since molar mass of nitrogen is 14.0067, n=300/14.0067=21,42
V=nRT/p
we know n, R=8,31 T=305 and p=50000
Ohh nitrogen gas consists 2 nitrogen?-
yep
I took 300/28
np
I got the answer, it will be 0.0523 and my mistake was i counted 101325 as 10325 so ye that’s all
cool
How would you be able to quickly distinguish between a ketone, amine and organic acid? Besides smelling it, and all of them are colourless organic liquids
for amine you could do carbylamine test in which the product gives a foul smell, for ketone you have sodium nitroprusside test and the product is red colored, and organic acid can be tested by adding sodium bicarbonate which would give effervescence
Hey guys I'm having trouble understanding how my professor got the answer to this question (this is for my Gen. Biology 1 class):
( I attached a picture of the question) Calculate the mass - volume ratio as % and as mg/ml for the following:
10g of salt in 200ml of water
______%
______mg/ml
The correct answer is 5% and 50mg/ml
However I can't figure out the math in which he did this - I attached a screenshot of how I tried to solve the problem and the answer I got was 2,000 and 0.02 mg/ml
I'm stumped
maybe try 10/210 *100
because for mass to volume ratio, volume is taken as volume for the whole solution
in the first part just do
mass of solute/volume of solvent ×100
=>10/200×100=5%
and then in the second part to get it in mg/ml convert g into mg (multiplying by 1,000) so u get 10g= 10,000mg
the question isn't asking in percent so dont multiply 100
= 10,000/200
=50 mg/ml
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I see now that my math was off I appreciate your help!
Yes of course <3
how do i retain organix reactions
write them on your walls
oh
who studies chemistry
me
i am right now
cool
me too
do you need help?
I need help with hydrocarbons
sure! how can i help?
Special exercises for aromatic hydrocarbons, I find it difficult to solve them
can you give an example question?
Like writing its equation and formula
oh like they give u a diagram and u gotta write it's formula?
I find it difficult to solve
ohhh
I just studied it yesterday
so suppose they give you benzene, draw the ring with the double bonds in it and draw write a carbon at each corner
now just fill the 4 bonds of carbon with hydrogens
then count all the carbons and hydrogens
you will get
c6h6
It seemed difficult to me
Thanks for giving me a good example
try it with different examples it'll be fine
thanks
I wish you success in your study
thanks !
I'm a student in chemistry and getting started seems a bit difficult
i must clarify that the carbons will already have 3 bonds cuz of the ring, so each carbon will have one hydrogen
yeah it's harder to visualise things unlike physics but you will get the hang of it soon!
I know
I hope so
yes i did a typo and wrote c6h5
oh hhhh
I also made a lot of mistakes in it
yeah happens
Something that anyone can comprehend
The problem we suffer from is the method of teaching
There is a defect in the delivery of the idea

what is the difference between a sign and a symptom
Iirc a sign is some form of the disease that the doctor sees but the patient doesn’t
And vice versa
It’s like if you bruised yourself
A sign is the obvious purple/blue appearance of the affected area which others (also you) can see
A symptom is something that has to be identified by an expert in the subject for example: the destruction of vascular cells under the skin caused by the bruise
Hope it’s clear, I took it 1.5 year ago and in a different language
you mean symptom according to the text following this
Correct
thank you ❤️
anyone good at retrosynthesis??? for organic chem
Is it but 2 yne or but 1 yne that give red precipitate when treated South ammoniacal curpous
When treated with*
could try
depends on the level of the question

9th is d
what are the signs and symptoms of tuberculosis?
I'm not too sure how to find P and Q
what are the rectangles
resistors
any other info given?
no
there has to be cuz V= I x R
and only I is given
add the 3 to get 1 single resistor
that's what i was thinking, too
i'm not sure if it's even possible
that's what
i'll try asking my teacher, thanks for trying to help though
p should be 1.2A
and q 0.2A
p 1.2 cuz resistor doesnt affect the current
and q 0.2 due to junction law
oh right, i forgot about that
great, thanks for the help
how is this the basis of this unit cell?
Parallel or series ? I think parallel because resistance proportional to heat but in answer key it was in series.

