I find myself wasting time on manually setting up forest and the timer redoing, and the links, than actually saving time on it, and i dont even get the point of forest. Lowkey studied 11 hours today and i had to set up a code and reset timers, and it became the highest screen time app today of like 10 minutes. Is there like a point of having forest, is it like a game thing, or is it for starters to build discipline

i don't really know what forest is made to be, but in my personal opinion physical timers are better

It varies from person to person. I share my code because I enjoy it, and during study sessions, if I have to leave, I think about the people in my Forest app room. This motivates me to push myself for their sake. I can relate to the feeling of annoyance when someone sends code and it disrupts focus, so if that happens, it's perfectly fine to join someone else's room for the day.

I have quite an elaborate plan but I have to formalise some of my ideas but I'll talk about the rough outline

if your streak target is lets say a clean 12 hours of study a day, but u do like 11, it technically fails but 11 out of 12 hours is a highly efficient study session, so like SSHafti said id highly recommend tracking via percentage of study time and depth
