so, in current software enginieering world there is a huge push
for abstraction, doing everything in the browser, to bring javascript (a language
that previoulsy was only for dynamic interactions on the client) outside
of the browser and on the "back end" <- just a fancy term for server

and there is this guy, a very good programmer, one of the old masters
and about 10 years ago after being frustrated with how game programming
infrastructure is laid out he decided to start workign on his own langauge
the man in question is johnatan blow and the language is called jai

in current game dev if you are a begginer you are probably keen to go
and work with an engine such as unity or godot or even god forbit unreal engine 5 (if you love pretty slide shows)

what jai is meant to be is a programming language for games, with a lot of
"helper functions" (reusable pieces of code you can call) for games in the
standard library (a library is just a set of functions and the standard
library is like a "built in" library that comes with the language)

its more of a raylib vibe, people who are more of programming nerds than game
nerds who still like to make games usually either work on the graphic api directly
(a graphic api is just a library that your system provides to create a window and
make some pixels appear in there)
or use raylib in questin,

for me this is great, as i am both trying to go pro but i also program a separate
kind of programs on other kinds of languages just for fun,
i really love to play around wiht lower level languages (a low level language
is just a language that assigns you more granular control rather than doing stuff
automatically, probably the biggest difference is memory management)

and this would make it even easier and even more fun to program small games
in my free time

jai is in fact powerfull enough to make industry standard games,
but im just glad someone made a lanaguage that gives back to the programmers
people who like to code and want to interact with the computer via it,
game engines are fun and all, but not for everybody, and im just glad
there will be a language for my hobbies, for now im using raylib and c tho

oh one important thing, jai is in development for 10 years now, it is not public yet
johnatan blow has said that he will release the lanaguage alongside the game
hes working on using the lanaguage, game will probably be paid but the lang will be
free, thats why when during the game awards his game got announced i got excited
