totally agree w schooling helping to develop nuance as a writer but idk if this is necessarily true. sure worlds usually need to be believable to be readable without constantly pulling the reader out of the action but there's a balance in most cases and striving for 100% accuracy is both impossible and usually borderline unreadable (personal taste showing here). obviously hard sci fi will always have its place & having things be rooted in possibility makes for believable fiction but also people can get away with alot if the writing is good. like think of bradbury, dude would just be like 'And then the spaceship landed. and so they left the spaceship..' and that would be like the extent of the science mentioned. you can absolutely write authentic & powerful stories, even sci fi, without a science background, (like my man kurt v) but it probably helps conceptually

Am I going too far? Should I lower it to 50 minutes of study and 10 of rest? Or try to lower it little by little, 50, 40, 30
