You know you're in a flow state if you are totally oblivious to the noises/sights of the outside world

I read a book having to do with applying recent psych studies to studying. Theres a study that says we can juggle 4 big categories at once with our conscious mind, that lets us make use of all of the various things we have learned under those 4 categories. In a flow state then, things like external senses are not taking up one of those categories. Basically if you were using 3 categories previously, you are now using 4, should be like 133% increase of your abilities.

This is also a massive disadvantage to people in significant chronic pain or discomfort. Unless you focus so hard you tune out those things (probably very hard to do).

The only solution I can think of is to let yourself be bored. It's most likely caused by an excessive amount of social media, and from my experience, that makes you unable to feel or think. Leaving yourself alone with your thoughts, recalling your old hobbies & passions, and then keeping yourself busy with activities you used to do or you should do (like studying) seems to be the best way to redeem your personality

what i do generally is, try my best to sleep when i feel hollow, then slowly i start adding- something that I love (good ones, i mean) , exercising or that outdoor sport that I love, or a visit to a library or for a nature walk outside or check up on how my real friends are doing (offline preferably or call) . physical activity helps me a lot during those time.
Also , if possible try grateful journal ling, take break at times , We all feel that way at time, you are already doing awesome buddy. You got this :))

you can turn it off in the settings. It's good when you working but for learning purposes it steals from you. Like for instance if you get used to using it and a really hard bug show up you might struggle to find it by not knowing the qualities of the different error messages. (I find type errors impossible to debug with copilot but because i know the classes im working with i can normally retrace it but thats only because i learnt without it). But this is just my opinion though, whatever works best for you is always the go to
