Favourite study playlists on YouTube?
I saw someone reccomend having different playlists for each subject so bonus for not classical music or lofi lol
I only go for brainpower classical music
👍
😭
can someone help me with trig identity pls
help
hmm, first of all, you can't define transformation of a point with such an equation
when you define transformation on 2d plane, you write rules for both coordinates x and y, for example
(x,y) -> (x+2, y-3)
How are they going to define transformation with this equation, where you map x to y, idk
this is formally incorrect
so the question is wrong?
This is transformation. You map old x to new x+2, old y to new y-3.
is the tmap rule
(x,y) --> (x-25, -2y-230)?
can you confirm
you mean in general or for this specific problem?
this problem
so i subed the x and y coordinate into the t map rule and got
(-21,-1480)
im guessing this is the new coordinate/answer?
uh
i can't confirm nor disprove it because the question is wrong
i think what they meant you do to is that
here there're vertical translation -230, horizontal translation right +25
but its asking for new coordinate not explain the transformation
= 5ˣ
reflection over y-axis
y = (1/5)ˣ
horizontal shift left 25
y = (1/5)^(x+25)
vertical stretch -2
y = -2(1/5)^(x+25)
vertical translation down -230
y = -2(1/5)^(x+25) - 230
lol thats not "new coordinate"
did you get the answer??
yes
correct
russian?
pprivet
@young umbra (4, 625)
reflection over y-axis
(-4, 625)
horizontal shift 25 left
(-29, 625)
vertical stretch -2
(-29, -1250)
vertical translation down 230
(-29, -1480)
you were close to my answerrr
so my t mpa rule is wrong?
its not x-25?
(x+25)
x=-25
x=4
4-25
=-21
ayo this method is correct
base graph not 1/5?
we have to make the given question(for which solution must be done) mostly in terms of the question given
huh?

MAKE the trasfromation eqn similar to the given eqn in this type of questions

Does anyone have tips on how to memorize your notes?
@frail torrent
Thank you
Association with images from places you are familiar with works really good.
There is like book on memorization which recommends imagining as you walk in your house/apartment and then associate stuff with familiar items.
Learned 2 foreign languages in similar fashion as well (by simple image association, where you associate one feature from the image that can sound like the word you try to memorize, you have to improvise here though :).
Thank you, I'm studying for my history final
So I have to memorize and know a ton of terms
I think it’s really difficult to explain math in text…
yeah
guys is energy only in the form of photons. I mean released and absorbed only in the form of photons?
ohh mb
is there someone to help about my solidworks sketch?
I’m applying to an international school for college. My dream school. Part of the application process includes an interview. Here are the questions I’m told to expect:
-
Reflect on an idea or experience that makes you genuinely excited about learning.
Here, I can talk about the medical science classes I took in high school, the EMT class I took, and my experience being in an ER and ambulance - both requirements for EMT class. -
What are some significant life lessons you have learned and values you hold dear that somehow define who you are?
I’ll have to look deep within this one. -
What does it mean “to make a difference?”
This is the hardest for me.
Anyone got any college interview tips? Serious answers only please. Thank you guys!
How does it feel when you tell your parents you have adhd but they blame you for your repeated academic failures, remind you about them and tell you 'adhd' is another excuse just like their failing marriage impacting you was ?
I knew about my adhd since 2019, but i was escaping it as i was scared of it. Then a lot of shit happened. And now when i disclosed to my parents, they think i am using it as an excuse to appear in my medical school entrance exam once again. It's crazy how i have been knocking on a closed door for years, don't learn my lesson and keep coming back to it because it is 'my home'. Crowns don't have home, they just have to shine. 🙂
Sorry for the rant. I am just frustrated about everything. 🙂
When I was doing this (college in another country which I got accepted and studied) I highlighted previous experiences and side-projects to what major I was applying to.
My major was CS, so I referenced projects I did.
It is also important to read school policy and general attitude towards certain topics and try not to raise any red flags.
Basically what they want to know is that you actually successfully accomplish your studies and you will fit well with other students.
- good
- I would put something like importance of education, hard work and socialization with other people
- Something along the lines that helps society in general.
Use chat gpt it gives great answers
does anyone get thoughts in their head while studying like how do i deal with it i feel like my focus is not high
Same here
same bro lmk if u find smth
does anyone know what model boox tablet james uses?
yeah that's the challenge with studying, but it gets better with time
hi you can find them on vlog video’s pinned comment

Stop focusing on the destination, but on the process.

Even if the process is difficult, it is necessary to tell yourself that the process is easy and pleasant, this way you will increase the amount of energy in your body and in your mind, and every time you attend that activity you will have more energy for performing it.

How do you read your textbooks, is sq3r that effective? I am having a hard time retaining what I read.
Try engaging with the text as much as possible either by annotations/writing notes, personalizing it/tying it to things in your life, use the feymann technique after completing a section, etc...
also it might be a good idea to change up your study methods, sometimes different topics require a different study angle
I just write the important points separately either on the top of the same page or bottom of the page (sometimes even on sides)
Confront yourself
That is talk to yourself...sit idle and tell your mind to play all the thoughts going on.... you'll see that now your mind is quite.
Do this it'll help you keep your thought on hold while studying
guys please mention me or add me if u want to answer this , i am a 19 years old after studying cs for like 2 years i learned alot of things (webdev(html css js php sql i like it and i want to learn 3d web design) python i learned alot about algorithms sorting resistivity pyqt i like problem solving ) i feel like idk what do in university because i am not good at anything like i am just decently good can you guys please suggest any free courses or advise to excel my programming skills or roadmaps i should take and thanks in advance (edited)
Do you guys ever struggle with maintaining a good sleep schedule with studying and workouts
Especially when school is almost half the day
I feel like im doing my best but at times i just feel kinda like im losing control over everything when i make a small mistake
Especially with random misfortunes such as house chores, pop quizes at school and others
I also feel bad at times knowing that i could optimize the usage of my times quite a bit more than now but when it comes down to it I never really follow through
I'd suggest to try to learn cloud infrastracture, since you are already know some webdev. Because most companies now do require from devs to know at least some cloud engineering to actually set up and deploy projects. Things like infrastructure-as-code. Some companies split devs and devops people, but nowadays they want both in one person.
There are ton of videos on youtube, but I'd suggest just reading documentation (e.g. of aws -> biggest cloud provider).
i didn't know what cloud infrastracture was but i found this course online do you suggest it https://cloud.google.com/learn/training/cloud-infrastructure
It is GCP (Google Cloud), one of the three major cloud providers. I would choose AWS, because it is the biggest player, hence a lot of jobs require knowledge of AWS.
You can start here:
https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/build-serverless-web-app-lambda-apigateway-s3-dynamodb-cognito/
thanks
anytime.
Just today I put a bot i wrote on my AWS infrastructure. It generates daily some random tech/programming facts/advices with AI and sends it to discord server.
Once you have some knowledge on the cloud, it is pretty easy to actually build stuff and deploy. Good thing, for small projects it costs nothing.
no
Meditation can help with that. Like not in the sense that you meditate when you are thinking too much, but in the morning as a habit, it can be like a training to empty your mind... and anyway it makes you more peaceful and in control in general. But it can take a little time to do efficient meditations. And some ppl can't bring themselves to meditate too lol, myself some days I only do 2 minutes to keep the habit
💀 .
hello, I'm going to 9th grade, it's summer break at this current, I want to be the top #1 highest score student in 9th grade, because everyone made fun of my breakdown how I went from the smartest student to the lowest score etc.. is it a good idea for me to start studying already in summer break ?
the world doesn't revolve around school and your friends, there are more than 8 billion people and most probably your friends are in the dumbest tier, instead of studying, get experience and knowledge that will add something to you
Dumb side note: it's not bcs you're smart or not but bcs you know how to work lol
tbh with both of you, I work really hard towards my dreams, like programming, gym, reading books, art etc.. but I just feel bad to ignore my grades
I'm stuck in the middle somehow, I don't know whether to better my grades or continue following my dreams, because good grades can increase my reputation
idk around yall but in my country if you don't get good grades at school/college, you're just unproductive and wasting time
nqa are you from india?
no
ok
well dependant on how important your grades are i think you should gauge off that man
because in some countries grades are life or death, as in like the border between poverty and a comfortable life
if grades make or break your future, sacrifice your personal interests temporarily and focus on studies
or dont completely remove it
put it on a back burner
then start getting back to it once the education grind eases off
youre not that old, you got a lot of time to use
I'm sure you know what's best, it can take a little bit of imagination but you can do a lot of things with good and consistent habits. If it's important to you or for your future/comfort in regard of your parents then it can be a good idea to do a little more efforts for your grades. You don't have to be #1 unless it's important to you (be honest and true to yourself, you got this 💪👍)
just remember to prioritize what is important for your future
15
yeah you got time bruv
just put your fun hobbies in the back burner
exercise every day tho
keep up the gym
no, consumed 15 years of his 50 years :( as we age, the brain undergoes changes, potentially leading to decreased cognitive abilities, including a potential decline in energy levels. And diseases etc. There are exceptions but stats...
@young umbra so choose how to spend the 306,600 hours you have left in your life, you are old and time is short. Imagine you have 306,600 dollars in your bank, every time you spend it you will never get it back and you can't make money anywhere else, it's your only money. How would you spend it?
I want to start things early so I can focus on other stuff at around 18 or higher
I do my best to be the best version of myself
all I need is discipline I guess
It's not true, but if you spend 40 years to do only stuff that are boring, yes, your brain will be stiff... Do some research about neuronal plasticity
But I agree that we can do a lot and early, but also take the time to appreciate..
true
time to get back to work ^^
yes, edited my message
what do you think now? @hard lance
There's a lot of ppl that are very creative and active until their last breath and I don't feel they are exceptions, I think it's a question of choice, the first choice being how you think about your life. Then you can choose to spend your life learning, improving, having fun, looking for solutions and going for what you truely want, taking care of yourself, or spend it complaining, beign afraid, just getting by... For me these things influence way more the decrease of cognitive levels and diseases, even though it's probably not the only factors
What do you think?
agreed :)
also think it is right to exclude the will from statistics

Does anyone have a guide for using Anki or some other flashcard/spaced-repetition app? I find Anki a little intimidating, but would really love to incorporate it into my learning process
In my personal opinion, JEE does give a LOT of options. If not Advanced, then at least Mains. NITs and IITs open a wide field not just into the field of engineering, but also, life in general. From hostel life to managing events, there are a lot of options to explore. You'll definitely find people like yourself who might be passionate for sports in all engineering colleges. It's kind of sad and yet beautiful, that the realisation of what people reallllyyy wish to do comes in college. If you wish to stick to engineering, you'll find a good job through placement. If you wish to find a job in marketing/finance/consulting, you'll find a job through placements. If you wish to switch to switch to some artistic field, you might find some or the other alumni connection.
<@&942391219206647828>
and at the same time beautiful you can do it mate
Also, can you go back to jee later if planned correctly? Like in 3 years if badminton isn't working for you?
ayoo jee aspirant???
if its only for Jee mains, then I guess you didnot need to give up on your sport
If its Jee advance then, I guess you should keep it aside for a bit
cause most of the IIT,Nit,IIITs has facility for sports like badminton and volley ball
you wont regret it tbh
well you have Girls quota xD
Hello there
Are there some french people here ? Or anyone who could help me finding a server when i can learn french i am a member of one but i don't really like it so if you know any good one you can suggest . Thank you

and all the best for your preparation
<@&942391219206647828>
Just wanted to follow up on this to see if anyone had good reccs on how to get started with Anki flash cards and spaced-repetition systems
^ <@&942391219206647828>
(The message is in quite a lot of help channel too)
Banned thanks!!
@daring vortex hi first of all
I have time limit on the other chat so i will text here
Some boys in the server did make us uncomfortable so we created that server. Have you got disturbed by some girls who has been trying to do other things rather then study here too, or you just creadted it just because you are??
He didn't created any server, he was just trolling

