1 in math
I'm not sure what that is
So you're 4th years uni?
Idk man I'm the wrong guy to ask
Idk what it's called in France but I'm in my final year before uni
Terminale?
Okayy np
Yesss
That's your grade?
he's 4 years after high school
He could just say he's in uni
to all tunisans and/or algerians
do you have some resources for bac for science math
not sc exp
because all i can find is sc exp
for math
How do i find the angle of intersection of these 2 curves ( r )
This is my answer
@mighty scarab
look imagine u have structure like this, 2n vertices and each's degree is it's row's number like v1 has 1 degree, v2 has 2 degrees
and u know for this degrees are 1,1,2,2,3,3,...,n,n now u gotta prove for 2n+2 vertices have 1,1,2,2,3,3,...n,n,n+1,n+1 degrees
doing this Q on matrices, and i got this answer for the determinant, but the solution's different. any clue where i went wrong?
Is this for university ?
I assume you divide b - a to get an 1 in the second row. But you can’t divide by zero, so to be correct you have to state that b does not equal a. I think you have the same answer further?
Like row operations can be done in multiple ways
yes, but it’s maths on a chemistry course so it’s slightly easier. why?
what do you mean?
You divide this right?
If you divide this you have to be sure you are not dividing by zero
and this is only the case when b does not equal a and also c does not equal a
oh i know why you have a different determinant.
Look up determinant properties on google and then you see when you divide something or multiple a row what happens with the determinant
study like granger ( tw tl9a documents t3 bac maths )
You just took out 2 required conditions out of the determinant and got only one, you're not wrong it's wrong interpretation ig
Try keeping the common row factor outside the simplified matrix then find the determinant and multiply by that
There's a rule that for determinant it is fine to take out common factors from both row and column but for matrix in general common factor can be taken out from all elements only
thanks (i like bread)
Can anyone solve 2 and 3a for me asap
are you in hs?
zaaamn
that's some college level math
No im in 1st year college
If u cud pls solve the 2nd one it wud be of great help
I found 3a but not the 2nd one
@devout portal first find logu
Alr
u get me ?
This is completely the same?
( no one : me tryna solve uni maths in 12th grade )
naah , but this procedure is same
Lolol thats amazing
not really , coz Euler's formula is not in my syllabus
What am i even substituting here
Exactly so that's amazing
That u already know how to solve this
well for the given value of u , u get a funcn and for that fucn u let this
with a variable t
😭
Im gonna give up right here.
?
I don't get that part
u want full soln ?
better option
Sure
Yea
Oooh okay
Oooh look
and then substitue log u
yes yes
Now i can figure it out
u asked chatgpt ?
Nah google
India
which colg
Ehh i dont wanna get doxxed
i see
i am from india too
can someone explain to me the horizontal asymptotes for this function?
thank you that helps a lot :))
Isn't one y=0 since function can never get 0 value?
But can only approach it
you want to see if there exist a and b such that f(x) - (ax+b) has a limit of 0 for x going to + or - infinity.
Here, for x -> +infinity, f(x) - (ax+b) -> +infinity for any a and b possible. So no horizontal asymptot at +infinity.
And for x -> -infinity, notice that f(x) - (0x+0) -> 0 so y=0x+0=0 is an horizontal asymptot
In -ve infinity it is there
yeah i just sent my message too quickly lol
Np
Yours seems like a more refined approach I just judged it on the basis of e^x never becoming 0 so obv y=0
Yeah you are right, just for once i was able to answer a question so i did
Hi can anyone help me with this question which is solved in chegg.
https://www.chegg.com/homework-help/questions-and-answers/1-architectures-considering-one-two-changes-processor-first-increase-clock-speed-3ghz-45gh-q216296103
I would be really thankful
Answer to 1) Architectures are considering one of two
calc 3 final this friday...
vector calc is kind of overwhelming me rn. there are so many forms of line integrals, sometimes you can solve problems with stokes/divergence theorem other times you can just evaluate the line integral directly—it feels like a big mess of information and i'm having trouble organizing it into meaningful structures
practicing it makes it not that hard
just write it in a copy 1-2 times and you will get the hang of it
okay i'll work through a bunch of examples thanks
yes, y=0 should come out at negative infinity, and at positive infinity it should come out positive infinity and I don't quite understand how, because I get an indefinite symbol
you have to use the fact that the limit of e^x/x^n when x -> +inf is +infinity. Sorry if it does not answer your question my english is not good
Can someone help me with this problem?