um a question to jee/neet aspirants:
how did you go about picking which entrance exam to crack? i'm currently in 11th and i am not sure what is right for me, i like both bio and math😭 wud love to hear your thoughts
I wanted to feel something
so I selected PCMB
but I did not like the feeling
so as to feel nothing again I joined allen
now I want to become nothing
so I am moving to kota
just choose based on what you wanna become professionally rather than what subjects you love (not like completely exclude them but you get what I mean) and choose your entrance exam to crack. As simple as that.
understandable
Are you sure you wanna do engineering/doctorate? make sure you leave other ends open because you never know when it'll hit that you chose wrong unless you are very much into it already.
IF there is no pressure from anyone like parents you should go what you like the best but I get it, "JEE", ik some friends who prepared for both and you can do it too cuz the physics and chem are pretty much the same, the workload comes on maths which you should just practice everyday how much you can, I did not take biology but from what I've heard people score easily there so you should be fine with sneaking that into your schedules
Guys is it just me or is this a printing mistake?
What is it that's bugging you here?
The 6 suddenly turned to 60
mass of earth
then it is obviously a typo
Yeah but I just wanted to double check
Are Images formed by convex lens laterally inverted?
It depends on the placement of the object... If the object is placed beyond focus, the image will be real and laterally inverted. If the object is placed between focus and centre of curvature of the convex lens, the image will be virtual but not laterally inverted.
oh thanks
Hey does anyone like have pdf for mtg fingerprints for physics?
does anyone know what formulas were used for this?:((
I'm really struggeling with solving this one, I have different numbers than my friend
,
i mentioned you to see my replies
can ya tell me important topics for class 10 science
carbon and it's compounds and light chapter
is this the motion of charged particles in a uniform magnetic field
@topaz pasture hm is there something you wish you had done?
@thorny gyro yeh that's a good thing to have in mind, had last final exam today, studying for the boards has been pretty easy
10th is easier than 9th
no lie
i am in 11 rn :)@thorny gyro
ohh im in 12th
yes
cool, all the very best
thanks a lot
Hello everyone, need help with Organic Chem and Electrolysis. Please help me😩
aye what is it
@thorny gyro I find it difficult to understand these topics
oh
in organic
try to find similarities and differences
A lot of reactions can get confused with each other which is very common so you need to learn or write them together so whenever you read you remember the specific differences
And having a broader picture in organic chem is much more helpful than learning in a specific way, try to draw reaction maps like write down a compound in the centre of the page and then from there write all the possible reactions with different reagents from that one compound
the differences are important here and they are very minute at times
this is an example
make these instead of writing down every reaction, saves time and easier to understand
Hi yall! Can someone help me find the optical rotation of this? (It's in french. It's question 5) idk how to do it. Thank you!
in 1 the chiral carbon on left has R configuration and the one on right has S configuration
you know R, S nomenclature right? the priority order and when its clockwise its R and S for anticlockwise
not sure about the one in 2nd tho
Hey, can anyone help me with this question? It's eating my entire brain up
We have to find current at i
try using kirchoff's rule and separating the circuits into 3 different loops
Man, i tried every rule that has existed, but i can't solve it
wait lemme try
i think i got it
you essentially assume this as a wheatstone bridge
and then ignore the 5ohms resistor in the middle
wait that also doesnt work 💀
It was so easy when my teacher was explaining it in the class but i don't know anything now lmao 💀
bro its kirchoffs but the calculation is messy
im about to finish it tho
gimme a sec
yooo got it
its actually way easier than i thought
you dont even need kirchoffs
Can you show the solution?
My brother in Christ, i still haven't got the answer
my man oh shit sorry T-T
i totally
i got carried away with something else 😭
wait so
but since
they asked current at that specific loop, you have to go through thr trouble of calculating induvidual current through each resistor given there
you do this
Hmmm
Nah
okay then
But in the question, i have to find the current through the 4 ohm resistor
The answer is 5/3
But how the answer came, i have no idea
Ayo bro, i think I'm onto something
I think my sir taught us a trick
Nah i don't think I figured it out.....
Shit okay
I didn't get the final answer tho
But then
The approach is right
Verified with a couple of friends
I asked someone else and this is how he solved it
ok shit i feel dumb now T_T
yo a small doubt
wont current divide equally only if you have equal resistances?
oh ok got it mb
the other part is also 10 ohms?
is that right
No, both are connected in parallel, that's why they got distributed equally
even if you connect in parallel, do currents get distributed equally to parallel circuits?
If you solve it, you get 10 ohm, but that's not why they get divided that way
Yeah, in parallel they do
Yeah
i still have doubts about the equally splitting part but nvm
Yo just checked with my teacher, he says current does not divide equally for a parallel circuit unless it has equal resistances
It doesn't?
Oh ok, it doesn't I'm just dumb
hi, i need help with this
I tried adding the ke and pe
but it dindt work and i tried just using both of them separately
Omega=√(spring constant/mass)
And then total energy=0.5xmassx(omega)^2x(Amplitude)^2
Didn't it work?
uh nah
i got 0.0223 n i alr checked its not the answer
don't forget to turn cm to meters and grams to kilograms
yea i did
this is the last problem i have left im prolly jus gonna askt eh teacher on monday but if u know waht to do lmki
what is the answer?
because 0.0223 is definitely correct
so probably the author of problem is wrong here
its UT quest
so its a website where teachers assign auto generated problems
and then u input it in
ion think ive ever had a issue wit it
wait it just worked
💀 sig digs
i thoguth my 2nd response was 0.223.........
really want to help but don't speak burrito, give a context
We know from sum of currents that Vx=20/3.
Also we know that if there is no current through 2 Om resistor, then Voc just equals 3Vx.
So 3*20/3=20
OHH WAIT HOLY SHIT IS IT JUST KVL
Ooooh thanks bro ❤️
It should be
burrito ?
that lenguage doesn't exist
you can maybe go to school
they don't teach there puss in boots language too
if you translate it to English people will help probably
Problem 1-Graph the following vectors using the indicated scale
rest don't need translate
Are these vectors 1D? Why is there only one value for each row? Such thing is named scalar. For the last question I think it's enough to say that Kgf is the force unit (The kilogram-force is equal to the magnitude of the force exerted on one kilogram of mass in a 9.80665 m/s2 gravitational field = 9.80665 N) and N is Newton, also force unit (It is equal to the force that would give a mass of one kilogram an acceleration of one metre per second per second)
So if these vectors are 1D and we can only speak about their magnitude without knowing their direction, the only thing we can say is that the length of 1st vector should be 140/70=2 cm; 2nd vector should be 120/40=3 cm; 3rd vector should be 500/100=5 cm and etc
and the direction of the vector ? how i get that ? (and thx for help me)
direction because we use arrows
ahh no
Idk where you can get direction of those vectors, if it's not stated as it should be then just make all these arrows horisontal
no problem