Chill
Okay i might get it but
it is really not funny at all
we seriously got harrased by some ppl here
:/
that was the reason we got this idea from the start
So this is not something to troll about, sorry
I even love dark humour but its just not it man
I am chill
Yeah
We are just talking
Yeah I didn't mean to hurt u, I was letting u know that he was trolling
To get the context
He probably even didn't knew too, that u all r facing that here
I hope he sees this and understand that it is not actually funny, thats all i wanted to say
well, now all of u know
Yeah buddy
🤝
@drowsy bobcat Instead of putting poop emoji you might just talk with us??
Are u a 5 year old
thanks for ur understanding
it is hard to find decent people anymore lmao
Ignore him bro, it's discord what do u expect from them
💩
I stopped long time ago lol
actually yeah but its a community and everyone should feel comfy
Hm, ignore these trolls
Study hard bbye
u are sick
byee
Also let me know if u find someone who is learning dsa/rust
💩
will do
oh let me just shamelessly enter this conv- i do
U r learning dsa/rust?
ye
Rust too?
yes. i finished the algorithms course just this semester. i finished the rust book, now i am doing the rustlings
I'm a beginner, im planning to learn rust for low latency systems this summer.
But I'm little confused between rust and c++ for low latency systems
i don't know anything specific about low latency systems and c++
Low latency system is basically used to send loads of messages with min delay
some companies switch to rust to handle large loads that JS or even Go can't handle
Yeah, but c++ is also great to handle large loads
Anyway can u suggest me from where I can learn rust
the good thing about learning rust is that everything is contained in the same place
everyone starts with the book
there's also examples and an interactive course
I saw one on fcc utube channel
the book is very very good
Is it
yes
honestly a youtube video can't really do any better
except some visuals with some complicated topics but really the book is great
Okay, what's the name of that book
The Book

Doc
no
The Book
no one has to explain things to make it more accessible to beginners if they already thought about and prepared resources
Yeah I found it
i read a few introductory programming books and this is by far the best one
Thanks, ✨
one more thing
Yep
Today I'm going to talk about some strange recommendations I have on how to learn Rust.
Thanks very much to today's sponsor RazorSecure.

❤️ If you would like to support what I do, I have set up a patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/noboilerplate - Thank you!
📄 A...
just read the book without trying your hardest to understand everything. you'll be familiar with the syntax and get used to the concepts
Okie
don't forget about the rustlings course
whats that
it's an interactive course that you install and use it with terminal
there are rust programs with some errors
syntax errors or semantic errors etc.
you fix the errors and the programs tests it. you move on if you pass it
it follows the book structure
so my study plan should be to learn all the basics from "The book" and then rust from rustlings course
yeah. you can do them side by side too
nicee, thats cool,
but all the resources you need is the ones in the rust website
so it will be a little easy to learn it
there are some other books but they are a bit advanced. you don't need them rn
np. it's really fun. enjoy the learning
yeah
what about dsa, how r u planning to do that
grinding leetcode?
i'll try advent of code first. maybe a little bit leetcode too but i am not planning to "grind" that much
ow, i'm following a structured list of question to get familiar with all types of pattern in every ds
is it the neetcode one?
no, other one
didn't see this one before but it looks good
yeah its really good and contains all types of questions according to me
Hello friends, good evening (at least, it's night here). I would like to know which device, platform, or app you use to create long-term schedules (such as for a year or a month). Next week, I'll begin studying for a very extensive exam and it will take me something like three years to cover all the subjeticts. Therefore, I'm looking for a tool that can help me visualize the overall plan without requiring too much time for planning, as I should primarily focus on studying.
Sorry if in some point i was not clear in my english, im still learning how to write better
@slate wolf in my experience it is better to make use of multiple platforms because you'll find that longer projects (in time) will have way more variables than we can account for with a singular platform
i'm just gonna use the MCAT for example
and for simplicity i'll stick with two components
- content
- scheduling
the best way to go about doing this would be by using a separate platform for each task
but if you must, then you'll probably find better success with notion or obsidian
from what little i know about notion, there's much better support for integrated calendars, or its own functional calendar system, and you also have a pretty decent note organization system to keep track of the content
obsidian has no specific structure, but the mechanics of the software allow you to do pretty much anything with it, so you may find yourself creating your own calendar system and/or notetaking system
as for visualizing, i think you would be better off drafting a general idea of what you want on paper, and then translating it to either software
in notion, you'll have specific templates that you can work with/create
and in obsidian you can make use of either the graph view (which can be ineffective) or make use of the canvas feature
sorry for not getting to the point yet btw
^^ok ignore everything above if you'd like^^
i don't have anything to offer that will be very valuable if your primary concern is time and simplicity
i find that 2-3 days of dedicated planning is pretty necessary for long term projects, and usually you'll find more factors that you haven't considered
so that may or may not be helpful
Very helpfull, thank you, i hadn't heard about obsidian yet. Notion is a little trick but yes, it may worth, as you said. I may have to structure it so i can see the week, the month and the more long term goals in diferente pages.
I have started preparing for UPSC 2025 , is there anyone else preparing for it ?
Can anyone help with the neural network code ?... Even gpt is clueless.
How many hours of studying should I grind a week before my final?
anyone who got into standford , need some mentorship
depends of how much u stided the whole year
i can try! depends on the framework you use though.
Yo guys, my school just ended and there is a lot of time for college to start, like almost 3 months......can anyone suggest some good resources for practicing (not learning) Data structures and algorithms in Java or C/CPP to strengthen my foundations..?
Which is better tuf f17 or rog strix g16 both with same specs
So i am trying to teach some people who are not smart to higher their grade, because they want to! I have an idea of how i should go about this, but I want to hear more opinions.
First i will teach about identiy change and how they are holding themselves back, someone who believes they're dumb in math will never get good at it, etc.
Then i will teach the 6 skills that will rlly take their grade to the next level:
Self teaching, reasoning, critical thinking, planning, empathy and perspective, creating questions.
After that im thinking this is how study during summer break will go:
Everyone gets like 2 subjects, and the goal is to learn them and then teach others, on top of that habits will be built, like daily reading, weekly math etc. This is my early plan. What do yall think? What should i change, improve or add, is there anything i should think about?
what website is "vulnbreave(cybersec)" using in Study Room 1 for the attack challenges?
Learning how to gain confidence, because getting good grades is 50% studying 50% confidence
The rest sounds SOLID! props to you for doing that!
Thx
But i dont understand
When i think confidence i thinn the guy who does what others dont
Can you try to elaborate
Please
With confidence i mean, you studied your ass off for a test/final and try not to overthink you wont be able to score good, make a good final
You think by yourself, i studied good, i knox everything, imma ace it
hi guys does an does anyone know what james goodread is called?
I recently had my first set of exams and did poorly in the exams of which I was looking to get top marks in but what is most fustraiting is that it wasnt a lack of knowledge but more so the stress and anxiety which actually made me preform way worse the I do in non exam conditions, What should I do to get this under control, any tips?
Meditation, exercise first and foremost.
Apart from that, give mocks in exam-like conditions. Through writing repeatedly (+venting out the nerves), convince yourself and your mind it won't be the end of the life, if this exam doesn't go the way you wish for it to go
Hello
anyone have any tips for being more energetic in the morning?
caffeine
what about will power?
how do i make that strong...? 🤔
well imma have to find that out on my own ig
"No man is free who is not master of himself"
-Epictetus
hey so there any space on this server to seek help with screenplays / scripts ?
get enough sleep at night, have caffeine and play some music in background for 30 mins atleast to wake yourself up and also walk around
Make it a habit
For building habits, you need to have a clear motivation on why you wish to do, whateve it is that you decide to follow
Define your purpose to yourself if you have definite goal then you'll be motivated in morning to work towards it
i'm struggling with making a summer routine as school was both the motivator and the thing setting me straight for waking up early and studying. i never thought i would hate having free time
i might be thinking about this wrong and instead using spare time (outside of what i usually do) to simply think
Read good books 📚
Read books, go jim, do some volunteering/find work 🙂
Your body and brain wakes up by 3 things:
Its rested (good nights sleep)
Core temperature increases. This can be done be physical exercise or a rlly good one, cold shower. Because the cold forced your body to warm up. And i mean shower, stuff that gives u a shock, not just some face water splash.
By having the eyes see sunlight u activate the circadian rythm, which in basic terms is like putting a timer that tells ur body: from 10-14 hrs from now i will sleep and i need to wake up because the sun is out (evolution stuff)
Caffiene and the other stuff kinda "hacks" the brain and is recomended atleast 1 hr after u have woken. Cuz it can rlly mess u up
Make an on point schedule so you always know what u need to do. Like:
8am wake up
8-8:30 work out
Breakfast
Study
Etc etc
Setting time tables with notifications is rlly good and forces u to wake up. Or maybe do some challeng that u log. Like: how good can u get at drawing in 15 or 30 days!
Train it, for example will power is the ability to do what something that what ur feelings are telling u. It doesnt only have to be work related, for example buying ur fave snack and putting it on ur table, it requires willpower to not eat it. But the actual best is isometric holds. Basically holding a physically straining position for a long time. Like hollow hold 100 secs. Have perfect form with feet pointed and that will rllyrlllyrllly need will power and full focus
Personally i think the problem here is that u actually partly expected bad results. Like you had no confidence in success. If you KNEW that u were gonna ace it, then why be worried. Be surprised but by thinking even partly of failure or believe that u wont get high marks will stop u. Ur brain wont go beyond what it actually thinks is possible. So next time have more confidence and belive more: "i studied my ass off and with QUALITY, no shit im gonnna ace this exam. I have basically already aced it, i just need to prove it to my teachers."- thats how i think.
But dont use this confidence as an excuze to not study hard. It should come from knowing that u studied hard, not from thinking that ur are an genius just because!
alright I get you thanks!
Np
also anyone got tips on things i can do to get ahead as much as possible during the summer?
Do you have any big exams comming up?
im in 9th grade rn so in a bit less then a year ill be sitting my IGCSE exams which yea are a big deal
Yk im currently working on smt that hopefully can help people get way higher grades. So ill just add u to my contacts, please be patient!
Anyone have their Net+ that can give a brother some tips and tricks. I feel like I am grasping the information but the application with how some of the questions are laid out are confusing me. I understand the information but I can't put them into real world scenario. I only work with Layers 1 - 3 so anything after that I am having a hard time understanding.
good night sleep melatonin pills
thx yall
maybe this advice will help 🙂
it is called overfitting, similar to how neural networks work. When trained too much on the data, they can answer good only to this exactly specific data and when data changes even a little bit it breaks.
You see the similarities to the brain.
they way to solve this is to sometimes to do new stuff in your routine, so when routine changes, brain is flexible enough to adjust.
any advice on how to be the valedictorian of your school?
Hello, I want to ask - I have an exam on the 27th. I also have a lot of material that I need to cover. Right now, I am doing practice questions. I feel like practice questions aren't enough for the exam. Am I doing the right thing here, doing practice questions instead of going through the material?
*Note: when doing practice questions, if I made a mistake or get a question wrong, I study the material for that specific question.
Personally i think practice questions are better. Since it is active learning, u are basically actively recalling the material that you need to know. Just reading the material is passive learning, were ur brain isnt active that much.
Tho a tip is too try to create harder questions urself, especially in the things u seem to not be that good at recalling or very important concepts
be very good to yourself and be equally good to others
and also good grades
my school didn't do rankings but both valedictorian and salutatorian were exceptional individuals
Hey Guys
I actually need some help regarding Uni application.
Its my first time, and I am just really confused.
I would be great if someone could help me out and answer my questions, too.
Thanks alot!
Sure, what do you want to know?
Im not at that stage yet. But from what i understand it is people who are exceptionally good at something/ some things but also have the ability to be recognized. Like imagine if you had almost top grades, but you knew all the teachers and basically everyone loved you. Ik it is a bad example. What i want to point out is that it isnt enough to just be good, you also need recognition.
Can someone suggest me songs about the youth (positive), plz?
I need it for tmr's presentation.
i am an incoming junior and and am planning to study aerospace engineering in college, im wondering if i could get some guidence on a passion project idea
I want to open a study with me channel but I think that my friends would make fun of me, so how can I do it anonymously, any ideas?
K’Naan - Waving Flag
there are many anonymous study with me channels
@fluid fulcrum i think you should go through those types of videos so that you can get idea from where to start
i need to study for long hours but i burn out so much after even studying for an hour
doing 4 hours makes me so overwhelm that it feels like if i study more my heart will stop and brain will explode
what may be the cause?
and how to overcome this
and i do take breaks
i follow pomodore rule
I made a python table to csv extractor. I integrated my python code into html by pyscript. Now i want to use the fileURL from JavaScript to input the user selected file from drag box into python code in html. How do i do that???
the file selected by user is read in fileURL variable in a .JS file. But i want to use that fileURL in the .HTML file where my python script is stored
basically the pdf file i selected was an image pdf, i.e, no text was selectable. That ment i could only use visual based libraries like tesseract. Which was out of the picture as it was getting hard for me to integrate tesseract OCR with existing text extracting and tabuation libraies like tabular and pdfminer. So i pass all PDF irrespective of them being scanned or text based, to be converted into a new pdf that is text based. This new pdf is then taken to a diffirent function where the text is extracted and then to a third function where the data extracted is turned into a table which popps out a CSV file
tried it and it wokrs. Now have to integrate it to a websire
the only issue is
I made a python table to csv extractor. I integrated my python code into html by pyscript. Now i want to use the fileURL from JavaScript to input the user selected file from drag box into python code in html. How do i do that???
the file selected by user is read in fileURL variable in a .JS file. But i want to use that fileURL in the .HTML file where my python script is stored
i imagine i would have to delete all of the JS data after each reload as There can only be only file in the python code after the first process (scanned pdf to txt pdf) with the name "scanned.pdf"
.transparent

