I would qualify this. Worldviews only work if they reflect reality in some way. If not, a particular worldview is not useful. No one can operate functionally if their worldview involves 2+2=8.

However, people will only pursue a functional worldview to the extent that it supports them. It doesn't mean they won't reject a worldview that doesn't support them. This includes more finer aspects of truth that aren't always relevant to daily life.

My point is not that people cannot run away from truth - they can, and that is basically essential part of what sin is.

My point is that people that willingly run away from Truth will notice it and will feel conflicted. Those who run away not realising it, will still believe to be in Truth.

The idea is that man craves Truth, and man will find something to ascribe the meaning of Truth, if he does not find Truth Itself - man needs to give his existence meaning, and lies will not work for that.