A small rock is thrown vertically upward with a speed of 27.0 m/s
from the edge of the roof of a 31.0-m
-tall building. The rock doesn't hit the building on its way back down and lands in the street below. Ignore air resistance.
What is the speed of the rock just before it hits the street?
Need some help guys, just wanna reach the vid for 500 views, (school related project)
Use v^2=u^2+2as
Put u=27m/s
a=-9.8m/s
s=-31.0m/s
And you should get v^2, then square root.
tyyyy
An object is moving along the x-axis. At t= 0 it is at x= 0. Its x-component of velocity vx as a function of time is given by vx(t)=αt−βt3, where α=7.6 m/s2 and β=3.2 m/s4. At what nonzero time t is the object again at x= 0?
what
I think you are not familiar with integrating but I am strongly not sure if there is a way to solve this in other way
no no ik how to integrate
cool
try it
send it
@dreamy spade
you did the same what I did
ok ok tysm
but you should mention that c=0 or don't even use it because integral is definite
yes good point
it's a matter of aesthetics
yes when u do definite integral dont use c...i will also advise to not use c in simple physics integration
What's the difference between a cell and a battery?
If battery is just consecutive cells stored to convert chemical energy into chemical, then why's battery written on a cell?
Guys can someone explain the IUPAC of this to me?
It's 3methylbut1yne and I don't get how
Guys pls help I have exam tmrw
- find the longest carbon chain that includes both carbons of the triple bond. (butyne)
- number the longest chain starting at the end closest to the triple bond (so 1, 2, 3, 4 but backwards than in the image) so it will be but1yne, because the triple bond is first
- then you have to label the substituent, we have methyl group at third, so it will be 3methylbut1yne
So the number is basically reversed in the image right
?
Prolly printing mistake
and then just put numbers in order from the first carbon with triple bond to the last carbon in chain
Alr thanks
as I know battery consists of cells but I am not sure
hey guys, I have a question. Does anybody know the structure of this molecule?
thanks!!
Ques is. Of formal charge
In this example of O3 the second or central oxygen atom forms a coordinate bond in which it donates e- to 3rd O . Sir made 7 e- for 3rd O which is wrong i guess should be 6 instead,
also sir included 6 electrons as shared electron when solving for Formal charge of 2nd Oxygen
Shouldn't there be 5 shared electrons ?
Similarly with the other ques of CO , shouldn't there be 5 shared electrons instead of 6
Where did 2- go
1 on each rhenium
4000 J for 1 kg by 2 degrees means you need 2 times less (2000 J) to raise temperature for 1 kg by 1 degree. For 5 kg multiply it by 5
should be D
Ohhh ahh I was overcomplicating it
Thanks guys :))
conc h2so4 will form a double bond ig and then h2 ni gives a hydrogenated product
hello, i have a chem question: what condition is necessary to prevent silver from oxidising in air?
ok i got it so ignore what’s above
so can anyone help me with 6.4? i managed all of the above but idk what to do whatsoever here
heyo im lookin for your notion notes to literally any subject of yours im tryna collect a big amount of data to make an overview over any subject that is out there and bring it together to a big pool of useful notes. If u feel like u could help me out please dm! PEACE
- absolute means not relative, in our case 346*2/100=6.92(approximately)=7 g
the range is obviously [346-7 g;346+7 g]=[339 g;353 g]
3)4) don't see full text
do you remember the formula to calculate gravitational force?
No
It'll probably be easier to help you if you show your answers for the previous questions
Bc you're supposed to use the answers from previous questions to solve it but I'm too lazy to do the whole thing
i get total current is 6sin(100pit)
but answer gives this??
what is desired current?
its asking i, current through 3ohm resistance not the total current in the circuit
i1 is the total current in the circuit, look at the diagram given
then current divides at the junction in the ratio of 1:2 in 6ohm resistance and 3ohm resistance by applying kirchhoff laws
how do i solve this?
What's analytical method?nodal analysis?
I think nodal will give u 1 eqn but if they ask for system use kcl and kvl. Dm me if ur stuck
system of equations for analytical method
im just trying to look for the voltage and current
using kirchhoff's
maybe under phet they mean this https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/circuit-construction-kit-dc-virtual-lab
Do you like Circuit Construction Kit: DC, but want to use only in-line ammeters? This is the sim for you! Experiment with an electronics kit. Build circuits with batteries, resistors, ideal and non-Ohmic light bulbs, fuses, and switches. kirchhoff equations is analytical method. If you solve these equations by matrix then this is matrix calculator method
Ah we called it differently the way I learned it
So basically they have given the weight of phosphorous which is 30.98g
all the phosphorous reacts with oxygen giving u some phosphorous oxide
so out of the 71g , 30.98 grams(~31 g) belong to phosphorous and the remaining 71-31 which is 40g belong to oxygen.Since you know molar masses and all that you can use them to do the 2 parts
hello. and i can't seem to fully understand the concept of molality and molarity. mind-boggling when solving.
What exactly do u not understand tho?
See in simple terms, Molarity is number of moles of the solute in 1L solution and molality is the number of moles of solute in 1kg solution
anyone have a answer
i thought i would just find centrip acceleration
by doing v^2 / r
why is i1 = i2 here?
Initial equation of pressure?
I guess because triangle doesn't consume currents
did you get an answer for this question yet?
if not i can try to explain it, i need a warmup for my own physics homework
Yea I used omega^2 * r
nice
it took me a second to remember what omega is bc in my physics class we nicknamed it wumbo lol
lmao wumbo
Hi, is there anywhere I can find images of botany slides? Like ELBD 028. I found the pdf for the list but there were no images

Hello
I've a question in quantum physics
How can I prove that N = aa+ is hermitian ?
.
Can I say that H= N + 1/2 so N is necessarily hermitian too ?
why dont you ask chat gpt?
Need a real explication, chat gpt isn't accurate on those subjects
can anybody recommend a really good physics youtube channel for pupils with all necessary knowledge of school program
with A you mean an operator?
all measurable operators are hermitian to have real eigenvalues with orthogonal eigenfunctions
I don't know the operators stuff, but with linear algebra: N+ = (aa+)+ = (you swap them and then apply hermetian to both. it makes sense if you imagine multiplying matricies) ((a+)+)(a+) = aa+ = N
Michel van Biezen is really good, he breaks things down and has dedicated videos to different problems.
Guys im getting the worst grades possible in easiest tests ever in physics. My friends are getting 8/10 and im getting 3/10💀 i feel so dumb. Any advice
Focus on applying information rather than try to commit to memory-PRACTICE!!! practice past papers or homework questions or textbook problems. Start with walk through tutorial questions so you can try to solve it then look at the solution and explanation. Look at YouTube channel such as Michel van Biezen for explanation and problem solutions. Hope this helps! Don't be discouraged by failure!
1st thing don't compare yourself to others not all have the same way of learning
and my advice is to do is solve as much as possible of problems and start with the easiest thing and make it harder over the time and try to solve older exams of your teacher/professor and search if he repeat a chapter that what you will have to focus on (pareto principle)
focus on with what topics you had the problems on the test
looks like he is only solving problems and not consistently goes from topic to topic.
I wonder if there is some channel like this https://m.youtube.com/@pvictor54
but in english, where there are even special playlists for every school topic with initially theory and then experiments and problem solving.