Hi everyone
Is there any mod here?
.
guys can anyone give me study tips for math?. I am taking 3 math classes this fall semester and the idea of taking not 1 but 3 is already stressing me out
First of all, you should know that being good at math is not doing good calculations, that's what calculators are for. Being good is being able to answer many why's. So my method is as follows:
- Read the topic and understand it well. Ask yourself and answer as many questions as you can, understand the logical meaning behind what you are doing.
- Make yourself summary cards with the things you should remember. Imagine you have an exam tomorrow. What should you know?
- Practice EVERY DAY. This will be what will define your agility with numbers.
TYSM!!. I will practice these I really appreciate the help!
Welcome! I wish you good luck :))
That tip from @vale patio about practice everyday is a key. Invest time. Problem in undergrad college math is not that it is super complicated but that the timeframe to learn is very small. Good luck, that's quite a challenge you chose 🙂

guys I am a newbie in body building what does "3" mean in this:
DB Drop Squat - **3 **x 12-15 FF (Form Failure)
does it means sets?
3 sets of 12 to 15 reps
one set do 12 to 15 sets
take small rest as per your body need
second set n so on,.
And what does form failure mean?
so its like yk when are doing an exercise , you need to do it in proper manner or proper form so form failure means when you can't really do an exercise in its proper form so when your form starts stumbling till then u can do it
So for example I am doing pushups 3 sets (FF)
It means
oh that's different
after 10 pushups and I do have form failure I stop then it is now labelled as 1st set?
3 sets till FF is like ONE SET TILL YOU CAN'T DO ANYMORE PUSHUP <till last limit of your body>
yes
Okaaay! Thank you. I understand. Thank you Elarc.

Is there anyone that is willing to chat real quick on how they found a career that suited them (whether they went down the college route, trade school route, or work right out of high school)
I think it is important to think about what you want and what is good. It is also cool that you have considered it now, it is one of the top big decisions in life, so it is better not to screw it up because fixing it will require a lot of effort.
What is good:
I chose my career (software engineer) because I did not want to be tied to one country. This is a serious problem for people who are not born in rich and stable countries. It is also a problem for people in rich countries if they want to see the world outside their country, I mean live and work abroad for several years.
For example, if you choose something like law, you are bound by the national law of your country, so it is very hard to see the world except for vacations or remote work (the latter is complicated because of taxes). For software developers, it is basically pick a country and go to work, because everyone needs them these days.
I emigrated from my country and studied abroad. Now I work there. Best decision ever.
What you want:
This career suits me because it is peaceful most of the time. No drama. Great for introverts (unless you go into management).
If you have any questions, let me know!
hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate your help, i have to write an article on the topic "life is a celebration" for a magazine and i need everyones views and ideas:). and how you would celebrate through the tough times ^^
the topic is a bit tricky but it could be done in lots of ways, im a bit lost on how to word it (and how to think outside the box)
for the intro, i would say " Life is a grand celebration. It's a roller coaster of ups and downs, twists and turns, and moments that make our hearts soar. So get ready to embrace the wild journey of existence, where every breath is an opportunity to revel in the magic that surrounds us
and some points could be like embracing everyday moments.
Rather than waiting for grand occasions, celebrating life begins by appreciating the small, everyday moments. Finding joy in simple pleasures like a warm cup of coffee, a beautiful sunset, or a heartfelt conversation with loved ones can fill our days with happiness.
oh that is beautiful thank you so much I appreciate your help :)

Ik this is kinda late but I recently have made a decision that I think I want to do something in Analytics. I dont think me working hard will be a problem since Ive always been able to put my head down for school work. But for whatever reason I just saw what the Business Analytics is at my college, and saw all the tracks leading me to research it and looking into and seeing how interesting it is. Its not so math heavy (I wanted to major in math lol) so I should be able to do well with the mathematical components in it since I find it really simple. It also seems to be very problem "solvey" I enjoy solving problems and think its cool that I could help a business (Or solve a problem for anythign really) improve profit/operations from my work. I also like how you need to communicate alot to reach out, and I think its cool since I like to see myself as a social butterfly. I really do think Ive found what I want to do as a career (Sort of????, I actually plan to get a job in this and work for a few years and save money up to start a business with my best friends while we use our college education to 1 improve our business profits and expansions, and aswell as looking for other financial endeavours. This all arose from our close friendship and want to be financially free, and we all want to live together and really grind to make our monetary dreams work together). Thank you for you advice. I really wanted to do something that would 1 not being mundane and boring since the outcome is solving a problem or showing a broader people to someone who wouldn't understand the data in a business without someone who is analytically literate. I also like that It seems to be a career that is needed everywhere so theirs alot of chances for remote jobs so that It would be possible for me to move and live somewhere that me and my best friends could start our business. Alright let me leave my VERY long appreciation for how you found your career. I thank you again for the advice.
prob will dm you if I have any questions or any other insights. ty
Hey, good, you are doing great to give it so much thought.
I currently work as software engineer in Analytics department in a very large firm, mainly responsible for developing data platform and automating data processing. I work with people who have background in Business Analytics (or experience). So ask away, I hope i can help 🙂
i'm so fcking jealous man, at least you already decided what you want to do with your life and come up with some plan
why are you jealous brother , you should do it too
I tried, but I get depressed, just thinking of the amount of effort i need just to be successful
also I'm undecided since i can imagine myself in every field that i want to take. so hard times..
i get what u mean. but honestly, it's ok to still not know what to do with ur life. take time 2 think and choose something u really like is much better than rushing and deciding something just because u feel pressured by society or other people. it's also ok to change paths and pursue other things. life is all about learning, growing, and exploring. sometimes we don't even know how much we'll enjoy or be passionate about something until we've actually gotten a chance to try it out. so def take ur time to think and to plan, and to pursue ur own path in life.
Keep it real
and don't feel bad for feeling like that way, it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed and to struggle with making decisions. it's scary to make such important decisions about ur future. so it's ok to feel hesitant and to be unsure about ur future. take your time and keep exploring ur possible paths. rmb that u don't have to make the perfect choice, and that it's ok to make mistakes and to change ur mind. life is all about experimenting and finding what makes you feel happiest and most fulfilled. you'll figure it out
hi i wanted to ask if anyone applied before/ knows any fully funded programs for masters

it can be hard to move on from someone that u have feelings for, and if u feel like they dont reciprocate ur feelings or are just using u, this can hurt even more. that said, the first step to moving on and redirecting ur energy is to acknowledge and accept ur feelings. it can help y to stop focusoing on what the other person might think or feel and start focusing on what u need and want for ur own life
use this situation to motivatyte u and to push u. focus on pursuing ur own ambitious and rmb that relationshups is not the center of ur life, dont let someone else distract u from ur own goals or to take up too much of ur time
i did
thank you so much for your advice I don't talk to them anymore unless it's very important and i feel like I will be fine if I just don't think too much about this matter i acknowledge my feelings for them but i must not get distracted by them.
It sounds like u're well aware of the difference between acknowledging your feelings for this person and letting them take over your thoughts and decisions. You're right that you shouldn't try to ignore or repress your feelings, but at the same time you don't want to let those feelings drive you away from your own goals and what you want from life.
they can't control me now. I'm good but sometimes those feelings try to drive me away from my goals. I hope I move on from this shitty phase.
Just curious, for those who are not currently a student in school, how do you or would you study information from an electronic source if you don't have access to any books at the moment? I do own a pretty decent desktop for work related purposes and look to use it just for that.
I'm a mech engineering student. I'm learning AutoCAD. It would be really helpful if anyone could guide me the best way to do that by suggesting websites/lectures/quizes and stuff.
i'm looking to do cs in college and i'm taking ap calc bc and ap physics this year along with a college level cs class all for my senior year. anyone have any resources for learning any of those so i can get a head start over the summer

does anyone here know anything about downloading all the files from your google drive? my school email is about to be deleted and i need to back it up. i tried "google takeout" but it's not like it saves the files in an accessible format lmao. it also did not give me the option to download all my google docs
sooooo, i dont really know any way besides manually downloading each important file of mine from each google platform/product 🥲
Try searching for GATE content in English for CS related stuff and JEE Physics for physics related content. Us Indians have to give competitive exams, so you might find some great teaching content through these searches