Hi everyone, I am practicing for calculus exam and the following problem needs to be solved using complex analysis. Any help would be great!
integrate velocity equation to get equation for displacement in terms of t then substitute for t=3 and thats your answer
it's all clicking together it's actually really beautiful
i can't believe it all boils down to the fundamental theorem of calculus
Could anyone help me with a really quick series question, using the geometric series sum equation
Its for the series
n=1 to infinity of (5^(1-n) * 2^(2n))
Can someone help me with this?
I'd really appreciate it
the general term = 5**5^(-n) 4^n = 5 (4/5)^n and then you can use the geometric series sum since 4/5 is between -1 and 1
this gives 25 if 'im not wrong
Can someone explain how to solve this? (statics)
Hello everyone, I have somewhat of a project due soon and I've never dealt with having to write mathematical notation in any documentation, could anybody please recommend the easiest method to write a mathematical document, considering that I don't really have time to learn something like LaTeX ?
latex is honestly quite easy to learn so i would suggest you just bite the bullet and do it now. otherwise i would highly recommend using Obsidian which is a markdown editor and supports latex. its very easy to use
use single dollar signs $ ... $ for inline equations, or double dollar signs $$ ... $$ for display-style equations
e.g:
docs and word have support for math notation, but as mentioned above learning some LaTeX would very likely be the most time efficient
this is kind of the standard editor https://www.overleaf.com/
main package you may need is amsmath
Yeah I guess I'd have to learn LaTeX anyway so I'll look into it, thanks !
I started using it since it seems simple enough for the kind of writing I have to do, thank you !
without context its hard to understand but the calculation are right
İf i drop the context, is it possible that you might explain the steps
Hes integralling the function with E İ (elasticity factor and intertia)
This is the as much as i know what happens here
İll drop the full question in a few
sorry it's out of my skils haha. But you could also post this in "science-help" i think it would make more sense
totally fine, thank you for your time
Help
I put y= 0 and got x= 3m+2/m²-5m which should be greater than 0. Then I put numerator and denominator both > 0 and then both < 0
And i got like 4 conditions but idk how to deal w it
What is the answer?
I don't have the answer bro
Sir ne mann se banake dediya 😔
I'm looking for the mathematical answer to the question of how knn algorithm works with more than two features, does anyone know where I can find it?
m>5
I got this
Yeah thanks i got stuck on last wala step
is it the best way to calculate these type of questions?
because there is also other methods such as Energy method or mass reduction one
I don't know if they are included in the specific engineering field which is the book about or it is the mathematical methods
I need to start over lol
Thank you Toony 🙏
I need help
sorry for the late response
answer is false
this is u sub for integrals
sub in u for 10-x^2 on the bottom
take du/dx to change what variable youre taking the integral with respect to
du=-2x dx
dx= du/-2x
and sub in
-2x would cancel out
so it would be positive instead of negative integral
also the bounds change when you sub in the previous integrals bounds into the equation you u-subbed for
so just plug in -2 and 0 to 10-x^2 for the new bounds of the integral with respect to u
hi guys, can someone help me with this question
use this
latex suite plugin makes it way easier too
Will the range of x given have any effect on the question??
Yea İ did it but it didnt seem to work
if x is in span(w1,...,wm) then its clear that x is in span(v1,...,vm).
If x is in span(v1,...,vm) then you should be able to express each vk with w1,...,wk. Start by writing the first ones:
v1=w1
w2=v1+v2 and v1=w1, so v2= w2 -w1.
This step can be done by induction.
Thus x can be written with only w1,...,wm so x is in span(w1,...,wm).
Another way to do it is to rewrite the m equations with only one matrix equation. You can write that W=AV where W=(w1 w2 ... wm) (a column), V=( v1 v2 ... vm) ( a column) and A with only 1 in the bottom-left triangle. det(A)=1 so A is reversible and you can write V=BW where B is the inverse matrix of A (which you don't have to calculate), which means every vectors v can be written with only wk vectors
Hope it helps and sorry for my english
Here I don't know but there are formulas that give really different things depending on if x>1 or x<1 for instance. Yet you can try to calculate the thing quickly before thinking too much on if the range of x will have an impact, since if it will you'll see it. And also probably here the range of x is only here so he expression is well defined
you should get 3cos(40)-4cos(40)^3 . And I think we don't know the exact value of cos(40°) so you won't get further. Weird question since it doesn't feel like we have simplified anything...