idk can it be?
what part of it can be negative?
ohh okey
in US probably it can be negative they measure everything in obamas per hamburger and somehow understand it
is 25 celcius equal to 25 kelvin? (i took notes in classroom last week i cannot understand my notes, i wrote something like this but idk whether it is true or not ) @dreamy spade
if it's possible for Celsius to be negative and not possible for Kelvins then they are not the same
25 Celsius equals 298 Kelvins approximately
if you are speaking about absolute temperature
thank u very much you are so cooperative
if you are speaking about temperature change, then change in 25 Kelvins is the same as change in 25 Celsius
how?
yess i have a problem in pasco
lemme send screenshot
80
in Fahrenheit i found
there only left kelvin
U can see that Celsius = Kelvins - 273.
So changing the temperature in 1 Kelvin is the same as change in 1 Celsius
Fahrenheit is for perverts
I am currently in russia
u are russian?
no
azerbaijani?
Celsius = Kelvins - 273
So 20°C are 293 K
and 25°C are 298 K
okey
no, nevermind
so difference is 5 kelvin
it appears to be the same (5) as for Celsius
yea it's my first language
аа пон
мда
at what exactly should I look
Tc= 25 etc in box
there is written that difference in Celsius is equal to the difference in Kelvins as you already understood
both are 25 for some certain situation that was discussed in your class probably
Mhmmm okayyyy
Got it
Just it's not mandatory stuff is it
Like in quiz and etc. I'll find by my own
idk of it's some quizz or smth
Alright thank u:)
How can homologous recombination favor the integration of multiple genes over a single gene into the chromosome?
Hello anyone here has a recommendation about geography books ? Specially for cultural geography. Or anything may help. Thankys!!
Easy
whatt is the physical significance of phi in simple harmonic motions, where x= A sin ( wt + phi) where phi is the initial phase, what is the physical significance of the initial phase
i believe that the initial phase means that at t=0 the wave has some height
if u search for a graphical interpretation it could help u a lot better
Check me since i haven't used this stuff since a year or so. So what phi does is it kind of parametrizes your starting position in SHM. Like if you are starting on the y-axis in a phasor diagram your initial phase will be pi/2. So for each starting position on the phasor you have a corresponding value of phi which tells you exactly where you are. And then the phasor diagram is kind of a way to breakdown the wave motion of a particle into a simple diagram which provides you with all the necessary information in one place.
bcs collision is elastic that means not only total momentum conserves, but also total energy doesn't disappear via friction or bending. The only way for similar bodies to satisfy both equations:
(For total momentum) m1v1+m2v2(before)=(after)m1v1+m2v2
(For total energy)
m1v1^2/2+m2v2^2/2(before)=(after)m1v1^2/2+m2v2^2/2
Is to just swap their velocites
can someone please help me with this?
looks like correct answer. He measured distance two times (point P and point Q) and their uncertainty adds, so paercentage = abs/value = 0.4/50.9
thank you
hi guys any advice on how to memorize kation and anions overnight

I would like to understand the purpose of designing this question
why????
you are not alone😂
But I think I can solve it with the help of coding
how u can code smth if u can't understand the question
I asked my teacher already via mail but embarassed bcs I should know this probably
hello! did anyone here study neuroscience?? I would like to ask some question about it
You can understand the basic concepts with the available documents and understand them step by step. In questions that I don't understand, I try to understand myself with code language
you'll amaze me if u do smth like this
The document available on the internet is more useful for me than the professor😂
Hey, this is an emergency, does someone know how we call this molecule ? I only need its name
Hey, I dunno if it helps, but my friend mentions it's an ester formed by a 2-hydroxyl phenyl acetic acid and a 3-hydroxyl butyrate
the name i'm not that sure
Thanks for your help, I synthetize this molecule from ethyl 3 hydroxybutyrate by an esterification of Stelgich. So for the hydroxybutyrate I'm sure. But if someone know the exact name it'll be amazing
This statement is false ryt?
obviously if it is true somebody just for trolling would make infinitely big charge to destroy our planet
Ikr I asked because in the book ans is true lol
I was wrong in a some way, we can build electron detectors using scintillators (some sort of photoelectric effect), while one fast high energy electron hits detector it takes more than one electron from the metal surface, that can be accelerated by high voltage and knock out even more electrons causing a chain reactions that is used in radiation detectors for example
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photomultiplier_tube
Photomultiplier tubes (photomultipliers or PMTs for short) are extremely sensitive detectors of light in the ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum. They are members of the class of vacuum tubes, more specifically vacuum phototubes. These detectors multiply the current produced by incident light by as much...
i guess my book was not wrong then 😂
but formulation there is very weird
I am doing qualitative analysis in chem lab and i have a double salt with Co2+, NH4 2+ and SO4 2-
How do i write the formula for it?
How do I identify pseudohalides?
Anyone up for Neet studies??
is anyone here rlly good at mechanics
i need like 15 mins of ur time for some qs help
Could someone clarify upto what point exactly is elastic force conservative ? internet shows it's valid upto wherever hooke's law is valid , by that logic it should be upto proportional point. But I kinda remember studying.....isn't it conservative upto elastic limit ?

can someone get this for me TT
yes
they generally have a Carbon and Nitrogen atom in them and they are not many so you can remember them easily there are some exceptions like azide ion which dont have carbon in it but is a pseudohalide.
it is conservative upto elastic limit or proportionality point i think beyond that it is not conservative in nature.
thanks!
Thanks 🙆
FLUIDS DYNAMICS, in capillarity where the capillary tube is made up of 2 different materials, will the liquid EVER flow into the second material or it will just keep adjusting the radius of curvature of the first material, what will happen if radius of curvature is maximized for the first material?
ps: this is a type of question based on this, I DONT WANT THIS QUESTION's SOLUTION, just the concept is applied here in option 2, THANKYOU.
how would i go about balancing this
H2 + Ca(CN)2 + NaAlF4 + FeSO4 + MgSiO3 + KI + H3PO4 + PbCrO4 + H3PO4 +
PbCrO4 + BrCl + CF2Cl2 + SO2 =
PbBr2 + CrCl3 + MgCO3 + KAl(OH)4 + Fe(SCN)3 + Pl3 + Na2SiO3 + CaF2 + H2O
thank you!! ^^
H2 + Ca(CN)2 + NaAlF4 + FeSO4 + MgSiO3 + KI + 2H3PO4 + 2PbCrO4 + BrCl + CF2Cl2 + SO2 = PbBr2 + 3CrCl3 + MgCO3 + KAl(OH)4 + Fe(SCN)3 + 3PbI2 + Na2SiO3 + CaF2 + 4H2O
i think the radius will just adjust and the water should not go in the 2nd capillary in case 2 but i am also not sure abt this.
I saw a ques which might help you
H, N, and O are still unbalanced
sorry I just copied it from AI