Manas Patnaik's playlist was helpful for me

Can you elaborate on what exactly you mean by studying "information on an electronic device"?
Tell us what you think about it
Hello guys, I have problem about making a plan. Like i try make a plan but still can't outline things. Like i can goals but i can't know where can i put in my time chart. Can you give me some advice about making plans, thanks.
I'm nearing the end of my online Python course and I'm eager to know what steps I should take next. While I have a solid understanding of Python syntax and can write code confidently, I want to enhance my computational thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Do you have any recommendations for projects, challenges, or resources that can help me improve my Python skills and problem-solving approach? Additionally, I'm interested in exploring competitive programming and hackathons in the future. If you have any tips or personal experiences to share, I'd greatly appreciate them.
Do u believe that concept of god by Spinoza ...is kinda similar to "energy"..i.e he is describing "energy = god "
You can start by solving medium or easy level problems on leetcode. Also if you are confident enough with python, you can try out some contests on codeforces.
Or try creating something of your own, some little tool you would create for your personal use. This will help you explore new domains
Spinoza's god was synonymous to "nature" or the "universe". Everything that exists is by definition a part of god. And yes it can be argued (though in a vague sense) that energy = god owing to the arguments in favour of how everything that exists is eventually some form of energy.
Just do it 🎷
OK thanks.
focus on some really small goals, like miniscule, consistency > intensity until you can build a habit, but once you lay out everything you need to accomplish, things will start to fall into place
ya true
are u philo student or CS student ?
haha same but i study CS.
I see
leetcode
Try to solve those (there are videos explaining each solution):
https://neetcode.io/practice
Those are the most common questions of FAANG type interviews.
Leetcode is also very popular among competitive programmers, there are weekly and biweekly challenges.
I solved about 250, mostly mediums. Was fun as a hobby for couple of months.
Python is the most popular language on leetcode I think, because it is way easier to solve graph and array problems with it.
A better way to prepare for coding interviews.
ty my g this is actually helpful
anyone know how to insert row (spacing row) every nth row in excel ?
or any tutorial/video about it ?
Happy to help.
This youtube guy is great. He solved a lot of leetcode, recorded it, applied to google and passed all the algo interviews.
After watching those videos and solving like 250 mediums, I also applied to Google, went through full loop with 5 interviews, got all "hire" except one interviewer and got rejected (you have to get all "hire" from all interviewers). Still it was fun.
Hi guys, first time being here, can i ask for some tips to learning vocab as I rarely remember anything and always research it in the dictionary ( Im not a english native speaker so I may have some mistakes )
u can start by defining your goals. use the SMART goals. This will provide clarity and direction for your plan. then, determine the more important and urgent tasks or goals. Prioritization helps you focus on what needs to be done first and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Consider the impact and deadline of each goal to help you prioritize effectively.
then allocate specific time slots for your tasks and goals. Create a schedule or time chart that includes regular work hours, study time, personal time, and any others. Be realistic with your time allocation and consider your energy levels and productivity patterns throughout the day.
u could also regularly review your plan and make adjustments as needed. Life is dynamic, and priorities may change. Stay flexible and adapt your plan accordingly to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
Thank you for info.
select the entire row where you want to insert the spacing row. You can click on the row number on the left side to select the entire row..
then, right-click on the selected row and choose "Insert" from the context menu. This will insert a new row above the selected row.
then, repeat the above steps for every nth row where you want to insert a spacing row. For example, if you want to insert a spacing row after every 5th row, you would select the 5th, 10th, 15th, and so on, rows and insert a new row above each of them.
expose yourself to a wide range of vocabulary. Choose books, articles, or blogs on topics that interest you. This will help you encounter new words in context, which aids understanding and retention
or
keep a vocabulary journal(this is how i used to learn malay) Mmaintain a vocabulary journal or notebook to record new words and their meanings. Write down words you encounter while reading or during conversations. Review your journal regularly to reinforce your learning!
or
u can use flashcards or vocabulary apps like Anki, Quizlet, or Memrise to practice and review new words. These tools often utilize spaced repetition, which presents words at intervals optimized for memory retention.
or
Use more new words in your own sentences or engage in conversations that allow you to practice using the vocabulary you've learned. This active engagement helps reinforce your understanding and retention of the words. it helps me too
or
regularly review the words you've learned to reinforce your memory. u can even try to schedule dedicated time for vocabulary review in your learning routine
hey yall
i was wondering about this question
i=2;
while(i<n)
{
i=i* i* i;
} what is the time complexity of this loop ?
just 1 i assume ? since the loop is guaranteed to happen only once ?
why tho
nahh fam
we don't know the size of n
for example if n a thousand
it would go more than once
its logarithmic
but log to what idk
i mean , i just didnt understand the syntax i though its some like code that if u dont give a variable a value it will be zero from the get go , sadly i just finished highschool cs so i dont know complexitys with logs and such , sorry i cant help u with this 😭
log₈(n). ?
tysm
but shouldnt { i =i*8; } equal to that?
I recommend you read 12-weekyear book. It talks about how to make plans, how to make its processes, planning and how to execute it. Also you really need to make time for those things even if is a couple of minutes. Find a way to work on your execution also (The 12-WeekYear) book helps.
How the hell did it calculate your body fat
lmao
any bmi calculator will tell you this stuff
except for the body fat
idk abt the body fat
you can check by comparing what you look like to pictures of people online with certain body fat percentages
just search "body fat percentages" in images and you'll get it
correct me if i'm wrong
I struggled with this as well. Eventually learned two foreign languages to fluent level (I use both at work).
The easiest way is to use visual associations. And repeat daily.
hey guys
is there any way that i can get a voucher for az900 exam ?
hey is anyone experienced with the SWIFT programming language
go for the black trustm e
Why though ?
Sup, guys. So, I'm having difficulties of organizing my studies and the way I'm studying.
I've tried some study methos as pomodoro (I've tried it 3 times before)and looks like it makes me more tired than the classic method.
Should I ban video games from my routine? I mean, I play it once a week (if I'm not full of things to do).
I've watched a lot of videos on youtube to solve this problem, however I just can't solve it. I'm literally not dumb when learning a subject, however the routine became my worst enemy on highschool.
Hi all! Anyone can help? In what application and how did he make additional fields for pdf?
Timecode 12:18

upd: it's onenote
day in life video
Ok i won't tell you to try watching x,y and z videos as if you're watching some you probably already came accross them (but in case you didn't or anyone else would need them in organisation and how to study you can check Thomas Frank, Matt D'Avela, Nathaniel Drew or Ali Abdaal) that's what first came to mind.
And then I thought about a video I saw some time ago in which the guy was explaining the moment in the day when you work is very important, your concentration will be at its best either the morning or the afternoon maybe this has to do with your tiredness. For me I tried waking up at 8, start at 9, doesn't work, so I start later, but instead stopping at 18, I work until 22. You need to find your peek moments.
Then I realise this will not be so easy during school time but studying's really your top interest you got to manage your time. Let's say you work best in the morning but need to sleep early, try getting you worktime in the morning instead of evening. If you work best in the afternoon, if have empty hours between classes, instead of killing time, try going to the library to work.
Also you know yourself better than any strangers on the internet or productivity youtubers, if you feel like something's not working, ask yourself what would work better. Some people say pomodoro is not that good for them because if the alarm rings the time of the break they'll lose their focus. Maybe try pomodoro but with longer timers, work 2h take a 15 minutes break or 20.
All of that said, I'm not an expert, in the past I probably spent more time watching productivity videos than being productive.
For video games, that's a you choice, hate to admit it but I personally couldn't make games and study work together.
Am learning open cv with python
so i need a projects that test me as i go

Hi guys.
I (M, 21) am in 3rd year of medschool and i'm feeling very overwhelmed by social media and having to look at my phone so much.
I would classify what i have as an addiction. It does not affect my social life or my love life, but it affects my health (lots of headaches, forget to drink water, some days i stay in bed all day looking at memes/tik toks) and my studying (i want to study more than i do, but spending time on my smartphone feels so much better and rewarding for the moment).
I was thinking about getting a second phone, like one of those with buttons, just for texting/calling but idk if it's a good idea. Does anyone have a second phone? Does it work? Or does anyone have any productivity tips for my problem?
P.S. : I can't just throw away my current phone, i need to stay connected to facebook/whatsapp/other apps because that's where i get notified about university/family news.
P.P.S. : I currently have installed on my phone an app that makes the display simplistic and some apps remain hidden. It works, but not as well as i want it to work.
First of ,you could start with deleting social media apps. Second, depending on the type of phone you´re using, you could use a "child lock" for specific apps. I mean friends or family could enter a password which would restrict you from using them. Similar to what you´re already using. You could also seek help from a psychologist/ med. doctor. The symptoms could also come from things like adhs, depression, burnout? idk. You may try to use it a bit less every day. Put a timer on. Give yourself special times through the day to use the apps. Turn your phone off when you study....
If you're on android, I recommend setting a timer on each app that seems to be distracting or addicting to you.
I tried it last year and it seems to be working fine for me (since I can't delete the apps because of communication &, updates purposes).
Set the timer for 10 minutes on each of them or it depends on you. After the timer ends you won't be able to use that app again until 12:00AM.
Or you can just use the Focus Mode feature. What I did is I put my focus mode to turn on every Monday to Friday from 8AM-12PM because that's the time I will be studying daily. I didn't turn it on early like 7am because I would check my messages and other updates. Then in the afternoon it's when I can use my phone.
Idk if it can make multiple schedules though. But you can just manually turn it on and off. This feature won't let you open the apps you selected but if you press an application, there will be a pop up message that you can "Use the app for 5 minutes" in case of emergency or idk.
Two of those features can be found in the settings of an android phone. Not sure abt it though but it's on my android phone
Also try to ask yourself first why you want to use ur phone or what's your purpose of using it. I do it sometimes, just simple mindfulness can actually save you a lot of time. And don't forget to reward yourself after you've finished a set of study sessions to keep you going.
So just to let you know, I'm just 15 so I'm just writing this based on my experiences that worked for me.
Hi all! Maybe someone came across and can help, onenote blurs pdf, I use the ipad version. How to fix? On a PC, the pdf file is very high quality, but on a tablet it is not very pleasant to read the text
hey ...
anyone got any good/cool ideas to build a project using java , c , c++ or python
other than minigames and management systems (eg. tic-tac-toe or library management sys)
weather application? chatbot?
or image filters? a personal finance manager
Damn ty
I'll ponder on these
- Literally delete the apps.
- Realize your emotions are controlling you and if you don't focus on how your actually feeling about quitting them you will relapse by trying to logic your thoughts and trick yourself into saying theres got tobe a way to use it in moderation.
- Check in on your self how you are feeling after the first 2 days.
Yes make Rocksith for piano and sell it on steam when your done.
Hey,
If there was a short-form content platform that strictly shows content around improvement and prioritizes value provided over getting users addicted would you be willing to use it?