yea weirdly enough the answer is 0.5 to this question idduno why
i must be missing something then sorry
Nah don't worry about it ill ask the teacher tomorrow thanks for your time
ngl those curvy lines with - and + looks weird
instead of the common sign table
Each (v_k = w_k - w_{k-1}) (with (w_0 = 0)), so (v_1, \dots, v_m) are linear combinations of (w_1, \dots, w_m). Similarly, each (w_k = v_1 + \cdots + v_k), so (w_1, \dots, w_m) are linear combinations of (v_1, \dots, v_m). Thus:
[
\boxed{\text{span}(v_1, \dots, v_m) = \text{span}(w_1, \dots, w_m).}
]
hi guys I missed most of my high school calculus and linear algebra T-T courses... and guess what I am now a an electrical engineering student 😄 so I need to recap the calculus course and train in linear algebra pretty well and make sure that I understand them from A to Z so if anyone has any suggestion for books, specific curriculum or text books and question banks please share it with me.
lmao we the same course, i can look around my goodnotes and see what books we used in our prev semesters, ill just tag you here once i find them
great can't wait thx bro
for calculus:
Calculus 8th Edition
- by james stewart
useful book youll use in the next semesters:
Advance engineering mathematics sixth edition
- Dennis G. Zill
i didn't really have a linear algebra class but this book should help
Introduction to Linear Algebra for Science and Engineering (3rd Edition)
- Daniel Norman and Dan Wolczuk
there u go
Guys, does anyone have files of difficult math exercises on the topics of functions, logarithms, oxyz, and practical application problems, or min, max, and thinking problems? Can you give me the file link? Thank you very much.
anyone understand this stuff and can explain me how I get a read on a,b,c and d? I get a and d but the other two not TT. At least I think I get those two.
I'm free tmr again for vc, though if you can explain otherwise so I understand that's also fine. A video that helps is also appreciated.. though all the ones I have watched didn't help even the slightest bit in reading the graph ._.
if you can help just dm me please. Thanks in advance
you could find a website where you can fill in the function and change yourself some values to see what changes
thanks, that helped me figure out a way of my own
what is this? limits or integration or laplace transformation?
it was laplace transformation
Hi?
Can anyone help me out with this question? It's from the Theory of Equations - Quadratic equation.
c) 8080
Nope mate, the answer is 16000. It could be solved by just expanding the given expression.
I solved it as soon as I sent the question over here.
Amm I solved also and the result is 8080
Maybe I’m wrong
Maybe mate, try writing the equations once again and putting the values over again.
did u simplify it
Yes, just simplify the equation ac(a-c) + ad(a-d) + bc(b-c) + bd(b-d)
You will get the expression :
(c+d)(a^2+b^2)+(d^2+c^2)(-a-b)
We have the values for (a+b) and (c+d), just subsitute them, and you'll get the answer.
so you're not getting the answer?
alr wai
oh mb i didn't see the previous message
nice question
anyone here knows how to use a Z to infinity chart?
does someone know how to compose piecewise functions??
Mate, I already got the answer.
take g(x), plug it into f(x), and check which parts of g(x) fit into f(x)’s domain. Do this for every interval of g(x), then write one combined piecewise function showing how the pieces fit together
it basically helps you find the area (probability) from a z-score to -ve infinity. Look at the first column for the z-score's first digit and tenths place (eg 0.2), then the top row for the 100ths place (eg 0.02), find where they meet for the probability
sorry I didn't see it was 3 am 😭
okayyy! thank you soo much
by "check which parts of g(x) fit into f(x)’s domain" you mean the parts of the g(x)'s domain? or g(x)'s image?