Can someone please help me with part b
F_{horizontal}-F_{friction}=mass×acceleration
Initially acceleration was 0 so we can find F_{friction}=F_{horizontal}=P×cos(40)
From the other side F_{friction}=k×F_{vertical}=k×(P×sin(40)+mg), so k(friction coefficient)=F_{horizontal}/F_{vertical}=P×cos(40)/(P×sin(40)+mg) (calculate it yourself I am lazy)
Then we change P, let's say now it's P', so friction also will change:
F_{horizontal}-F_{friction}=mass×acceleration=18kg×1.2 ms^{-1}/2 s
from the other side F_{friction}=k×F_{vertical}=k×(P'×sin(40)+mg) so
P'cos(40)-k×(P'×sin(40)+mg)=mass×acceleration=18kg×1.2 ms^{-1}/2 s
or
P'(cos(40)-k×sin(40))=mass×acceleration+k×mg
therefore
P'=(mass×acceleration+k×mg)/(cos(40)-k×sin(40))
does anybody have good source to learn about a level electricity, I really struggle with the questions, thanks

If I have a white water bottle and a black water bottle, which will keep my water cold longer? Why?
-
How does color influence insulated products like reusable water bottles and tupperware?
a white water bottle will keep the water cold for a longer period of time because black and other dark colors tend to absorb heat.
well for the 2nd question i don't think colors affect much as they are transparent anywas, but generally dark colours absorb more heat
yuck physics
for part b, im not sure why they resolved 19g by sin23 insteadd of cos23, is it the fact the blocks do not slip at any time on the belt?
thank you, just forgot how basic trig worked 🙂
Why are you even considering vertical component of P? Horizontal component is what helping in motion.
You can't equate Friction with Vertical component of Applied force (P). There is no relation between them. Friction always act along the surface. Be it static or kinetic friction.
friction depends on the force you press your body to the surface. You can remember situations where you unintentionally press stuff to the surfaces stronger to increase friction. Friction is proportional (in the simplest model) to the vertical forces with some coefficient k
that's where vertical components of forces appear
Oh yeaaaaa
kinetic friction depends on Normal force
which is a vertical force
I mean it's always perpendicular to the surface
Est-ce que peut quelqu’un peut m’aider sur ça?
J’essaye d’apprendre ce sujet moi-même et je ne peux pas pu trouver les répondes en français…
can you at least make an effort a bit to translate your question to be understandable for people that want to help you?
can someone help me with integration
depends on what you integrate
people can only if you post a picture and ask question. None here can do telekenesis
he asked if someone could help him and that he tried to learn the subject but he can't find answers in french
no u can translate the assignment also
- endothermic

- 400kJ
- 100kJ
this will help you a little bit
Thank you so much @south turret
French is not my first language. I studied the subjet in my mother tongue but had hard time to translate or find the correct answers in French. This is why I asked it in that way mate
what will be the bond angle in drago compounds? do all atoms lie in 1 plane?

How many grams of O is contained in
69.1 g of K2CO3?
A. 24.0 g
B. 36.0 g
C. 12.0 g
It would be A right? just want to confirm
A is the correct answer
Appreciate that 🫡
Can someone please help me to this question until find the output equation? thankss
consider currents and voltages here as complex vectors
as always they are connected to each other by Ohm law
but capacitor and coil have complex resistances, u can google them
so just write kirhgof equations for this circuit
aaa I see. okayy thank youu!!
Based on the data in this graph, which of the following methods would be used to calculate the percent change of wind energy generated from 2010 to 2015?
b is correct
change is ending result - initial result=200-100
and then u need to divide over initial result and multiply by 100 to get percents
Thank you so much!
Hello I need help understanding this Electrical Circuit
From what I understand, in the Left Inside Loop, The Voltage Rises with 50V and is equal to the Voltage Drop 5(I1) + 20(I3) .
Because the Left Inside Loop is clockwise?
- to +?
50V is equal to the resistance of 5 Ohms * I1?
and for the Right Inside Loop, The Voltage Rise is 30V + 10 (I2) + 20 (I3) and is equal to The Voltage Drop 0
but why? because counter clockwise?
yeah because that
it's a bit dumb approach never seen like that
u just go (while holding a charge) in the chosen direction (clockwise) and measure if you make positive work or negative on each element
and those weirdos put positive in one column and negative in another
i think it's because the idea is that it's using Linear Algebra to find the currents in the circuit, using Matrices to find the Currents.
yeah I know how solve for the Current using matrices and it looks correct, but my problem now is "how to read electrical circuit and write the equations"
Why the Right Inside Loop has the
Voltage Rises: 30 + 10(I2) + 20(I3)
Voltage Drop: 0
why is that?
why isn't it
Voltage Rises: 30
Voltage Drop: 10(I2) + 20(I3)
bro imagine u hold the charge in ur hands like heavy rock
if u carry it against the current u r going against field direction
u r making positive work
to bring ur charge on the top of energy mountain
that's why it's voltage rise not drop
that's why it's important which direction u are going, against current or alongside it
Question
should The Right Inside Loop be:
0(I1) - 2(I2) + 4(I3) = 8
instead of
0(I1) + 2(I2) + 4(I3) = 8
because I1 also share the 2 resistor and the I1 current is opposing the I2 current?
I1 isn't related in any way to right loop. There are only currents I2 and I3. Let's assume we will walk clockwise on this loop and check what work we are doing to carry a charge:
work=I3×4Ohms+I2×2Ohms-8V=0
in total the work should be zero because we returned the charge to the point where we got it (charge should return on the same "energy height"). We took 8V with negative sign because jumping from + side to - side (from higher potential/ higher height to lower) obviously gave us energy instead of requiring work.