Hi guys.
I (M, 18) have messed up my entrance exam and currently enrolled in 2nd tier univ in my country majoring in computer science, I want to ask how influential university's prospect in terms of future career as an engineer? I felt like I can't get a good networking, prospect, and growth environment in my current uni. Is it worth to chase a top college next year in majoring of computer science? I'll take semi gap. if that's happen I will be graduated at 23 / 24 years old, what do you think about this?
Choosing a uni can totally impact ur future career as an engineer. Top-tier schools have awesome networks and opportunities. You can rub shoulders with experts, score cool internships, and get help finding jobs. But rmb, it's not just about the name. Look for great education, chances to grow personally, and consider the cost. Don't forget, there are other paths to success too. maybe u can talk to some advisors who can give you personalized advice. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if chasing a top college and taking a semi-gap year is worth it.
Thanks for the input
bro dont drop that's all
What's the problem with graduating at 23/24?
I failed a year in high school, so I'll finish uni at 23/24 too
In terms of interviewing for a job, no. Companies don't really care, even top companies won't even look at your bachelor degree as long as it's in CS.
Networking? Yes, absolutely. I can imagine that people from Stanford University have more opportunities as entrepreneurs than other students.
But to answer your question, no, it is not worth chasing next year. At least in my opinion. You will lose a lot of money but not graduating earlier. For example, if CS dev makes 100k and you graduate a year later, that's 100k loss.
Hi so i really need to study. i have an exam in two days but i cant bring myself to do it iv been sitting at my computer for 2 hours just freaking out about my exam but not being able to bring myself to study. idk why this is happening and its really annoying.. Idk what to do so i thought i should come here and see what you all think.
literally me
thats the most real response im probably gonna get💀

Is anyone familiar with the bioinformatics softwares NCBI and/or Ensembl?
Hey, I totally get how ur feeling right now. It's tough to bring yourself to study, esp when you're overwhelmed and the exam is just a couple of days away. Trust me, you're not alone in this. Sometimes, the pressure and anxiety can get to us. maybe u can try break down your study material into smaller, more manageable chunks. and also create a schedule to give yourself some structure and set specific study times. Get rid of distractions, like turning off notifications on your phone or finding a quiet place to study. and then start with the easier subjects or topics to warm up, and then gradually move to the more challenging ones. also, instead of just reading passively, engage actively with the material by taking notes or summarizing concepts in your own words. Practice with past exams or sample questions to get familiar with the format. And don't forget to take breaks!! You've got this! Just take it one step at a time. Good luck with your exam!
heyy
any high school students?)
Hello, guys. I am 16 years old. Just study math and prove myself that I am not a stump:) Let's goooo
actually I dream about to get one day an imo medal ...

The problem is in my country (3rd world country) the mid to high salary for average people is 500 dollars/month (yes, 3rd world country indeed) 100k dollar is something you get through decades of working, which is why I want to enroled in better college so that I can be an expat in my fresh graduate (Foreign company look university's reputation for fresh graduate) to get a better job. After I've seen foreigner get 10x and even more compensation for same work load, there's no way I would satisfied with my country's condition.
Yoo
Hey guys is anyone preparing for the yös exam
Hello! does anyone know any good recomendations about how to write a good college essay, if u have any good tips dm me pls
My professor asked me to create a discord server for their use, can anyone help me to make the same
Just made a server with some text and voice channels but I have to add some bots and solve their certain needs
does anyone use mesh system? is there ant droup out?
For immigration purposes (e.g. to EU, USA etc.), the prestige of your country's university usually does not matter at all as long as it is official governmental university.
And anyway, it is pretty easy to find a job abroad if you are a developer. Most of my friends have done so, and they are not from top-tier universities. It was never an issue.
I myself emmigrated from my original country (via studies) to a 1st world country and I can tell you, nobody cares about prestige of university in CS.
Random question - but I'm a developer and was wondering what you guys would think about this:
Similar to how people watch netflix in watch parties and twitch re-runs, do you guys think people would want to watch youtube videos with random ppl in watch parties (of size 10 maybe) with chat functionality?
Question- not actually really related to studying but I started test prep late(like a lot) and currently I’m gonna be a senior in a month and I just started my prep for the SAT and I’m really worried about that I’m too late so is it too late?
The part not related to studies: ik a bunch of students my age are probly alr done with this and im kinda nervous about what if they judge me at the classes so any advice to stop worrying bout that?
Hey, don't stress too much. Starting your SAT prep a bit late doesn't mean it's too late to catch up. Many students begin their test preparation during their senior year, so i believe you're not alone. Focus on creating a study schedule and sticking to it. Consistency is key
As for worrying about what others think, rmb that everyone has their own journey and timeline, don't let the fear of judgment hold you back. Stay focused on your goals and give your best effort, surround yourself with supportive friends and classmates who encourage and motivate you. Ultimately, your success is what matters, so embrace your unique path and keep moving forward with confidence. You've got this!🍀
Alr thx man cuz like I’ve lately just been realizing how much of a doofus I’ve been bc I’ve been procrastinating and have been lazy and all that but now ima make use of the classes and also my other time to finish all my work with the best quality! Believe it!
exactly, believe in urself and ur ability to turn things around! It's never too late to make positive changes and improve your work ethic. Acknowledging past mistakes is a great step towards personal growth. Use your classes and available time wisely, giving your best effort to complete your work with high quality. Stay focused, stay motivated, and rmb that your efforts will yield results. Believe in your potential and strive for success. You have the power to make a positive impact on your academic journey. Good luck, and keep up the determination
bruh how do I learn all of trig in ten days 💀
good luck lol
This is a weird help me request
But if some hairdresser, cuts your hair way too short, what do you suggest doing to fix/cover it up?
I mean going from nose-level hair, to eyebrow-level hair
Is death the end ?
So guys I don’t want this to be like a daily thing but I have just one question- about just like relationships- basically I had a cuz who vapes and when he told me I told some other cuzs so we could convince him it’s wrong and that he shouldn’t do it(if his parents knew he would get an ass whooping ten years straight) and so bc I told the others he thinks I’m a snitch and maybe yes I am a snitch but I just wanted him to stop vaping so is it really my fault or am I clear?
We’re talking/playing a game tonight online so is there anything I can say to make him think better of me?
U ain't a snitch if ur intentions of telling them is really really for help.
There's nothing to say to him he will realize he was lucky to have someone cares about him when he grow up !
Well tbh I am kind of a snitch cuz I didn’t fully only want to convince him like I wanted him to stop but I was in disbelief and that shit just couldn’t stay inside of me and I told my cousin but in the end we did try to convince him
But shit is true whether I like it or not I was a bit of a snitch since I told someone
In my opinion i think u did great
I wish u can do more untill he quit and then he will realize u wasn't a snitch
u did good
Lmao thx but idk how tf to make him stop cuz ik if I try to talk about it again he’ll be like oh u haven’t changed as much as u claim and stuff
I literally don’t understand why people do this shit like vape drugs alcohol like y the f do u want this rn
Do it if u want when ur at the right age
And specifically drugs and cigarettes and e cigs, like y the hell do u even wanna do that like what’re u getting???!! I get alcohol once ur old enough but the vapes and shit bruh 🤦♂️
And man it’s just sad cuz I still remember when he told me abt it: he took me to his room and bros like look at this and he’s like I vape and bro had a smile on his f’ing face and was Lowkey proud of it for some reason
Or thought he was cool
😩
is there anyone who could have a look over my english essays for my mock finals due in 11days (i have to memorise and write these during the exams so any tips would also be appreicated)
When he gets older, he will appreciate it or forget about it. Vaping/smoking is a serious and dangerous drug addiction, nicotine is no joke. It is very hard to quit and many people have no control over it. The best thing you could do is to suggest (buy, gift) to read the most famous book on smoking / vaping quitting: The Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Allen Carr. It is okay to smoke before you finish the book, and people generally stop smoking after reading it.
Usually people do not like other people discussing them when they are not around. It will pass, though.
I get it bro, in my city its glorified to smoke weed to get rid of stress and just chill and it’s almost like a key to getting liked quick and easily by Make sure to be there for him when he comes to his senses 🙏

