As a medical student i will always choose a sitting desk. Standing desks are good when u gotta rush things up like making presentation or cramming for a speech. Standing desks can even lead to varicose vein if u stand for long . So i will always prefer sitting desks with a leather chair which is hard enough to wake you up and soft enough to prevent backpain

I try to have as many as possible in my room/office because the space is not huge, so it can get messy quickly. i get what you mean, first thing to do is create friction by turning off programs that launch on start up. Then I recommend separating your productivity and leisure activities to two different browsers. For productivity I suggest Min browser. Make use of extensions on websites to limit your access on certain sites you know you tend to doomscroll

Depends on your work and budget, if u got extra devices u can put it on your table to use them as second monitor. If u lack devices and are on budget than I think your desk setup is the best. My brother studied with single laptop that too, a company MacBook and in bed because my area is super cold, and his bed was a pandora box of all items , completely chaotic with wires, speaker, chips etc. He is in google rn, so in the end it matters if the work is done. My brother upgraded his setup when he started earning way too much , For me I also had one device which was my iPad, but 90% things I stole from my brother setup which he discarded after 1 year to get new upgraded setup he found in Dubai . So don’t think much about your space to be fair

In the end budget and passion wins

This was my setup before but it got the work done, i used the same method in china and it got the work done flawlessly, i still passed my graduation, my tests , at the end study that is what mattered the most and it was still very productive , my brother saw me and he didnt want me to study the way he studied, so he gave me all his items , bought few things and my setup became this . So its all budget in the end

To be honest my productivity remains the same even after upgrade, the only thing that is helping me is the big screen reducing eye strain and more devices causing me to think less about which app to store where, otherwise except than these things nothing changed in my productivity