I mean the outputs of g(x), check what numbers g(x) gives and see how these align with the domain rules of f(x)
for example if g(x) outputs even values under 100, u need to check which rules of f(x) apply to this certain range of values
Can someone explain how you get the angle between the line of action of the 360N force and the y' axis please
Can someone help me with this differentiation modelling question? (A level maths year 1/ AS level maths)
Apologies if my handwriting causes any difficulties
The second word is 'sheet'
💀
ur handwriting is soo good
Ppl tell me my handwriting is victorian like
Nice to look at, but difficult to interpret
So some struggle with reading it
write the expression for surface area in terms of x and h. from the expression of volume i.e. x²h = 300, express one variable in terms of the other and substitute it in the surface area expression and find the minima
need some help with the question, i've to find whether the following integral converges or diverges
i wanna go back to learning math, especially to do game engine thing. Any book to recommend ? I have a very basic math skill, and was pretty bad at it at school, but when you apply it to code, i'm pretty good
pls help
Woah
Alright this will work

Planes are same
Lines are parallel they lie on top of each other
I dont know alot but since the components are asked along x and y'
I teach Math on YouTube https://youtube.com/@themathwitchf4ever?si=qENHifHejL4Cep_1
I will post more soon. Please share with others and SUBSCRIBE
they are the same plane, just multiplied by 3 on both sides, so the answer would be 0 unit
you need basics of calculus, you can watch the 12 hr vid by freecodecamp, and if youre interested or doubtful about something just search that topic or maybe just ask here
also learning vectors and matrices would be nice too for game engines
I am not in a position to endorse a particular tome, but i believe that Khan Academy would suffice as the main resource for your work
Anyone would be down to help me with this question? I'd really appreciate your efforts.
these are the questions from Math Olympiad...kindly solve it and tell me the correct answer
b
got it
Do you need the remaining ones or u solved it?
need help w the 14th question
I would appreciate it if you could also provide the answers to the remaining questions as well
why is 1 - cz = 0
Isn't there something in vectors like all the components are individually equal to 0 as well
Or maybe not, haven't really done vectors so well
I think it is
If a vector is equal to zero then all its components would be zero as well
Yo I think this would be the correct answer, but I’m not sure if you’re supposed to use a formula or something to solve it
answer is 0,11/7 ;(
thanks for trying doe
Dammmmn my bad
isoki
thanks
this would be the approach
ohhhh:0 i see, appreciate it!

Cos2A=cos^A-sin^A
Apply that and pythagorean trigonometric identity then you'll get the next step
Or wait

It's a direct formula derived from this which is derived from...other something
Got it, thank you
Its direct formula

Just check it out and try to fit it w the empty set thing
It'll make sense
a set A is a subset of a set B if all elements of A are also elements of B; B is then a superset of A
what does empty set contain?
Well, it's empty
so it's a subset of every set since technically all of the elements of the empty set do belong to any other given set
Welp, TIL I'm shitty at explaining
You can check out Eddie woo— I think he'd have explained that in some of his sets videos
oke thanks
@mystic thunder it's also an example of something that's vacuously true; e.g. all unicorns can fly - there are no unicorns so every unicorn can indeed fly. there are no elements of an empty set, so all elements of the empty set are contained in every set
oooo yeah now I got it thanks broski
any help with this?
im stuck after taking 1- cos (x^2/2) as common
do I have to use any formulae?
also this:
you can use taylor series!
after pluggin in x^2/2 or x^2/4 into the equation, note that terms of the series with power greater than 8 can be ignored (as they will go to 0)
ah yes!!! thankyouu!! you saved a great deal of my time!!
Sub dx, use sub method
Can anyone give me tips with maths i mean i have studied everything 2 months ago but now i forgot everything and now whenever i try to study i feel i already no this
Just start with defining when a triangle is isosecles
same for Trapezoid
the rest will follow trivially
hi, i'm having a problem with proving if this sequence is arithmetical or not
i'm not sure if i did the last part right and if i can count it further or if that's it, would really appreciate help
(sorry if i didn't explain the problem well, i haven't talked about math in english before)
before calculting and rewriting terms, first DEFINE when a sequence is an arithmetical sequence
Translate those words into mathematical language

hi, does anyone by any chance know this simple math problem?? ;^;
I'm not sure if this equation is correct, plus identifying graph aren't my strongest in this unit...
what you can do here is the following:
pick 2 points on the graph that you can be sure of
use the following formula:
y−y1 = y2 - y1 / x2- x 1 (x - x1)
fill in and then you can look depending on the grey area
to see if its < or >
Help pls
we need to see the whole problem
Think that's the whole problem
Hello everyone! Who knows Test of Hypothesis?
hi does anyone know how to do this question
can anyone help me with this
you can make it self referential, i.e. x = sqrt(6 + x) and solve for x
you can make use of binomial coefficient. in general, for (x + 1)^n, the coefficient of x^k is (n choose k). for intuition, suppose you write out all the terms:
(x + 1)(x + 1) ... (x + 1)
each (x + 1) in the product contributes an x or 1 to be multiplied into a summand. so essentially you can think of the coefficient as how many ways you can choose x k times from n terms in the product, which is exactly (n choose k).
thankss i got it by squaring both sides then solving for x
Can any one help me with this problem.
give the board a coordinate system. note that moving diagonally preserves the parity of the sum of coordinates. for example, if you're at (x, y) and move upper right, then you're at (x + 1, y + 1) and (x + y) has the same parity as (x + y + 2). then note that B and X have different parities
think about the difference between white squares and black squares on a chess board. then think about why bishops can only stay on their own color
I have got a solution but thanks for replying it is the same as you suggested.