How do u guys remain consistent in studying everyday
continue the current lectures and watch the prev. chapter which you don't remember along with it... like try to give the chapter you forgot the basics of atleast 30 mins a day so you cover it up as well
Yes I would love to try that. Be sure to block all the NSFW bots and other bots in general, than we are talking.
thank u
How doomed am I to be the only student enrolled in a certain course?
the course is ECE btw
just do it???
Anyone has multiple-choice exercises about oop and java to practice? I have final exam on wednesday
@nova leaf try setting some clear goals first? Make 'em achievable and know where you're headed. and then create a daily study schedule. Having a routine will make it easier to stick with it. Start small and work your way up. u can start with short study sessions at first, then you can go for longer ones later. rmb to keep things organized, so you don't waste time searching for stuff.
And ofc get rid of distractions. Turn off notifications and find a quiet andcomfy spot to study. or u can also find a study buddy in #study-buddies channel, it'll prob keep you in check. rmb to track your progress too, to see how far you've come. Stay focused, stay motivated, and rmb why you're studying in the first place. And don't sweat it if you miss a day, just bounce back the next. You got this! Consistency will become second nature before you know it
First off, don't stress too much. It's completely normal to forget some stuff after a break. Take a deep breat. ! Since you're attending the current lectures, focus on them for now like they said. It's essential to keep up with what's happening in real-time. As for the chapter you completed before, you can leave it for later. then revisit that chapter. Remember, it's okay to take things one step at a time. You got this! Good luck with your studies
Okay so I struggle with maths alot like I've just a month left for my examination to begin nd idk I keep doing silly mistakes or is just not confident enough while doing maths.... Even if I'm right I'll question myself nd will end up doing those sums wrong... If I don't get good marks in maths my percentage will get hampered nd dat is what eating me up everyday
i am posting the following message to hear the thougths of those who are older/more experienced than me.
hey I am a student studying in b-tech 1st year in a tier 3 college in India, the thing is that I don't like the fact that I am in a tier-3 college ,its not like I don't have friends ,I actually have pretty good friends but the thing is that I feel like the work I put in to get into top colleges just did not pay back. I used to sleep for only about 4hrs and study as much as I could but I did not even qualify the exam, now there was an another exam ,the result of which decides the private institution in which you get to study and the courses you can do, i barely passed that exam with the worst rank my family has ever seen, the consequence is that my father had to pay 11lacs for me to get into the college in which i am currently pursuing my degree, we did not have that kind of money so we had to arrange money from here and there and from relatives and we somehow managed to pay the money. Now there clearly is a financial problem in my family bcz of this and everytime i see my family fighting(related to money, how to save and stuff) i blame myself and indeed i am the reason. Now i want to buy my father a car as a gift but have no idea how to get so much money in a short period of time, my father is also getting old and looking at him taking difficult options of doing things to save money kills me from inside, Now coming to the point ,being from a tier-3 college where honestly speaking i can code better than my teachers, how can i dream that i can get into a company that gives me the money to buy father a car, nowadays the fact that he is getting old is also troubling me and i just cant do anything at the moment, kinda frustrating. I dont know what replies i will get for this if any but just speaking my mind out.
I don't know what to say in order to comfort you or help you in your situation, but what I do know is that they didn't run here and there and did all that they did to see you miserable. so please don't be. coming from somebody who gave med entrance and didn't get a good rank either, trust me you're lucky to be pursuing the degree you were preparing for. If I don't get in this year ill prob pursue something else. and trust me I would take 4hrs of sleep and a lil bit misery over doing something I didn't plan on doing. And don't take this the other way I just mean that you don't realize how many people dream to have what you already do. and for your father and growing part, it's natural. you will get him a car, one day, one way or another. Ik it must silly coming from me as I am not in your situation but trust me, it will get better. I am so proud of you for making it to 3rd tier and not leaving it in the middle. I hope u complete it well, gift that car and make everyone proud, but remember it won't be the end of the world if things go other way. you will find a way just like you always have.🤍
Math can be tough. I Struggle with it too! and it's normal to feel anxious before exams. Don't be too hard on yourself for making mistakes, it happens to everyone. The key is to stay positive and practice as much as you can in the next month. Work on understanding the concepts step by step and focus on the areas where you struggle the most. Don't hesitate to ask for help from teachers or friends if you get stuck on something. Also, try doing some practice tests to build your confidence. Rmb, even if you doubt yourself, give it your best shot, and trust in your abilities. Your percentage is important, but it doesn't define you. Stay focused, stay calm, and do your best. You got this, good luck
First of all, don't be too hard on yourself for not getting into the top colleges. Sometimes, life doesn't go as planned, but that doesn't define your worth or potential. Rmb, success is not solely determined by the college you attend. And it's tough when you see your family fighting over money because of the college fees. But hey, it's not all on you🫂 Your family made the decision to support you, and they believe in you. It's not just about the college you're in,it's about what you do with the opportunities you have.
Buying your dad a car is such a sweet idea, but don't stress yourself out to get a ton of money real quick. Take it easy. You know you're good at coding right, so take that advantage. Even if you're in a tier-3 college, that doesn't mean you can't make it big in the job market. Companies are interested in talent, not just fancy college names. Build up your portfolio, network, and grab internships or freelancing gigs to gain some experience.
and also, don't let your dad's age worry you too much. Spend quality time with him, show him love, and support him. Life is unpredictable, and all we can do is make the most of it. It's okay to feel frustrated and uncertain, but trust me, you've got the potential to make things better. Stay positive, keep pushing forward, and believe in yourself. You have the potential to create a bright future for yourself and your family.
How did that situation arise?
If you question yourself and end up solving them wrong, the problem might be with how well you have understood and visualized the concepts.
I don't know; I just asked another teacher how many students are enrolled in this course, and they simply replied, only you
I also check how many graduated, turn outs there are only 6 of them this year.
I assume it's because of the local job opportunities, it's not really popular.
is there a difference between oxidation state and formal charge? if yeah, is there an example wherein these numbers are different for the same molecule/atom in a chemical reaction?
Hello, is anyone interested in journalism, especially analytical journalism here? I would like to talk with someone who's interested in writing texts about many different topics and publishing them.
i think theres a difference. Oxidation state (also called oxidation number) is the hypothetical charge an atom would have if all its bonds were purely ionic. It helps us keep track of electron transfer in chemical reactions. On the other hand, formal charge is the actual charge an atom carries in a specific molecule when electrons are shared unequally. So, they serve different purposes. for exp, let's consider the nitrogen atom in the compound NO2. In NO2, the oxidation state of nitrogen is +4, as it "gains" 4 electrons to complete its octet. However, the formal charge of nitrogen in NO2 is +1, as it has 1 more valence electron than it "ought" to have. So, in this case, the oxidation state and formal charge of the nitrogen atom are different. Hope that clears it up!
there is no right age for this stuff its harmful at any time for your mental and physical health
thanks for taking the time to reply, yes I get it ,my mom keeps reminding me to smile and be joyful but the moment I laugh out loud or do something 'fun', I instantly feel this guilt feeling of like 'this is not what I am supposed to do'.
thanks for taking the time to reply, and you are right, I learned the lesson that just because you work hard does'nt mean you will get what you work hard for , but still you have to work hard and give it your all in order to not have any regrets, and as far as the preparation goes I am doing the best I can and spending a lot of time studying coding and I am trying to find people like me who are on the same page and also working hard for something but I need network more I have a very small network.
Don't do that brother .....No matter what you've done in past you've acknowledged it now and you are working on it rn so smile being serious and feeling guilty always won't do any good......It's okay to commit mistakes don't hang onto them and don't be too hard on yourself
Hello everyone,

I have a question which relates to programming, what is the difference between framework and library?? Anyone could explains?
a library provides specific tools that you can use as needed, while a framework gives you a complete structure and set of rules for building your entire project. Libraries are like individual helpers you bring in, and frameworks are like building plans you follow.

Anyone here self-learning in Cybersecurity?? Any advice pls, I don't know how to understand Sec+
make sure ur workspace is free of distraction and that u have all the necessary materials with u. and also break ur work load into smaller task one at a time. avoid multi tasking and be mindful of ur attention. when u complete 1 task, reward urself with a short break. maybe 5 to 10 minutes? set urself a time limit or deadline to complete the work and stick to it!
ok thanks :)) I’ll definitely have to remove a lot of distractions

Guys I've recently bought a graphic tablet, can anyone suggest few apps that work on Mac and is good for writing and making notes, apart from one note
anyone here self learning mobile development? i want to ask for advice
Will yall buy this? If so for how much? It's 150mm by 100mm. It has a modular design so you can expand it's functionality
Congratulations on your new graphic tablet! For writing and note-taking on your Mac, there are some great apps to consider.
One popular choice is Notability, which offers a smooth writing experience and allows you to import images and annotate PDFs.
GoodNotes is another fantastic app with various paper templates and excellent organization features.
If you prefer a minimalist approach, Bear is a easyto use app for writing and note taking.
For a more collaborative platform, try Microsoft's OneNote alternative, Notion, which allows you to create versatile pages with various media elements.
see which one suits your needs and style best!
Thanks u bro for the suggestions.
Hey guys, I really wanna fix my life but it feels so hopeless. Im trying to do a coursera course for Google Data Analytics to get a job. I have very bad anxiety when it comes to cars and travel cause of motion sickness. I been trying to get remote work but just feel stuck. Is it possible to change font style in macbook? or any third party app to do so
Tinker tool does it, but i cannot vouch for it I don't have a mac
Is it safe to use it?
Don't know don't have a mac, i guess you'll have to do some research on it first. I found it with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_sW6xB_GaQ

it sounds like ur going thru a difficuly and stressful time atm, and i understand why u might feel hopeless. ur taking some great steps to fix things! Going for the Coursera course for Google Data Analytics is awesome, it can open up new job opportunities. Don't worry about cars and travel, lots of people deal with motion sickness anxiety. Maybe try online counseling to work thru it? And keep applying for remote work, the job market is changing, and there are plenty of remote options out there. Rmb, progress might be slow, but every small step counts. You're doing great! don't forget to be kind to yourself. You're strong, and there's hope for a brighter future. You got this!
Thank you for the heartfelt message 💙
hi
I've been suffering from depression for over 2 years, and when I am with people, I can't come up with anything to talk about. Can depression affect speaking ability? How can I deal with this issue?
I know this might not be a right place to ask this issue but I just need some help.
although im no expert, but i think depression can make an impact on ur speaking abilities and general communication skills. But hey, don't be too hard on yourself, it's just a symptom of what you're going through, and it doesn't define who you are.
If you can, consider talking to a mental health pro. They can offer support and help you work through this. In the meantime, try starting with small talk in social settings. joining support groups might help too, it gives you a safe space to practice conversation. or just try to start conversations with ppl u know, or trying out diff topics when ur talking. And rmb it's totally ok to take social breaks when you need them.
dont forget to look after urself, get plenty of sleep, exercise and eat good meals. it will help u feel more confident and and in control when talking to other ppl. lastly, be patient with urself and forgive urself if u make mistakes or get anxious during conversations. everyone has difficulties now and then, ur not alone in this, and u can improve with practices!
From where we stand, you're already asking for help and that's huge! We're proud of you.
I found out that people generally like to talk about themselves so I usually ask them a lot of questions. Also great way to learn something new. Like today I met new person who works in cybersecurity so I asked bunch of questions about it. You could try to do something like that. They will do the talking and you might learn something new. It is easier than trying to come up with mutual interesting topic to talk about 🙂
Hey, idk i need help to get out of this slump. I signed up for morning classes, used to attend them too. But since past few days despite sleeping at 12 or 12 30 at night i just cannot seem to get up for classes, or stay consistent. i cannot get studying done and having a very hard time making to do lists let alone completing them. what do i do?
keep a todo list of what you plan on doing and make it as specific as possible, such as 'i will wake up at 8 am today to go to class right after brushing my teeth',
then keep a journal to write at night. if you skipped class for whatever reason, write it down. "i skipped class for no good reason today"
thankyou sm i will surely try it <33
Go to bed at 8:30 p.m. You will sleep so much that you will wake up very early.
If it is difficult, get tired first, like running for an hour nonstop.
I watched this video yesterday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hApnn1vnWi0
Sounds a bit like your problem, maybe it can help
Is anyone there boring or spending free time right now. I need some helps 👀 about some easy speaking test (conversation) I couldn’t think about the dialogue so maybe anybody gets some idea. 🤔💐⭐️
Eat less, focus on better diet
well slumps happen to the best of us, but you can totally overcome it! and its great that uve signed up for morning classes and have been able to attend them in the past.
First things first, don't be too hard on yourself. It's okay to have off-days. its ok to have days like these every now and then. Try to get some good rest, maybe go to bed a bit earlier if possible. Set a consistent wakeup time. or why dont u try to set ur alarm abt earlier, instead of putting so much pressure on urself to get up a certain time.
As for studying and to do lists, start small. Break tasks into tiny, manageable chunks.. It's all about building momentum. And don't forget to take short breaks when you need 'em. You got this! Take it one step at a time, and things will start falling back into place. You're stronger than you know.
i was so close to switching the timings but ur words actually helped ❤️
I took early classes last semester too. They started as early as 8:30am. Here's what I did and hope it helps you. I slept at 11:30pm every-night and woke up at 6:30am (7hrs), squeezed an 1 hr study sess for my morning classes (30 mins each reviewing what was to be taught that morning). By 2:40pm I was home from school putting away all my tech gadgets and squeezing another 1hr/2hrs nap. From 5pm to 10:30 I studied. By 11pm I was showering ready for bed I sometimes read a book and stopped to sleep at exactly 11:30pm. Since I woke up and slept at a consistent time my body was naturally tired at 11pm so sleeping wasn't an issue and waking up wasn't either because I napped to make up the sleep I lost during the night.
thats what i try to break down my sleeping hours, but sometimes while doing work at night i tend to extend it as i am in the flow at that time, but i watched a video yesterday that @rough plume suggested and it said u need to learn to stop and i did that yesterday, and will continue to do it (try my best )
how to not tire
So i tried working out but damn i feel faint. Any tips to prevent fainting?
drink wo'ah
make sure you're properly hydrated and have eaten enough before exercising! Dehydration and low blood sugar can contribute to feeling faint. Second, don't push yourself too hard, especially if you're just getting back into it. Start with lighter exercises and gradually build up. Also, take short breaks between sets to catch your breath. If you start feeling dizzy or lightheaded, sit or lie down, and drink some water. Listen to your body and don't hesitate to take a break if you need to. And of course, if the problem persists or worsens, it's best to consult a doctor
make sure you're getting enough quality sleep each night, aim for 7-9 hours. Avoid caffeine and heavy meals close to bedtime to improve sleep quality. Stay hydrated throughout the day, as dehydration can make you feel tired. Take short breaks during the day to stretch and move around. Avoid sitting for long periods, get up and walk around every hour. Lastly, try to manage stress through relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation.
I ate, drank vit c and water beforehand. I think i pushed myself too hard. Thanks for the advice
thankies
me being committed to my time, braking my work into manageable chunks and prioritizing each tasks is what got me through last semester. Sometimes is good to break the flow if y'know is not going to help in the morning. If I continued to work on something that wasn't due in the next day at night I sacrificed my sleep and I paid a price by dozing off in class lol. So yes prioritize the things/tasks that need immediate attention (I call mine a must-do-list, something I need to do today! not tomorrow.
School is out and when school was in I didn't do deep work. I've been working on myself and now I want to start practicing deep work. But, I have absolutely no idea what I want to work on. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Anyone knows how to handle insomnia? It's 3 am and I cant sleep 😭
Avoid screens
Drink warm milk