I need help with this Fluorescence analysis and Liquid Liquid separation (Chem related) Question
do insulators also transfer electrons? if yes then what is the simple difference between conductors and insulators both by definitive way and practical way if insulators also transfer e-
Can any1 help me with this Redox question pls
How do I calculate the ratio between the two metals?
Insulator is a type of material, it doesn't conduct electricity but because everything in our life isn't perfect, insulators conduct electricity but very badly. Conductors by definition conduct electricity but much better than insulators. The difference is quantitative and very big.
Insulators or bad conductors don’t have as many free electrons as good conductors. Their atoms have tightly bound electrons which limits the flow of electricity as the electrons cannot travel from one atom to the other
A conductor on the other hand, has free electrons and very little resistance, so, when a battery is connected, electricity flows through the conductor with very little resistance i.e. the electrons can move from one atom to the other easily
Anyone knows how to determine the direction of friction in a circular motion?
say in this picture, the car is moving to the left, and friction is acting to the left too. Why is that so?
this is very bad picture
here u can see that if the car is moving on the right, the wheel need to slide to the left at the point of contact with the earth. Friction acts against relative motion at the contact point, so friction will be also directed to the right side and will help car to move. That's why it's so important for vehicles to have good friction with the ground, or instead wheel would slip
Thank you so much!
why here (iii) will be highest?
also also also among b and c, which will be more stable and why
because of resonance with no2 group ig
which would make it more stable as compared to others
is b more stable?
c
well i mean its based on +I effect of ethyl groups in b and methyl+propyl group in c
idk which one has a greater +I effect tho
answer should be only (ii) right? cuz other structures are not possible due to bredt's rule
wtf is bredt's rule lol
never read that in my jee prep
anyways they all can exhibit tautomerism
one or the other alpha carbon has a free hydrogen so a double bond is possible
lol which class
Anyone suggest me a good video to understand mole concept
how
how do you identify if a combustion if complete or incomplete? Im asked to predict the products but i dont even know if its complete or incomplete combustion
HEEEELP
its complete if all of the oxygen is burnout
the campbell biology is a pretty good book. u can find a pdf online i recommend it
i dont know what you mean'
like if u have enough oxygen to complete the reaction, all of it will be used
can you show illustrations
2 examples of compelte and incomplete
doesnt make sense. they have same reactants
and the incompelte one is missing one product which is the carbon(s)
but its not about the reactants its about the product
but how do you know those are the products???
you cant just guess
😭
C2H5OH + O2 -->
C2H5OH + O2 -->
apparently first one is comeplte and second is incomplete
the question says that?
yes well it definitely wont say in the quiz so
im just tryna figure out how
so if it is complete, u know that all of the oxygen its used
its driving me CrAzYYYY
u cant know just with the reactions the question must say it
but WHAT IF theres no 'instructions' saing what type of combustion they are
i dont think my teacher is tha lenient
than u dont do it
😭
it’s literally impossible my dude just chill
your professor will provide u with enough information
thats why i ahte his class
he aint a prof
lmao
he prolly wishes to be
but ok
@prisma spear
also is this correct
CuCl2 + 2KOH --> Cu(OH)2 + 2KCl
isnt this neutrlization since theres OH as reactant and hence its a base so it should yield water + salt
the equation is correct
idk bro i study cinema
but im pretty sure that’s and ionic thing and u have to have acid + base to have a neutralization
CuCl2 is not an acid
ok
try some youtube videos about the basics i think u are kinda confused about all the terminology and fuck chemistry
it should be easier to do the questions later
can someone help me with this question ASAP!!😭😭
Bredt's rule isn't applicable here!! It's only applicable on bridged bicyclic right while this is just a fused bicyclic cmpd. (2C directly connected)
Moreover there's no strain at the bhc
thank you YOU, didnt expect you to answer haha, THANKS!!!
Haha hope that helped
Saw ur text wen I wanted to get a dbt cleared out but ppl on telegram helped me with it already :))
any tips on memorizing the periodic table?
learn it like it's a song
hello!! this is probs v simple and I'm just not getting it but I'm doing a level chemistry and currently revising aldehydes/ketones.. its basically the reactions with cyanides ions.. is anyone able to explain to me how the product can go from a hydroxy nitrile to an amino acid😭 why is there chlorine idk man it just isn't clicking rn
??????????????????????????????????
apparently so.. whats the question
i got the answer
lavley
are you talking about cyanohydrin?
this is what it says in my notes and i just don’t get how that happens.. theres a question below that asks how 2-hydroxypropanoic acid can be synthesised from ethanol and im assuming its the same way as the example above but i dont get how the example even works
those are ig substitution reactions and conversion of nitrile to carboxylic group
and for the conversion ig you have to make ethanal from ethanol first by PCC or CrO3 then you can add HCN to make the hydroxynitrile compound and then its the same as given in the example
ok kinda makes sense thank u!
I had a question its kinda based on chemistry but has a lot to do with math as well
Q1. Someone gifted me 1 mol rupees ( currency ). Where according to avogadros number 1 mol is 6.022 * 10 raised to 23. I spend 100,000 rupees per second. How many Years can i spent this amount of money for. Compare this year to the relative age of the earth.
Its hella confusing a quick answer would be very helpful. Also uploaded on maths channed as its kina revolving around maths as well Thank you.
for more context this is earths age in numbers 4534000000 ( also as an assumption as calculation with real age is madness and too complicated )
I got some ridiculous answer and i believe its wrong its (115.50 * 10 raised to 4 times current age of earth is the amount of time will be the amount of time i will be able to spend the money for)
I got the answer around 42 years acc to age of earth that u mentioned
Ok so mine is pretty wrong can you send a picture of the solution that will be very helpful
it's definitely incorrect, the answer should be unimaginably big like the one Dwij called ridiculous
Idk I just did it with calculator so ..
I really don't know if calculator can be incorrect
Ok
Took 100k multiplied it with 60 2 times to get money spent in hours
How did you calculate the seconds i did like first devised the amount of money divided by seconds
Then multiplied it with 24 to get it in a day and then 365 for money spent in 1 year
It is per second
Ya
In really don't know how can you divide the number with 23 zeros over number with 5 zeros and get smth not with 18 zeros
So like 100k in 1 second and 6000k in 1 minute
And then 360000k in 1 hour
Which is 3.6×10^7
You need to find it in years first
Multiply it with 24 and 365
I will do the calculations once again and give a photo
there are 31 million of seconds in year, so number with 18 zeros I have to additionally divide over number with 6 zeros and get smth with 12 zeros
Idk man I just did simple calculative maths lol
See I did the calculations by hand as the exams I am preparing for has no calculators
So mine might have been wrong
Ok thank you for the help
Not necessary man you already game me an outcome so I will try to get that too
Ya man it’s such a stupid question according to me
So time consuming for a 3 hours long exam
Hopefully this type is not covered as without calculators it’s really a nightmare
It's alright
It definitely is
You giving jee/neet or smth
Jee
Does anyone know the value of the apparent speed of rotation of the sun ?
Hope this helps
Thx a lot idk y but in french i dont find those answers
Thank you
Can anyone tell me which side has the more number of moles? I'm confused cause it's a balanced equation
the mole is just a unit to measure big amounts. For example when you are at store, you don't buy nuts one by one, you buy it in cups for example. The same is for mole, it's a cup, containing 6*10^23 molecules. In your reaction one molecule of N2 reacts with 3 molecules of H2 and 2 molecules of NH3 appear. If we scale this to our "cups", that means we need one mole of N2 and 3 moles of H2 to get 2 moles of NH3
So if the pressure shifts to the side with the less number of moles that means it shifts to the right, right?
An increase in pressure= shift to right
Decrease is opposite
?
it's hard to say because pressure depends not only on concentration, but also on temperature (p=nkT). If reaction shifts to the right, then concentration of molecules decreases, but temperature can rise because reaction is exothermic so I can't clearly say what will happen with pressure
but if we externally apply pressure ie more pressure the reaction will favour forward, ryt? because the Ng is more in left hand side than right according to le chatelier's principle
Woah this explanation was good I only knew the technical terms but thanks for the brief explanation
if you do it under certain temperature then definitely yes
Ah yes under constant temperature
heyy!! is someone good at organic chemistry there?
whats the question?
Could someone explain why this is incorrect? I'm struggling with chem😭
its dimethyl not nly methyl
Oh... is that because there's one in 3 and 5 so two branches?
there are two methyl grps so u call it dimethyl
if there are three its called trimethyl and so on
aha.. thank you so much😭 I'm so sorry but do you also know how to solve for these too?
k wait
the second one diagram is not clear
the second one if there are nly 4 carbon atoms it shud be called 2 methyl propane
Ohhhhhhh Thaaaaank youuuuu......... You're my savior!!!!
Sorry to keep bothering you🥺 how do we know it's 4-methylheptane without any graph?
i drew the chain in the pic ryt
also whats a graph
Oh yea I mean the chain! How were you able to draw it just looking at the information that 2-propylpentane is an incorrect IUPAC name?🤔
pentane is a 5 carbon chain and propyl grp is in the second carbon of pentane
draw it
AHHHHH now I see!! So it's like rewriting the name
Thank you thank you I'm clear now/🙆♀️
yup just practise it will become easy
@dreamy spade @lavish obsidian @wanton aurora The teacher got this as the answer its confusing so i will give up on this question thank you for your help
can someone help w this
why is the answer not just D considering the mass will execute projectile motion after the string is cut off
and for maximum range the angle must be 45 degrees
That's wrong to apply here what you have to do is find the value of horizontal distance travelled i.e. (range) in terms of theta and then find the value of theta in which case range will be maximum
You can do that by applying energy conservation at that point P and hence find velocity and then range can be found by simple projectile motion
oh right
alright i'll try again thank you!