Is there any method to find it graphically like we do in modulus fn bcoz i have alrdy solved it using int by parts but looking for another way
As far as I know, No that's the only way
yo what software is this
good notes on ipad
just watch like rapid revisions nd stuff
@worthy plume u can ask deepseek
idk if its right or not
It's new in the AI thing but almost everyone is saying it's better than chatgpt
How to make ur probability strong as f 💪 class 12th boards, well i aint talking about some easy shit questions like ncert i am talking about pyq and exemplar
exemplar questions are hard but pyq questions are not
u just have to practice practice practice and ask the doubts that you have to your teachers nd stuff..
I dont have any teachers
Whole year i was studying for jee so no school
then how you gonna give ur 12th boards
only 6 days left
ur boards are from 15th right?
cause we 10th graders will give boards from 15th Feb
I mean JEE ended 22 jan, so from 22 jan i started preparing for boards
then ur only good chance is to just watch rapid revisions nd stuff (only if u have some knowledge about the chapters)
if u dont have some knowledge abt the chapters, then idk what to do..
Thanks for the suggestion but i was talking about probability.
I thought the probability of getting better marks 😂
that's why
lol
Lol 😭
good luck for ur boards nd jee
hope you pass both with the best marks 👍 wine 🗿
Well jee is f up
still 6 days left
So probability will be 1/2
xD
nah
Mjak kr rha hu
have to take it serious
Kahi fail na hoju

it aint mate, it aint....
I personally havent tested deepseek till now
but people are just saying it better
if you would like your information to be wide spread, go ahead!
afterall deepseek's deepthink r1 takes too much time people are saying
On the outside it looks good and all, but its shit on the inside
that's sarcasm isn't it?
😑
I just said I personally didn't test it out
and I don't wanna do it
it is not
anybody wanna give an integral i could answer
Do integration of x^2-2x-1/(x-1)(x-2)(x^2+5)
Bro just practice over and over again. There are two ways you can score good in maths either by doing pyq's or practice as hell like that would help dw if you feel you already know this then still do it
am I missing something
Trig sub?
Hi I have a project at school in physics or math about " cycles and loops ", any ideas ?
can anyone please help me with this question? thankyou
solved it, nvm
help
this equation looks complicated but it’s actually tied to trigonometry
the roots are connected to angles and you can think of them as being spaced out evenly on a circle
but Im not sure about what kind of help do you need? where are u stuck in your reasoning? I can try to help you if u can be more specific
could anyone help me with this question? honestly not sure what to do with it, many thanks
definitely not an easy equation lol
but I’d try two approaches like Vieta’s formulas to use root relations and trigonometric substitution which I think often works for cubic equations like this
the roots seem to follow a cosine pattern, making things simpler I guess
it’s been a while since I did some physics but I found the formula for your question
you need to find the force by multiplying the mass of the wheelbarrow (50 kg) by gravity (9.81 m/s²), which gives you the value of F. Then, you can figure out the lever arm by taking the horizontal distance X (0.25 m) and multiplying it by the cosine of the angle (34°), which gives you a meter value
finally you’ll have to multiply the force by the lever arm to get the moment in Nm
this formula btw
is the horizontal distance 150cm in this case?
No the horizontal distance isn't 150 cm here like that’s the length AB, likely the wheelbarrow's handles
You have to use X = 25 cm (0.25 m) and its horizontal component: d = 0.25 times * cos(34°), that's ur lever arm
correct me if im wrong,
so the lever arm would be 0.25 x cos34
with the force being (50x9.81)
and then the moment would be those two multiplied together?