This is just a stupid thing but i kind of need to get this out, I've never messaged here, I'm new to this community but just seeing people in the same struggle as me and working as hard and some even much harder than me it just doesn't feel like that one alone dumb kid trying to change his life and turn it around, so just thank you for the community for helping maintain my mental health
W
use reading mode or bluelight filter in screens and take 10 min breaks every 20 mins
coming from someone working in a tech field
it's unavoidable to not work in screen
It's awesome that you're all about deep work now. If you're not sure what to focus on, don't worry, there are loads of possibilities. Do you have any hobbies or things you've always wanted to learn? Maybe it's playing an instrument, getting better at a sport, or diving into creative stuff like writing or drawing. If career or school goals are on your radar, you could channel your deep work into projects that align with those. And hey, personal growth is always a winner. You could work on building your confidence, improving communication skills, or even getting into meditation just pick something you're curious about or passionate about
dealing with insomnia is tough🫂 but there are a few things you can try. try having a regular sleep schedule can help, so try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Make sure your sleep space is comfy too you know, cozy blankets, the right temperature, all that good stuff. Oh, and put away screens before bedtime. They mess with your sleep hormones. If you're a caffeine lover, steer clear in the hours leading up to sleep. And also, a little exercise during the day can actually help you sleep better at night. If your mind's racing, give relaxation techniques a shot, deep breathing, meditation, they can help calm you down. or u can get up and do something soothing until you feel tired. And remember, if this keeps up, it's smart to chat with a healthcare pro. They've got more tricks up their sleeve to help you sleep better
what you're feeling isn't stupid at all! It's completely ok to reach out and express what's on your mind. We all have moments where we need that connection and validation. You're definitely not alone in this journey. Communities can be amazing for finding support and motivation. It's awesome that you're recognizing the hard work of others and drawing inspiration from it. Remember, everyone's fighting their own battles, and it's totally ok to reach out for help when you need it. You've got this, and we will try our best to help u if u need anything :]
hi , is there someone with a previous working experience in field of environmental studies? i need it for my finals project
So- um- i set my to do list for everyday- but everyday i am unable to get my tasks done- it's not like i don't try to achieve them- i do try- but like after completing like 2 tasks out of 8 i feel little accomplished and my brain trick me into thinking that i deserve a little break- and that break ends up in an hour of scrolling through youtube- and after that i feel tired, demotivated and dissapointed in myself- this has been going on- even though i try not to fall for it- my brain won't fully concentrate on the work i am doing- i am so frustrated and dissapointed about myself due to this- coz i end up wasting my day- and i get random mativation to work at night- and it f*cks up my next day- coz i am all sleepy while attending lectures- please guys can someone help me- it's like i am ruining my potential and this year is very crucial as i am preparing for an entrance exam-
...
My main question- is how to stick to my routine- and not procrastinate and concentrate better- and get my tasks done on time-
Hey! It's ok not to get everything done directly, don't blame yourself too much. If you want to get better at doing your things, you should set achievable goals, and break large tasks into smaller. And maybe try to eliminate distractions, either with something to lock your phone while you work, or to stop you from accessing easily youtube and things on your computers.
You could also tell someone about your to do list or your goals so they can hold you accountable.
And remember it's normal to struggle, if you think you're procrastinating take a break, refocus, and try again
That was really helpful- thank you so much!

hey guys, do you have any good tips on how to be more productive ?
Guys I’m in high school but when i try to study I can’t and I ask myself why I’m studying and why do I need that, and I don’t have goals for studying or something , can anyone help me pls
it's normal to have this type of questions at your age.. You should talk to your high school assistant, and also make a visionboard : what are the things you would like to do in your life, what are the things you really don't want to do, what is the quantity of effort you want to put in your studies, etc. You should also have study buddies (people who will help you get through all your hard times, people who will give you hope for the future, and people with whom you will learn to organize yourself, to love studying, etc)
@austere dagger
Yeah but actually I don’t have any goals in life but I want to study and work hard like James but still don’t have the reason
But I try to find goals and study buddies
Thank you for help
do you think you will work hard if you choose a random goal (for instance choosing to study something that will make you rich ?)
No
But now I study things that I don’t like in high school
But in college maybe I will have goals
Can you give me an example of your goals?
hi
can i know why is my camera looks pixlated af
but in my private server it looks fine
Hey guys, I could use some help:
I have a bad habit of checking my phone first thing after waking up. Even before putting on my glasses. It’s a bad habit I’ve been trying to kick for years. When I mean “checking my phone”, I mean, right after turning off my alarm, I go straight to Instagram - probably due to FOMO. FOMO + the thought that maybe my long distance friends sent me a message. I’ve noticed that when I use a non-phone alarm, it kinda helps, and also charging my phone on my desk or across the room. By placing my phone somewhere that requires me to get out of bed to turn off my alarm, that’s been useful for not snoozing. Besides not sleeping with my phone next to me, what are some things/ways I can avoid checking my phone first thing after waking up?
use app lock :)
i used to block all my distracting apps for the whole day and add only 1 hr slot to reply back to my friends
or the best solution delete the app- ( it really works ) download it when you know tht your addiction has come to an end
Well, I study to learn new stuff because I like to learn and i like challenges So math is fun at times
You really need to find in it what is valuable to you and you can connect a purpose to it, to answer the question of "why am I doing this?"
Tbh even I don't 'like' studying but I just understand that I have to do it anyway, and I hear people talk about self-discipline and they talk about "doing things even when you don't feel like it" and to me that sounds cool, and I see James and I'm fascinated by this guy's character and that sparks something in me to be like him so that's there too
But of course, all this motivation stuff gets you really pumped up and then when you actually get to the work, it's not very exciting, it's just sitting down and reading and writing and thinking about how stuff works and then the feelings come in and say "this isn't very fun" but then you realize that you're supposed to do it and what you can do then is just accept it and be like "if I have to do this to get there, then fine i'll do it"
Even David Goggins gets those feelings yk
But he just pushes through it
That's why he's the toughest man in the world rn
my goal or fear you could say is dying with less knowledge about the world. That could be in any way, learning less or travelling less, not knowing people. So everyday i learn the things I learn to achieve that. Create myself opportuities to travel, learn, meet new people, know more minds and stuff. Sometimes I loose sight of this ofc. All the work, study, it feels like a chore but practically speaking it will enable me to live the life i like. And tbh studying and working is less harder than living miserably, be it emotional misery or physical.
and firstly, set some clear goals. knowing what you're aiming for is key. Then, figure out the top priority stuff and settle those first. If things seem too big, break 'em down into smaller ones. have you heard or tried of the Pomodoro Technique? Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5minute chill break, it keeps you focused.
for distractions. Put ur phone on silent, close those extra tabs. you're a human, not a robot, take care of yourself. Eat well, move around, and make sure you're getting enough sleep.
If you have a bunch of to do listh, set achievable goals for the day. there are tons of apps/webs out there to keep you organized.
Hey! I get you. studying in high school can feel like a real drag sometimes. But here's the thing, finding some motivation and making studying less of a snooze-fest is doable. First off, think about what gets you excited about the future. What kind of job or life do you want? Having a goal in mind can give studying a purpose. And speaking of goals, set some! They don't have to be crazy big uk, acing a test or just getting through a chapter can be goals too.
When you're facing a mountain of notes, break it down. Focus on small ones at a time, so it's way less overwhelming. And hey, everyone's got their style. Try different ways of studying, maybe flashcards or explaining stuff to a friend? Find what clicks for you!
Connect what you're learning to real life or watch videos to mix things up.
also stay away from distractions, like your phone and social media, it helps a alot. And don't be afraid to take breaks and do stuff you love. If things are still feeling bad talk it out with a teacher or counselor, they've got tips and support.
Just remember, it's okay to question things sometimes, but finding your "why" and setting some goals can light that motivation fire. High school might feel like a never-ending ride, but the skills you pick up now will shape your future. You got this,!!
trying to break that phone checking habit in the morning is a great goal, and it sounds like you're on the right track
maybe try 2 keep your phone away from your bed? charging it across the room can really help bc thats what i do HAHHAHA. maybe using an alarm clock instead of your phone's alarm might make it easier to resist the urge to scroll right away, because i do that too! You could also try setting a morning routine that doesn't involve your phone, like doing some light stretches. And hey, if FOMO's the issue, you might want to tweak your Instagram feed to make it more positive. It's all about finding what works for you, so don't stress if it takes a little time to break the habit. You got this
hey guys, how do you prepare for the start of the semester?
first things first, check out your syllabus to know what's up. Then, get your things sorted, folders, notebooks, pens, all that stuff. don't forget to mark down class times, assignments, and exams in your calendar. make sure you've got your supplies game on point.
Got any subjects you're a bit rusty in? take a quick review to freshen up. and also set some goals for the semester? like what do you want to achieve? Also, create a comfy study spot that's free from distractions. Backup your notes digitally, trust me, it's a lifesaver, bc thats what i do too HAHHAHA Keep up with good habits too, sleep, exercise, healthy eats and connect with classmates for those study sessions. And don't be shy, introduce yourself to your professors early on. Finally, stay positive and take care of yourself, you've got this!
I’ve tried that a few times, and it’s kinda successful! Chafing it somewhere that’s not my alarm clock. It also helps me because getting up makes me less likely to snooze. As for FOMO, I mostly follow other people, not celebs or content creators. I guess the FOMO comes from missing smth in another person’s life and also the frequent thought of “there might be a text from someone!” Especially since I have friends who live far from me
ohhhthat's great to hear that you've found a strategy that's working for you! Moving your phone away from your alarm clock is a clever way to break the habit of checking it first thing in the morning, and it's awesome that it's also helping you avoid hitting the snooze button.
As for FOMO, it totally makes sense, social media can trigger that feeling, esp when you're following friends and seeing glimpses of their lives. One thing you might consider is setting specific times for checking your phone. For exp, you could make a rule to check your phone only after you've completed your morning routine? or finished your first task of the day. This way, you're in control of when you engage with your phone, rather than it being the first thing you do upon waking up. Also, remember that texts and messages will still be there even if you wait a bit before checking your phone. Your friends will understand if you take a little time to get back to them. And ik staying connected with friends who live far away is important, but taking care of yourself and starting your day on your terms is important too. i can see you're making progress, and every small step counts toward breaking habits and forming healthier ones. Keep up the good work, and remember that it's all about finding what works best for you
Guys I need help !! How do you do to do sport while studying ? I feel like i don’t have the time neither the energy

