Heyo guys I wanna ask for you all's opinions on my current situation. My 4 year old laptop's screen finally gave out yesterday that the screen at first appeared with pink and green lines, and now my whole screen is a combination of those two colors basically. I'm a student so I can't afford buying a new laptop, so I was wondering is it a good investment to buy a decent external monitor and use it from there. Plus, will my laptop still work on the long run despite once its screen lets say isn't usable anymore?

I havent spilled any liquid onto my laptop, I took good care of it for 4 years already. I did canvas at a mall and their offer is expensive for my non exsistent budget. I confirmed first if it was a software or a hardware problem and it is indeed a hardware problem. I don't see a point tho of replacing the screen for a 4 year old laptop turning 5 by the end of this year

I just finished using this laptop for my thesis and my classes so far doesn't require me bringing my laptop out of my house

honestly? i would scam the exam topics to see which ones you somehow know more . i would try to identify which ones you know better and put less focus in them and try to understand and do a lot of exercise of the ones you lack knowledge of. be also realistic, dont expect to master every exercise you do, but most importantly: dont panic and stay calm. you can do this.
stay hidrated along the long hours of study and if needed take small nap before (30 minutes max) if you are tired