is someone good at saponification ?
Can anyone help me w electronic configuration
just post your question
S level has maximum 2 electrons, P level has 6 electrons, D level can have 10 electrons and F level can have 14 electrons. So the last level of that element have to be F (some heavy element) and also 4 electrons (negative particles) should be added. Looks like the answer is (b)
But I'm not sure lemme check that
so if it loses 1 e it will have 18 e in the outermost shell
Thank u so much
Could you please tell me how to find out the number of electrons in the shell, if the electronic configuration is given in terms of subshell.
For example thorium
add up the numbers in the superscript of the subshells

https://byjus.com/question-answer/c-6h-5-underset-oh-underset-c-h-ch-ch-2-hbr-to-major-product/
Why is Br- added to the Primary carbocation and not the secondary carbocation?
C6H5 OH|CH CH=CH2+HBr
Because of the presence of an adjacent electron-donating group like the phenol group. A primary carbocations will be more stable than secondary carbocations.
is my reasoning correct?
If Br adds to secondary carbocation, alpha Hydrogen is 1
and if Br adds to primary carbocation, alpha Hydrogen is 2
so according to Saytzeff rule more stable alkene will be when Br adds to primary carbocation
partially correct, but the conclusion drawn from it may not always be true.
I will explain it in a moment
okay better dm me
The preference for Br- addition to primary or secondary carbocation is also influenced by other factors, such as the stability of the carbocation intermediate and the nature of the attacking nucleophile.
For example, in the case of HBr addition to an alkene, Br- is a stronger nucleophile than H2O, and therefore, it can attack a primary carbocation more easily than a secondary carbocation.
Another classic example would be the reaction between 2-butene and HBr, the more stable product is 2-bromobutane
@thorny gyro
thats saytzeff
Let me rephrase
thanks for tryin tho...I think my teacher can clear that out
Simple way of saying is Saytzeff rule is not applicable to all reactions involving alkenes.

help me understand why, in chemical equations we write atoms with a subscript of 2 or more and other times we dont
i.e,
Na2+Cl2 -> 2NaCl
Ca+Cl2 -> CaCl2
they aren't atoms, they are molecules formed by 2 atoms, which how the element is commonly found in nature
you don't have O atoms flying around, but you surely have O2 molecules all over the place
how would i know which elements are like that and which arent
i see
generally gasses are like that
but don't worry too much about it
pfft this was funny
it becomes critical when balancing redox reactions
when you're balacing reactions you are already given if the element is in pairs of 2 or single
right so, during redox reactions do i treat a radical like how i would treat an atom in compound?
like if the oxidation no of an atom changes i show that during half reduction/oxidation
but if oxidation no of a radical changes do i show the entire radical or the atom whose oxidation no changed?
thats if they give the reactions, sometimes they just say x element reactions with y element and show half oxidation and reduction

Could anyone help me naming these?🥹
- but-2-yne
- cyclopentanol

thank you...😭
could i get some help with this one
Im not sure if i understand the logic behind this q, can someone help me with that?
in a system like this (the container on the right side is empty) when the faucet on the right is opened, the vapor pressure does not change but the amount of H2O gas molecules increases. how does that happen? i'd appreciate it if you could help, thank you