so some tips that i will share is
**Have good sleep since you play sports body needs it
**Eat properly
**Stay focused(me personally i avoid social media , yeah a small break is fine but i can't resist if i start once so avoiding it )
hello
any cs grads ?
i have a question...
i read quantum computers are not Turing complete..is that true ?
Yo big question here: tmrw my school starts and im a senior now and i have frnds and im in a diploma program so ima have the same people in my class as last year but im not friends with everybody and im most likely not gonna have most of my friends in any of my classes so like how can i look more like optimistic and open to others so people acc talk to me? I also wanna know how i can be myself(ik it sounds stupid) cuz like i wanna be more of an open person than last year and hopefully make some new friends as well. Also im in one class with totally new peeps so is it possible to make friends with someone in that class and how can I do it?
Does anyone know what to do in my situation: I play videogames in my free time and because of that they drain me like work/etc, but if i wont play them then i would be burned out, cuz they are the only thing i can use to rest
I was like that. I can't give you a magic solution, I did stop, forced myself to replace games with work but in a positive way, trained myself to feel pleasure while studying, not feeling like it was a burden. But you gotta find your way of doing it, train your brain to like doing things that are otherwise hard. If you can feel good about achieving something outside of the game, I'm pretty sure you can switch that dopamine shot. Don't blame yourself for struggling with it though. It took me time before even willing to take the step you just took and asking myself if maybe video games were problematic for my energy. Of course you don't have to replace it with work, I did it because I needed to, but you can read, walk, hang out, meditate, or whatever you feel like. But if you think you want to change you can do it.
I got another question : some people are Students in big universities but at the same Time they have a YouTube Channel, they do sports etc… how do they do to organise their time ?
Also if you have tips to wake up early (this is my biggest problem ever !!!)
I guess a lot of them prioritize, there's a youtuber Elliot Choy, he said that there's a moment where he realized he had to prioritize so he stopped trying to get better grades than B because he felt like his Youtube Channel was more important
Sleep early and don't snooze! If you wake up 10 minutes before your alarm just get up, when the alarm rings fight yourself and just get up, don't close your eyes again. Once your up you're good, don't drink coffee first thing, makes you more tired, wait at least 2 hours, you can also try to take a walk, or get sunlight either through your window or outside (if the sun is up when you wake up)
i get distracted easily
by literally anything
it's hard to explain
but i'll be sitting at my desk and get lost in thoughts for long periods of time as if i were drunk
and i'm unconscious of the present moment and the world around me
and then i also drift away on the internet when i have to do something on the internet
i mean i get it when i'm being obviously stupid
but its like even work related stuff can take me away from work
i'll read something or see somthing and then i'll remember an old reference in my memories and i'm off to the clouds
there was a point in time where i could control my shit
but now it's completely gone
or that's what it feels like
i want to get that mental state back
when i know what i'm supposed to be doing and i'm constantly aware of how shit can go wrong so then i always have my eyes open
staring at it all
remaining vigilant
to not drift away
and to force myself to do what i'm supposed to do
burying my emotions and childish impulses and getting to work
i had that
i want to get it back
how in the world am i supposed to fix this?
now as i was typing this i was thinking "Just do it"
which is true
and it sounds so simple
but why the hell is it so damn hard to just do it
SLeep early ? and keep a lot of alarms it will help you
its all about utlising every min of your day properly
it might feel like a challenge, but you've got options. First up, try scheduling in some workout time, even if it's just a quick one. If you're into multitasking, combine studying with exercise, like listening to study stuff while going for a walk. And maybe u can use those study breaks for doing a few jumping jacks or stretches , maybe itll boosts your focus! Now, when to do it? Choose what suits you best, either as a morning energizer or a chill evening winddown. You don't need to spend ages on it. Short, intense workouts like HIIT can do wonders.
If you're all about social vibes, invite friends to join you, it's like a mini party with bonus fitness. And setting fitness goals keeps you motivated, kinda like your study goals.
Remember, even during study time, you can stay active, stand, stretch, or even use a bouncy ball as your study chair. It's about finding stuff you enjoy too, dance, yoga, anything goes. Don't sweat it if you miss a workout. Plus, moving isn't just good for your bod; it boosts your mood and brain power for studying. Give it a shot, and you'll see how it can make a cool difference in your life
Totally get where you're coming from. Starting a new school year can feel a bit daunting, espwhen you're not sure about having friends in your classes. First off, being optimistic and open is awesome. Just walk in with a smile, make eye contact, and maybe even start conversations with simple greetings. People are usually drawn to positive vibe. Being yourself is key. Don't worry, it's not silly at all. Just embrace who you are and own it. You'll attract people who appreciate you for you. And hey, if you're aiming to be more open, try asking questions about others' interests, people love talking about themselves.
As for that new class, you can make friends there too! Sit next to someone and strike up a conversation about the class, assignments, or just introduce yourself. Finding common ground is a great way to kick things off. Remember, everyone's looking to make connections, so you're not alone in this. And sometimes, even small gestures like a smile or a "hello" can go a long way in making new friends. You got this
I totally get where you're coming from. Videogames can be a great way to unwind, but it sounds like they're also getting a bit draining. Balancing relaxation and avoiding burnout is key. Maybe you could try setting time limits for gaming? like an hour or so, to make sure it doesn't become overwhelming. Also, consider mixing up your free time activities, going for a walk, reading, or anything that can be refreshing. And hey, if videogames are your chill zone, that's cool! Just make sure they're not the only thing in your relaxation toolkit. Remember, it's about finding that sweet spot where you get the downtime you need without feeling wiped out. You got this!
@small pewter you re the best person ever !! love you and wish you the best
Alr thx man
I aprecciate that!
Yo does anyone have android extensions to stop using youtube
you can use stayfree to both track your phone usage and block youtube
i think is about their time management game. First off, they're like pros at scheduling. They divide their day into chunks for classes, filming, hitting the gym, and more. Plus, they're all about setting goals they can actually reach. When theyre abt to study, i think most of them are using the Pomodoro method, which is a focused work followed by quick breaks. And they probably use apps and tools to keep everything running smoothly.
i think the flexibility is key. But they still make sure to fit in some chill time and self care, it's like their secret weapon. maybe just being in the moment is enough , plan ur things properly, and knowing when to say "no" if things get too crazy for u . It's all about finding that groove that works for you, so don't be afraid to adjust things until you nail it.
the struggle to wake up early is real
But don't worry. maybe try to set a consistent sleep schedule, like going to bed and waking up at the same time every day helps regulate your internal clock. And speaking of sleep, create a calming bedtime routine to help you wind down. then put your alarm clock or phone across the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off. And natural light is like my enemy, so ill try opening the curtains,it works for me imo. And remember, take small steps. Start by waking up just a bit earlier each day until you reach your goal wakeup time. It's not easy at first, but once you get into the groove, those early hours can be pretty awesome. You got this.
maybe this has smtg to do with anxiety? (not sure). u can try when u realized u were drifting away, try to focus on ur breath and take a few slow breaths again, it prob can help u to recentre urself and come back into the present moment. or u can try getting up and walking around to help u refocus ur attention
try to focus doing the work and achieving the outcome, rather than thinking about the ways that could go wrong. focusin on the goals can help to motivate u and encourage u
it can feel difficult to just do it when ur experiencing like this, strat by trying to tackle thnigs one step at a time. try to focus on the task infront of u and not worry too much about other potential problems or challenges that might crop up. if u try to force yr way through things, u might end up feeling discouraged and overwhelmed, making it even harder to jsut do it in the future. so try and take it slowly and break things down into smaller task and goals
Try searching for YouTube blocker or productivity apps on the Google Play Store or your browser's extension store. Extensions like StayFocusd or Block Site can help you limit your time on specific websites, including YouTube.
Well, I did get diagnosed with severe anxiety at age 12.. (I'm nearly 17 now) and my most basic state is just "desperately wanting things to not go wrong" and getting overwhelmed because "there's so much to do" is something that happens almost commonly
Thanks bro, this helps ❤️
It's common for people with anxiety to feel overwhelmed and to worry about things going wrong. It's understandable that you would feel this way given what you've been through before. remember that things can go right as well as wrong and that the focus should be on achieving the right outcome and not on preventing something bad from happening. focus on the present instead of worrying about possible negative outcomes, and take things one step at a time, this can help to make the task at hand more manageable and less likely to be overwhelming
thanks man, appreciate it

It's my first time having a philosophy subject.
We had our first meeting earlier and it seems to have a broad range of topics? It's very interesting! It challenged my critical thinking and I would love to know more about it. Any ideas what I should read or watch related to philosophy that will help me? I want to study in advance!
Help me pls 🙏😭

Is this writing songs, production, scoring, instrument practise? What lense are you focusing on?
omg it's awesome that you're going into philosophy for the first time. , I recommend checking out some philosophy books like Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder or The Philosophy Book by DK. If you're into videos, CrashCourse on YouTube has a great series on philosophy that's both entertaining and informative. Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy online is a good resource for diving deeper into specific topics.
@small pewter thanks for the tips! I'll check these out for my weekend study sessions.
severe gaming addiction
but im doing some unorthodox detox type shit
like i fixed my sleep schedule by staying up for 24 hours, and didnt get on my computer at all within them
i just need to stop depending on games as a past time
do stuff with my life
Nice
Yes, that's right
You need to find something that will give you true happiness, not just temporary pleasures that come and go (this goes for me as well)
Think about what the coolest type of people are in your opinion and what makes them cool, then maybe you could take some inspiration to reach a higher level in your own development in the journey of life
You have the power to do it
good job for taking action on that gaming addiction. It's a journey, but you're on it
Changing up your sleep schedule like that's a bold move, good job for making it work. And stepping away from the computer for a whole day? That's determination right there. Remember, breaking the game dependency is about filling your time with other cool stuff. Find hobbies you're into, reconnect with friends, explore new interests, there's a whole world beyond the screen waiting for you. You're already on the right track, keep on goinng
yea gaming kinda messed with me, ive been playing guitar for almost a decade, but my addiction made me play a lot less, result being that i couldn't learn the techniques that i wanted to
I totally get where you're coming from. Gaming addiction can really shift priorities and impact things you're passionate about. But the good news is, you're aware of it and making moves to reclaim your time and interests. Guitar playing for almost a decade is amazing wow you've got skills
As you keep stepping away from gaming and back into your guitar, those techniques you've been eyeing will start falling into place. It's a journey, and you're making progress. before you know it, you'll be nailing those techniques like a pro
internet people making me feel better than therapy who would've guessed
and actually making me act on what i want lol
thanks

Does anyone feel confused about the direction of his life in his early 20s
ofc, feeling a bit lost and confused about where life is headed in your early 20s is super common. It's like this whole phase of trying to figure out what the heck you're supposed to do next. Don't stress too much, so many of us have been there. It's all part of the adventure. Just take it step by step, explore different paths, and give yourself the freedom to make mistakes and learn along the way. You're not alone in this journey of figuring things out
gn all
at the beginning, not really
but later on, hell yea (if you want to pursue it on advance level)
dont sweat it too much for now, its not supposed THAT tough, just try to learn and build things, once you get quite used to it, its very easy to adapt to other technologies/programming languages, its very creative work