I do apologise im really bad at physics
yes I think so
thats coming up as wrong im afraid
oh lmaoo what have you found
its a website my class uses and it just verifies if the answer is right or wrong 😭
the answer I got was 101.66
which was wrong
okay so I will think where I got smth wrong wait 😭
alright, thank you
Im a Bioinformatics student but I’ll try since this if fun to do physics bc it’s been a whileee
let’s try again
sounds good 👌
try 343.2 Nm and tell me
still no
nope
wait wtf
We just have to apply the formula of the moment like M = F * d
F = m * g
right
F = 50 * 9,81 = 490,5 Newton
like for this step that’s good do u agree ?
seems right
maybe you were right about the perpendicular distance
we have to find d
did I said 411 Nm?
d is the distance between the point where the force is applied and the axis around which the rotation occurs right
honestly im not sure 😭
😭😭
I feel dumb rn bc this is not my field at all but you have to find the answer
can someone help us pls
d is the distance perpendicular from the force and the origin
that is what it says on your picture xp
try 613,125 Nm
is that a comma or a decimal
still wrong 😭
ur friend found 613
the distance is like he said
150 cm - 25 cm
so 125 cm
and M = F * d
so 490,5 * (125 cm * 10**-2) to convert in Nm
and I found 613,125 Nm
yea, it was that way
i didnt know where to start, so i have to go back on a few things to get a hold of this
this is the solution btw
this list its so difficult 😭
yup
what's the answer
i know that in the wikipedia of the putnam competition it says if you get top 5 then you get tuition at harvard, does that mean if you compete in the putnam from another school you will be offered a full ride at harvard?
Need help to find value of this
Why do you add ln?
L'hopital's rule is basically that you derivate both the numerator and denominator and then solve the limit
a^x = exp( ln(a^x) ) = exp( x ln(a) )
ooo thank you king
use l hospital
l hopital on the first one and just trigono in the second (noice questions for 11th ngl)
Tru
thanks
is the first or the second one right?
both are incorrect
yes I figured it out after I took a break thank you anyways tho :)
haha happens
thank youuuu
hey, is there anyone here who could explain integrals to me?
Ez
can someone explain eigenvector decomposition in prinicpal component analysis to me
Guys if tan 90 Is undefined the n cot which is 1/tan cot 90 is also undefined
Nope it would be zero
tan 90 is undefined because it is written as sin90 upon cos90
Which is 0 upon 1 which is undefined
But if you reciprocal it
It would become 1 upon 0
That is 0
Simple
Ohh yah I just failed my exam and I came out so happy thinking I did good
Thanks tho
😢
I too have my exam in 2 days😭😭
Great confidence man
I hope u do better then I did
Okayyy ☺️
Omg another question
What would the graph of g(x)=2tan3x be
Is this correct
Ok it's a bit hard to understand
If I were a teacher I would give a zero on the diagram
And to the question won't the tan graph remain same??
😭 it’s not the graph for the exam lol someone copied it down on a scratch paper and snuck it out to check their answer dw the one the teacher will mark is better
No tan x is diff from 2 tan 3x
My brain stopped working by seeing to much maths💀💀
Even I don't know this
Haha lol it’s Alr google gave me the answer and I got that wrong as well
Mist probably you have to find the value for every angle and plot the graph
Yah
Damm I'm correct?
you can also think about it as a stretch where everything is pulled towards the y axis by a factor of 3 so you'd usually have a tan intersection at pi (or 180deg) but instead its now pi/3 (or 60deg)
and the multiple of 2 increases the positive y values and makes the negative ones more negative so stretches it away from the x axis by 2, would recommend messing around with desmos to gain an intuition for stuff like this
Ah f i dont know a shit
Anyone know an all in one math text book? If not recommend the best math text book you have ever used please, no matter what area of math. Any math text book you read and have just thought, wow, this is the best math text book I've ever used. THANKS ❤️
Try NCERT version of maths from india
He said best not the worst
idk how it is ive just heard stuff about it
😁😁😁
Ah shit he might need 24/7 ambulance care
Thanks
Oh...? 💀
Thanks
Does anyone know how to resolve this interesting contradiction? Where is the problem
I got this far but i don’t know how to justify the condition i underlined in red
This problem made me smile. My teacher just pulled this up during the start of complex Numbers and it was funny seeing him prove 1=-1 :)
Could u show that to me?
Ah its just the same as what i wrote
Got u
Yes it is
Sqrt AB can't be resolved into SqrtA and SqrtB if both of them are negative
That's what the underlined statement says
And that's the condition for the equation to be true though I don't know what the word justify means in this sense
I meant like
I know know its true by looking at the equation and then making it such that it resolved the contradiction
Thats like cheating
Just does the condition arise by itself
If u know what i mean
That would justify it
You wanna just...derive the equation then? Jk..
