The reason I asked was because in our country there is a common mindset that most science students take with them : "Indian education system sucks, trigonometry is of no practical use and I want to pursue my art" while they don't have any talent for any art [most] and just spend their time scrolling reels. And hence even if cbsc makes a paper moderately hard they spend their time cussing the system and how cbse did something otherworldly while the whole time they prepped for the exam equipped with just simple mindset of solving pyqs and learning derivations to heart as if derivations can save them. I know cause I did it.

I know how schools and coaching sucks cause they never teach kids how to learn actually.
But the students too are at fault to some degree

So I understand what level ncert is and what level jee mains is. For a subject
Coachings are not making concepts or new questions they just refer to few refrence books , and these concepts and questions are easily available to someone inspite of their economical background , pdfs of books etc

Students become lured in by coachings / teachers who tell them just do this it's enough just do that it's enough
Like for ex do all derivations etc stuff
And Partly both are at fault.

Photochemistry is a topic for my exam
Level 1 which every teacher teaches :
Ln [I/ i0] = - alpha b c learn this formula and solve a question from this and u r good to go
Level 2 : learn derivation for this formula and solve few questions

Level 3 : solve the question based on the data given in question but newsflash u have to deduce the data given in question itself, it isn't going to straight up give values for the variables in the formula u should understand concepts, how concentration of solution depends on the length and the relation between other 2 variables which r not given in the question

Most teachers teach till Level 2

Level 3 is up to the student

And do u know the percentage of extra time it takes to go from Level 2 to Level 3
5 percent.

It literally takes 1 hour to go from Level 2 to Level 3 on ur own without a teacher.

What right do we have to blame others or system or teachers
If we ourselves are flawed in the way we see education?

we do actually! it's not like we learned such trashy learning ability from the get go right? it was those teachers who taught us "this method" and if a thing has been going on for a while, not many people counter these flawd system as to how we perceive certain things. Unfortunately blaming the teachers isn't the correct thing to do realistically it's the students who has to realise what's the correct thing and don't trust those teachers who we paid to guide us in the right way.

what helps you the most with revision and like getting info in most effectively? personally i use mindmaps i look at to remember bits of content, blurt occasionally or even revise like ideas that two topics share and make links, we could find a way to do that effectively without too much energy into making stuff w/o learning and rehearsing it

depends how you mean, and what math content you’d be mapping out, ive always used practice and stuff, tho im lucky my school can pay for interactive sites that mark as you go

but if for like formulas and stuff you need to defo remember id say go for it, it’ll definitely contribute