How many maximum atoms lie in the same plane in toluene?
13 ig
yes thats the ans ..can u explain how one of the hydrogen of Ch3 group also lies in plane?it should be out of plane as Ch3 is tetrahedral
because of tetrahedral geometry
like
wait
you see the hydrogen on the left and top lie in the same plane
the other two wont
like this you can take more pairs where 2 hydrogen lie on same plane and the other two wont
Thanks for the help...keep it up
In chemistry, sometimes they have R group
Could it be any random group? bc R group is different for everytime🤔
R group signifies alkyl group
bro doesn't even ask anything or say please, he just puts his problem statement into automatic solving machine
don't forget to check if I've mistaken
thank you!!
Um sorry
I was studying at that particular time
So I just shared the question
I thought it was obvious that it was a doubt for me
I should have said please
my bad
I can't understand this fully
Can you please explain a Lil bit what you did in 1 and 2?
And what does the O symbol and Ō symbol means?
What does a dot above s bracket denotes?
And the answer given is 0.01
But I am still interested in the method
Q is charge, dot means time derivative
Oh ok
Yes
we can write current like time derivative of charge on capacitor
so we are getting differential equation for charge in capacitor
U=QC+dot(Q)R
and then I just solve it independetly for t and t^2 bcs equation is linear and solutions for t and t^2 in total would give a solution for t+t^2
Oh
I see
This is a new method for me
i don't know if it's correct I just invented this method
I am trying to understand this
I need sometime
But thanks for the help!
I appreciate it
you can ask if you don't understand
Okay :)
Hi! I have a question about alkynes. How do we know the angle of the line structure? For example, I understand that 2 to 5 is straight because it is alkynes, but for 5, why is it going down not up? Or does it not matter?
doesnt really matter, it only matters when there is a chiral compound/stereochemistry involved
thank you!!
current just after closing the switch. Would it be 2 A ?
coil can't instantly allow current to flow through it, so it will be just two 5 ohm resistors (10 in total). Then use Ohm law to find current
so, since one 5 ohm resistor is connected in parallel, the inductor will have no effect on it?
coil can't conduct current at this moment, just imagine that it doesn't exist lol
and if the cuurent was flowing for a long time, then how will it be calculated?
for a long time current will stabilize on coil. It means voltage on coil will become zero and now nothing will flow through parallel resistor. You can imagine that parallel resistor doesn't exist. For not a long and not instant time you have to solve differential equation
ooh... thanks, these circuits have been bothering me for a while now
if parallel resistor doesn't exist and coil doesn't take voltage anymore total current will be 10V/5ohms=2 Ampers
thanks again
could i get some help with this one?
13?
the springs are in a series combination and effective spring constant would be 3k/4 then we can assume it as a single spring then just using the equation F=ma=-3kx/4 , a=-(3k/4m)x
we'll get angular freq = root(3k/4m)
they are in parallel though..
series would imply them both being connected successively
they are not in parallel, they are in series
they are literally connected
Can someone explain this? Acc to me, it should be pi sqrt m/k but i just put the values in the formula. Is there anything else to do in the question?
thats not how series works bruh
that's how they work
it's litteraly one after another
they don't have the same start point
it can rotate
if it were series wouldnt the springs be one below the other
it's one below the other
i feel like im not visualising it right
don't just look for analogies in the pictures
think what makes series connection series
in series connection forces of springs are equal and deformation adds
in parallel connection forces of springs add and deformation is equal
I hope you see that in your case one spring have the same force as the second one because they are connected by a rope
and also because of this rope their deformation will add
right
i think i get it
thank you!
Can someone help me with finding moment of inertia around axis 3 pls?
I already have find out the moment of inertia around axis 1 and 2
Which are
Axis 1 - 2MR²/5
Axis 2 - 83MR²/320
I know theorem of perpendicular or parallel axis will be used
But idk how
Hello if instantaneous velocity is upward, does that necessarily mean speed of elevator is increasing?
Velocity doesn't matters to determine if speed is increasing or decreasing
It's the acceleration
Velocity can be upward or downward
But the magnitude of velocity (which is also known as speed) can remain constant
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/mi2.html#rlin"
Hope this helps I don't really know it myself.
the actual weight should come out to be 1.5N
but if the reading is less than that it means there's a pseudoforce on the object in a direction opposite to mg , so the lift must have a downward acceleration which will give a pseudoforce in the upward direction
so I would say the speed is decreasing
I think you’re right thank you!
in a chemistry exercise, they gave me to balance using the ion-electron method (KMnO4 + H2O2===>MnSO4 +O2 + K2SO4 + H2O sulfuric acid medium) but in the correction they add H2SO4 in the reactive which isn't mentioned in the exercise. my question, how or why they added it????
is there anyone who does physics that can help me with this question? for A i got 1082.4 nm multiple times and it was incorrect and i have no idea how to do B
Butyric acid contains only C , H and O. A 4.24mg sample of butyric acid is completely burned. It gives 8.45mg of carbon dioxide(CO2)
The molecular mass of butyric acid was determined by experiment to be 88. What is the molecular formula ?
Can anyone help me with this pls.
I need some explanation
Write down the information you have, it is useful to think of a strategy for the solution.
You have weight of CO2, and weight of the molecule C_xH_yO_z, let's call it A.
You are given the molecular weight of A and can easily find out for CO2.
Use this to calculate the moles of A and the moles of CO2. The sample is completely burned, therefore nCO2 = nC.
Then find the ratio of C moles and A moles, and you will find x.
You will find y and z by the remaining "available weight" of the molecular weight of A. There will be multiple possibilities for y and z but only one that makes sense structurally.
hello can some one help me with Basic electricity
I can
can anyone help me with my numericals?
I would use the left hand rule ( I don’t know how it is called in English). The magnetic impulse will go from north to south. And the I goes down. So Lorentz force goes into the screen i think.
I think like this.
I may be wrong, it has been a long time 🙂
thank you!
Thank you so much
hi anyone can recommend me with anything to improve electronic .i suck at it
A diverging mirror of radius of curvature 40 cm forms an image which is half the height of the object. Find the object and image positions
does anyone know any good extra curricular activities i could do to beef up my personal statement. I want to major in computer engineering like James
thts cool man
thanksss
But how
Biology: 1. How can I find endonuclease cleavage sites in a gene sequence?
2. How do I find a suitable plasmid in which the given region can be expressed?
I'm a chemistry student I am so fucking lost
Thank you so much my man