Derive the condition, yeah
Like u know how absolute value functions are piecewise functions with the condition that all values less than zero have to be multiplied by negative one? That condition is justified because it’s in accordance with the definition of the absolute value function itself. The condition that I set out in my proof isn’t justified in the same sense.
when I took my complex number classes I searched up the same thing after an hour was fussing over it and the answer to this question made much sense to me. You'll perhaps want to check it out: https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/3528192/why-is-sqrtab-sqrta-sqrtb-not-true-when-a-and-b-are-both-negative
Ohhh, I see, that's what you meant by justified. I haven't done much 'proving' maths yet, so I was unable to understand what it meant
Awesome. Looks like what i need. I’ll check it out as soon as I can.
Have fun!
Thank you so much
Probably, so using section formulla find the point b/w two points then we have 3 points a,b,c with a having x1,y1,z1 similarly b x2,y2,z2 and c x3,y3,z3. Now first to prove collinearity b/w a and b. We do x1/x2=y1/y2=z1/z2 (if all equal then hence proved )and similarly for bc and ac
Let me know if i am wrong
yeah but like why
Because to prove colinearity
why should it be equal
Ah shit u thinkin like phd student ok ima tell u
So a point to be linear
I mean colineqr
Which means
We do that because, to check that lines and parllel
And due to which we can say it is colinear
And if you know that to a line to be parllel a1=a2 and b1=b2 c1=c2 or should be mutiple of each other, and to be linear their ratios should be equal ( a1 upto c2 are direction ratios)
OHHHHH
OKAY
MAKES SENSE THANKS
I forgor this existed
Yea let me know if i am wrong
@mystic thunder @fierce monolith I think you can also prove it by proving that it doesn't intersect nor they are parallel.
my brain is fried can someone help i suck at fractions
What is f(2)? There's a closed hole by itself at f(2), and an open hole within the graph at f(2), and I can only put in one answer. Not sure what the answer for it is supposed to be
F(2) = 2
Just mutiply em in
Multiply*
Hey guys I know this is a bit of a vague question but is there any trick to proof by deduction? (questions where you are supposed to prove if its true or false)
For example: deduce that, for x > 2, 3 / (x - 1) - 2 / (x - 2) is less than x / (x^2 - 3x + 2)
Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well.
I need some valuable help and would be willing to invest if someone can do it. The idea is simple: I have an exam coming up soon, and I need someone who can help me write more than three applied algebra tutorials in LaTeX on my Notion page, written in French, please.
I hope this is allowed, of course. if it’s not, just forget what I said.
umm could anyone help me with the problem number 4
take a better pic cause this isnt a great angle
i dmed you
help please
cant find the p for 11.1b. It is supposed to be 230, but i keep finding 216,67
Hey guys. Can someone please help me on this problem?
So in this graph there are 3 critical points (points at which the first derivative equal zero) the right one at x=3 the derivative change from negative to positive indicating this is a local minima . The middle one at x=1 there is no change so its a reflection point and the right one is a local maximia .
So there is only 1 local minima
you need to calculate the cosinus tangentissimus of the right 87 degree quadrodecimal angle to be precise
Well I have a difficult question asked in a competition...can anyone solve it?
As you stand before the final challenge of Euler’s grave, a group of rival pirates emerges
from the shadows, their leader sneering with confidence. “Think you can handle Ball Ball
Go, landlubbers?” he taunts. “We’ll settle this with a tournament of strategy and skill!”
The rules are laid out before you:
Game Setup
Each match begins with a stack containing k balls
Players alternate turns
On each turn, you can remove either 1, 3, or 4 balls
The player who removes the last ball loses
Tournament Format
Multiple matches will be played, each with a random number of balls between 1 and 15.
Each match will have a unique number of balls, and all numbers from 1 to 15 will be used
without repetition.
The loser of each match starts the next game.
The winner of the last match is the winner of the tournament.
To play optimally and win the tournament, you can choose to intentionally lose a certain
match.
The rival captain smirks, “Pattagobi taught us this game. You won’t stand a chance!”
The measured territories of Euler’s grave seem to fade into the background as the challenge
becomes clear - can you outmaneuver these skilled opponents and claim victory? Given that
the sequence of the number of balls is random, Find the probability of winning if you begin
in terms of a fraction(numerator and denominator are coprime).
