because physics and maths can be paired very well

but not if you don't want to do a certain job

if you wanna chase money, engineering

but i think you can be succesful in physics and maths, especially as duckios says, when you combine them

it also depends on where you live. Different countries will have needs and money for different people

I entered engineering without much knowledge and then suddenly wanted to switch fields to physics and I have spent alot of hours researching about this and basically what I found is pursuing theoretical physics or mathematics as a whole is definitely not smth you should do if your goal is money and if you are fine with that even then you have to be very interested in either of them otherwise their courses can make your uni life hell

And I've watched alot of yt videos from people who are either professors or research scholars or doing masters even talked to a guy who did his PhD in Physics from Cornell and then made a decision not to switch fields

Cuz basically what I found out is the whole of academia sucks so if you try to go into that side as a teacher Or professor it's really not worth it and job market is down the drain for these degrees

That being said if you are really interested then you can do undergrad from a good uni and then if it isn't your cup of tea you can switch fields but if you have any interest in any branch of engineering, you should go with that