Find value of numerator + denominator.
Ignore the story lines, its given just for fun
Find the fraction
i can help
the answer is : n=1/2
youre welcome!
What are we looking for? The Stem Function?
well evaluate it
take 1/x2=t and solve it
cuz the derivative of 1/x2 is already avaliable (i.e 1/x3)
Gm
hi, @everyone, I am ready to help you with geometry and algebra for high schools, but would like to keep in touch with university students 🙂
Sin t/ sqrt (cos^3 t)?
Thx
Wait nvm
how i can solve this , my calc 2 teachr gave it as an exercise
Attempt
Hello, what is it asking me to do? Is it comp? Cross multiplication?
Iirc, it demands you to find the unit vector of B
Although I will say that the notation is quite archaic
OHHHHH OMG
THANK YOU!
can someone pls help me with solving this recurrence ?
Here is described a general method for solving recurrences. Yours is non-homogeneous so you'll need to convert it to homogeneous first and solve that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_recurrence_with_constant_coefficients#Conversion_to_homogeneous_form
In mathematics (including combinatorics, linear algebra, and dynamical systems), a linear recurrence with constant coefficients: ch. 17 : ch. 10 (also known as a linear recurrence relation or linear difference equation) sets equal to 0 a polynomial that is linear in the various iterates of a variable—that is, in the values of the elements of a ...
You are missing the following permissions required to run the command: manage_messages.
Probably easier than I think but I cannot find an equation than works helppp
inscribed angle BAD is right because it intercepts a half-circle arc (BD).
triangle BAD is right and isosceles.
therefore angle ADB is 45 degress.
angle ACB is equal to angle ADB because they are inscribed angles that intercept the same arc (AB).
therefore angle ACB is also 45 degrees.
triangle ABC is isosceles. therefore angle BAC is (180-45)/2 = 135/2 = 67.5 degrees
Ohhhh ok thank you so so much I forgot about the right angle in a semicircle theorum!!🫶🫶
you're welcome :)
check again what exactly gets substituted in the original integral
Solve the following recurrences:
b) T(n)=2T(n/4)+n1/2, n> 0, and T(0)=2
Pls some help ?
Espically when finding the constants , can we find them ? or theres an error with the initail value , T(0) = 2 ?
found this on the web, but i havent learnt master's theorem yet. So u can see if it helps
why is c option wrong here?
Thanks for helping
I had checked about the initial values from my colleagues , and yes it turned out that the initial value is wrong here
while double differentiating you have to multiply with reciprocal of dx/d theta
(it's a rule, when differentiating wrt to 3rd variable) check out some yt videos for more clearity
yup i got it! Thanks for the help!
Find the number of triangles formed by three vertices of a regular n-gon that are obtuse
My advice on this would be to select 2 random vertices, fix them.. and think what condition is necessary to for selecting the 3rd vertice to make the triangle obtuse.
You will then see how many work for those 2.. That's a good place to get started to see how the pattern works for what collection of 3 vertices count in this set. To make sure you hit every collection of 3 vertices in the set, without repeats of the same obtuse triangles, you'll need to do some extra steps.
Also you may have to consider odd and even n-gons separately.
Find the minimum value of k for which the graph of y=kx and y=e^x just touches.
At x=0, y_1=k(0)=0 and y_2=e^0=1. So y_2=e^x is above y_1=kx at this point. By just touches i believe the question is saying, find the minimum k where y_1 intersects y_2 exactly once, and y_1 is less than or equal to y_2 for all values of x.
I hope this helps.
Yeah it asks for intersects only once. So what is that k value?
You can figure it out from the questions requirements. Let x_0,y_0 be the intersection point. Before x_0, y_1 is below y_2 , so it must have a greater slope (or first derivative value) to catch up to y_2. After x_0, y_1 can't intersect y_2 again so the first derivative values of y_1 must be less than y_2. That means when they touch, it flips from greater than to less than, meaning they both have the same slope at the intersection.
Take the first derivative of both and set them equal to each other, take their equations and set them equal to each other.
Then find the x value that works
I tried working this out but didn't get any fruitful result. Can you do it once and tell me what you are getting?
how do you do discrimant for a 3 term quadratic
what do u mean
well divide by x overall and say x not equal to zero
then you get standard quadratic in x^2,x and a constant...apply rule, check roots and then finally at the end check if x=0 satisfied or not. If yes then it is also a root
